    • Giants' starting linebacker Jacquian Williams (concussion)...

Giants' starting linebacker Jacquian Williams (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday night's game against the Cowboys, the New York Daily News reports.

Analysis: Williams sustained a concussion two weeks ago and still hasn't cleared league protocol, so he'll be sidelined for another contest. As a result, Mark Herzlich will likely start in Williams' place against the Cowboys, who sport an accomplished running game that should keep the Giants' linebackers plenty busy Sunday evening.

    • Ian Rapoport of NFL.com expects Sims...

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com expects Sims (ankle) to play Sunday against the Bears.

Analysis: We'll confirm this once the official inactive lists are announced, but it appears that Sims' playing status is trending in the right direction, despite making a surprise appearance on the injury report late this week. Rapoport also expects Doug Martin (ankle) to be active, so look for Sims to be involved in a committee with both Martin and Bobby Rainey.

    • Saints' top cornerback Keenan Lewis (knee)...

Saints' top cornerback Keenan Lewis (knee) is considered probable for Monday night's game against the Ravens.

Analysis: Lewis has dealt with a considerably swollen knee in recent weeks, although the issue did not prevent him from suiting up last weekend. In advance of this Monday's contest, Lewis was limited in practice during the week, but is still likely to play versus Baltimore, when he figures to matchup with wide receivers Torrey Smith and Steve Smith.

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com expects Martin (ankle) to play Sunday against the Bears.

Analysis: We'll confirm this prior to game time, but all signs had been leading up to Martin making his return to the field following a three-game absence. Rapoport also expects rookie Charles Sims (ankle) to play, which leaves the carry distribution in Tampa Bay a little bit cloudy at the moment.

    • Gray (not injury related) is slated...

Gray (not injury related) is slated to be active for Sunday's game against the Lions after missing Friday's practice for reporting late to the Patriots' facilty, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Analysis: The report adds that the Patriots are expected to make LeGarrette Blount active Sunday, with CBS's Jason LaCanfora suggesting that game-flow and production are likely to determine how much work Gray sees Sunday on the heels of his 201-yard, four-touchdown effort against the Colts last week. In any case, we'd expect Gray to see his share of Week 12 action, though facing a tough Detroit run defense, it wouldn't be surprising to see a scenario unfold in which the flow of Sunday's game leads to fellow RB Shane Vereen seeing a more prominent role than he saw in the team's Week 11 backfield, given his ability as a pass-catcher.
