    • Ball was charged with misdemeanor disorderly...

Ball was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with an alleged incident with his girlfriend last Friday morning, the Wisconsin State Journal reports.

Analysis: Ball spent this past weekend in jail as a result of the confrontation, and while he avoided a potential felony on his record, routine police work in the aftermath of Friday's argument could prove to make this situation worse for the running back. During an interview with an officer, it was revealed that older bruises around her mouth were the result of Ball allegedly striking her with the back of his right hand on Feb. 1. While the initial misdemeanor has a maximum penalty of 90 days in jail, the latter equates to misdemeanor battery, which comes with a maximum jail sentence of nine months. His fate won't be known until a Mar. 1 court date, at which point the NFL will likely make a ruling on the matter.

Coples is expected to be waived by Miami before free agency begins.

Analysis: Coples didn't play much once acquired by Miami so this news shouldn't catch anyone by surprise. His release would save the team $7.75 million against the cap.

    • Durant was released by the Falcons...

Durant was released by the Falcons on Monday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.

Analysis: Durant and William Moore were both casualties on the first date in which teams could make such moves, and neither was a surprise due to the injury-laden seasons each has cobbled together. In particular, Durant missed three games in 2015 with elbow and calf issues, which contained him to 82 tackles (57 solo) and one forced fumble. Considering his age (30) heading into the offseason, though, the outside linebacker shouldn't have a problem drumming up interest on the free-agent market.

    • Moore was released by the Falcons...

Moore was released by the Falcons on Monday, Adam Caplan of ESPN reports.

Analysis: Moore has managed just two complete 16-game seasons in his seven-year career, and 2015 wasn't one of them. Limited to 11 appearances due to groin and ankle concerns, he was eventually placed on injured reserve as a result of the latter injury, but not before totaling 51 tackles (38 solo), two interceptions, and one forced fumble. While he turns 31 in the offseason, he likely can offer safety depth to another organization, as long as he remains healthy.

    • Lynch's agent confirmed with the Associated...

Lynch's agent confirmed with the Associated Press on Monday that the running back intends to retire, Sheil Kapadia of reports.

Analysis: Every leak over the last two days has pointed to Lynch calling it a career, from Adam Schefter of ESPN stating Sunday that the RB has shared his thought process with teammates, Lynch himself tweeting a 'peace' emoji and a picture of green cleats hanging from a nail during the fourth quarter of Super Bowl 50, and the Seahawks' official site acknowledging the announcement shortly thereafter. The comments from Lynch's agent appear to be the cherry on top of the sundae, but the media-shy enigma will likely hold a press conference at some point to clear the final hurdle to retirement.
