Robertson is line to split first-team reps with rookie Chris Kirksey, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Analysis: Robertson and Kirksey are viewed by coach Mike Pettine as "both starters," and as a result, the playing time will depend on the personnel grouping in the given situation. This doesn't bode well for either players' outlook as an IDP.

    • Bell rushed for 23 yards on...

Bell rushed for 23 yards on nine carries, and had one reception for three yards in the Steelers' preseason game against Philadelphia Thursday.

Analysis: Bell, who was arrested for marijuana possession and suspicion of DUI on Wednesday, played into the fourth quarter of Thursday's game. So did teammate and backfield mate LeGarrette Blount, who was arrested along with Bell on Wednesday. With no league punishment expected anytime soon, the bigger issue for prospective fantasy owners is figuring out how the goal-line work will be divided. The Steelers didn't get in range to provide any hints Thursday, but it seems likely that Blount will at least handle some, if not most, of the goal-line carries. Bell still figures to get more touches, and he will be much more active as a receiver, but the Steelers have made it fairly clear that Blount will also be a big part of the offense.

One day after getting arrested for marijuana possession, Blount gained 32 yards on seven carries in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles.

Analysis: Blount played into the fourth quarter along with Le'Veon Bell, who was also arrested in Wednesday's incident. Neither player figures to receive punishment from the league anytime soon, and while they both drew the ire of the Steelers organization, the team doesn't really have any other running backs to turn to. Blount and Bell probably won't have their roles affected by the incident, with Bell still likely to see most of the touches, but Blount a threat to handle a good portion of the early-down work and perhaps most of the goal-line carries.

Roethlisberger completed 15-of-24 passes for 157 yards, with one touchdown and one interception in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles.

Analysis: The numbers don't tell the entire story, as Big Ben and the Steelers' starting offense struggled against the Eagles' first-team defense. The touchdown pass to Heath Miller, came well into the second half against Philadelphia's second-team defense. With one pre-season game remaining, in which he will likely see little-to-no-action, Roethlisberger has completed 24-of-37 passes for 328 yards, with three touchdowns and the one interception.

Barner gained 32 yards on seven carries in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.

Analysis: Barner played just fine, but so did his competition, Matthew Tucker (10-46-2) and Henry Josey (4-48). With LeSean McCoy, Darren Sproles and Chris Polk (hamstring) holding down the top three spots on the depth chart, Barner is one of three players competing for what will likely be one roster spot.
