Schaub completed 34-of-51 passes for 343 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in Sunday's loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: A solid game on paper for Schaub, but it wasn't enough as the Patriots exploded for 41 points. The Texans were forced to play from behind for most of the game, which helped Schuab's passing numbers. Sunday marked the second time in two seasons that the Texans failed to get past the Divisional Round.

Schaub completed 29-of-38 passes for 262 yards with one interception and was not sacked Saturday in Houston's 19-13 playoff victory over Cincinnati.
Analysis: To borrow a cliched word in describing Schaub's performance, it was workmanlike. The Texans controlled the ball for nearly 39 minutes and generated 420 yards of offense, getting into the red-zone four times. On the other hand, he threw one horrible pick (returned for a touchdown), failed to connect with Andre Johnson in the end zone (a ball not perfectly thrown, but one Johnson should be able to handle), and had to settle for three field goals when the Texans drove inside the Bengals' 10-yard-line. The win will keep the complaining fans off Schaub's back for a week, but he and his mates better be scoring seven when they get their opportunities next week in New England.

Schaub completed 24-of-36 passes with no touchdowns, two interceptions, and was sacked four times in Houston's loss to Indianapolis on Sunday.
Analysis: Schaub had a rough finish to the season, throwing one touchdown pass in the regular season's final four games. It was another disappointing day in the red-zone for the Texans, who settled for two field goals in three trips, giving them seven field goals and two touchdowns in their last nine trips to the red area.

Schaub completed 18-of-32 passes for 178 yards Sunday against the Vikings.
Analysis: A very disappointing day for Schaub, who failed to throw a touchdown for the second time in the last three games. In fact, he's gone three straight weeks without throwing for multiple scores and hasn't reached 265 passing yards since Week 12. With the loss Sunday, the Texans have to beat the Colts in Week 17 to secure a first-round playoff bye, which means Schaub will have something to play for in the last week of the season.

Schaub completed 23-of-31 passes for 261 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's win over the Colts.
Analysis: Schaub's average of 253.9 passing yards per game ranks him 12th in the NFL, while his 22 passing TDs are good for eight overall, serviceable numbers for fantasy owners. However, his upside on that front is somewhat limited by the fact that the Texans are tops in the league with an average of 33.7 rushes per game.

Schaub completed 19-of-32 passes for 232 yards and one interception in Monday's loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Schaub looked flustered all day, and could have easily thrown two or three interceptions. The Texans struggled to move the ball on the ground and through the air, while the Pats moved the ball with ease. The loss makes Sunday's game against the Colts a lot more meaningful.

Schaub completed 29-of-48 passes for 315 yards with a touchdown and an interception in Houston's overtime victory at Detroit on Thursday.
Analysis: This was not Sunday's 527-yard, five-touchdown extravaganza in yet another game that entered an extra session. However, Schaub directed a 15-play, 97-yard drive that ate up 5:43 of clock in the latter half of the fourth quarter that sent the game into overtime. During that drive, he completed a 16-yard dart to Andre Johnson on fourth-and-seven that kept the Texans' hopes alive. Schaub passes way into history books
Schaub threw a career-high five touchdown passes, completed a franchise-record 43 passes and finished with 527 yards passing, second most in NFL history. Andre Johnson accounted for more than half of Schaub's total yardage, hauling in 14 catches for 273 yards and a score. WATCH HIGHLIGHTS
Analysis: The result was a 37.08 point day for Schaub owners, a total which could have him finishing as the top-scoring fantasy player of Week 11. At number two is Johnson, who totaled 33.30 points for the day. While this kind of output on a weekly basis can't be expected, to see the duo regain their chemistry in time for a playoff run is a welcome sight for fantasy owners.

Matt Schaub: 527 Yards and Five TDs in OT Win Sunday
Schaub completed 43-of-55 passes for 527 yards, with five touchdowns, and two interceptions during Sunday's overtime win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: The game was an offensive shootout and with the Jaguars doing a good job of limiting the Texans' usually prolific running game, Schaub dominated through the air. He connected with nine different receivers, although the man of the day was Andre Johnson, who caught 14-of-19 balls thrown his way for 273 yards and a touchdown. The Texans will place Schaub (foot) on injured reserve, ending his season, NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports.
Analysis: This is a tough blow for the Texans, who will now turn to Matt Leinart to guide the team to the playoffs. The Texans signed Kellen Clemens to fill Schaub's roster spot. Schaub will likely undergo surgery on his Lisfranc injury in the near future.

Schaub will travel to Charlotte (N.C.) on Tuesday to have his foot examined by a specialist, the Texans' official site reports.
Analysis: The plan calls for Schaub to be examined Wednesday morning, and the Texans should know exactly what they're dealing with and how long Schaub is expected to be out. At that time, the team will make a decision on signing a veteran backup to Matt Leinart.

Schaub (foot) acknowledged that the chances he plays again this season "doesn't look good," but he holds out that he can play again, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: Schaub will meet with specialists next week to see if there's a way he can avoid surgery and play again this season. "My foot is pretty much the size of a cinder block right now, but we're going to search out some other opinions and do as much as we can to get it right and see what will happen," Fantasy owners should already be preparing their contingency plans with the expectation that Schaub will be of no use the rest of the way. The quarterback added that the foot was injured during a quarterback sneak when Tampa Bay's defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth fell on his foot.

Schaub is expected to visit with specialists next week before making a decision on undergoing season-ending foot surgery, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: An MRI on Monday revealed an injury to the Lisfranc joint in Schaub's right foot. Even if Schaub elects not to have surgery, it looks like he'll miss significant time with no guarantee he's available for the regular season or postseason, should Houston qualify. Matt Leinart will take over the offense, starting in Week 12 after Houston's bye week. Schaub sustained the injury during Sunday's win over Tampa Bay when someone fell on the back of his foot on a quarterback sneak.

Matt Schaub: Out Indefinitely With Foot Injury
Coach Gary Kubiak has yet to confirm that Schaub (foot) is out for the season, Nick Scurfield of The Texans' official site reports. "It was described to me as a significant injury that they're trying to evaluate," Kubiak said Monday of the QB's injury. "I know it's been reported a couple places exactly what's going on, but as of right now, they haven't given me any conclusions. They're just trying to give me their opinions on what we should do and how we should handle it as of today."
Analysis: Kubiak acknowledged that Schaub will be in a walking boot this week and will begin visiting specialists to check on the injury next Monday or Tuesday. In any case, Schaub is out indefinitely and our gut feeling is we've seen the last of him this year, but obviously nothing is official on that front yet.

Matt Schaub: Foot Injury to End Season
Schaub is out for the season with a Lisfranc injury, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Analysis: Schefter is as solid an NFL injury source as there is, so it looks like IR is the next stop for Schaub. As a result, Matt Leinart gets the keys to a Houston offense that features a strong running attack and the impending return of stud wideout Andre Johnson.

Matt Schaub: Out With Foot Injury
Schaub has a "significant foot injury that's being evaluated as we speak," coach Gary Kubiak noted Monday, Nick Scurfield of The Texans' official site reports.
Analysis: Kubiak added that Schaub is "gonna miss some time. We're going to do everything we can to get it evaluated correctly and see if we can get him back." Either way, Matt Leinart will start the Texans' next game (Nov. 27) against the Jags and from the sound of it, beyond that week as well.

Schaub completed 11-of-15 passes for 242 yards and two touchdown strikes in Houston's 37-9 over Tampa Bay in Week 10 on Sunday.
Analysis: It was another game where the Texans accentuated the ground game, as his 15 attempts were a season low, but Schaub was able to connect on two long bombs for scores. He hit Jacoby Jones on the game's opening play for an 80-yard score and later Arian Foster turned a reception into a 78-yard touchdown.

Schaub completed 14-of-23 passes for 119 yards with an interception and scored a rushing touchdown in Houston's win over Cleveland on Sunday.
Analysis: Something to consider going forward is the strength of Houston's ground game, which had both Arian Foster and Ben Tate rush for more than 100 yards for the second time this season. The more Houston relies on the ground attack, the less Schaub needs to do. That might be the result of missing Andre Johnson (hamstring) from the attack, but Schaub's pass attempts are still down from past seasons. Sunday was the fourth game this season that Schaub has thrown less than 25 times, and he's throwing eight less passes per game in 2011 than he did in 2010.
