Brandon Gibson: Agrees to Join Miami
Gibson agreed to a contract with Miami on Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Analysis: The Dolphins are now loaded at receiver, where all of Gibson, Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline and Davone Bess are established commodities. That's a lot of money tied up in one position, though, especially with the team owning two second-round picks and two third-round picks, so it'll be interesting to see if Bess can hold on to his spot.

The Dolphins are said to be interested in Gibson, according to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.
Analysis: This even though they just signed Mike Wallace to a big free agent deal. Gibson will, however, visit the Jets first.

The Rams will not re-sign Gibson this offseason, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The team viewed Gibson as a No. 3 or 4 receiver in their organization, but Gibson is pursuing a No. 2 role and has generated buzz from several teams already. Depending on where he ends up, he could make for a nice sleeper pick in fantasy leagues with more looks potentially headed his way in a new offense.

Brandon Gibson: Likely Won't Return In 2013
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch doesn't believe that the Rams will re-sign Gibson this offseason.
Analysis: The Rams are thin at wide receiver with Danny Amendola and Gibson set to become unrestricted free agents this offseason. Re-signing Amendola is likely higher on the Rams' to-do list, but the two aren't close on terms. The Rams need to use their limited salary cap space on other assets, so Gibson may be catching balls for another team in 2013.

Gibson had three receptions for 45 yards in Week 17 and finished 2012 with 51 receptions for 691 yards and a team-leading five touchdowns.
Analysis: Gibson was listed as the Rams' No. 1 wide receiver on their depth chart for most of the year, but don't confuse the label as fact. He is, at best, a decent No. 2 wideout, and is far from a consistent, reliable fantasy option. That being said, he is just 25 years old and has shown some real potential. Gibson, along with Danny Amendola, will be a free agent this offseason, and it's likely the team will decide to keep one or the other and spend the rest of their money on a potential No. 1 wideout like Victor Cruz. If Gibson is back, he'll once again compete for one of the starting jobs, but up-and-comers like Chris Givens and Brian Quick may make that more difficult than it has been the last three seasons.

Gibson had six catches on eight targets for 76 yards Sunday against the Vikings.
Analysis: Gibson has been a popular option lately, with 17 total targets over the last two games. While he doesn't get into the end zone that often, he seems to be getting the yardage lately to make him a feasible option in some fantasy leagues.

Gibson had a team-high 100 yards on six receptions with one touchdown during the Rams comeback victory at Buffalo in Week 14.
Analysis: Gibson, who was held without a reception in Week 13 against the 49ers, came through in a big way on Sunday and re-established himself as one of the Rams' primary receiving threats. Of course being one of the Rams' primary receiving threats is still a long way from being a primary fantasy receiving threat.

Gibson had three catches on five targets for nine yards and two touchdowns Sunday against the Jets.
Analysis: A fairly quiet game for Gibson, if not for the two touchdowns. Nevertheless, for those who needed him as a bye-week fill-in were surely bragging about their move. His five targets were good for fourth on the team, behind Danny Amendola, Chris Givens and Austin Pettis, all of whom finished with more yards.

Gibson had three receptions for 47 yards during the Rams' Week 10 game against the 49ers.
Analysis: Gibson, the club's No. 1 wide receiver, was almost non-existent all game until a 24 yard gain to end everything in OT. He was targeted six times and based on his status on the depth chart one has to believe he'll be more active in Week 11 when the Rams take on the Jets.

Gibson had just three receptions for 46 yards during the Rams' loss to the Patriots in Week 8.
Analysis: Gibson had been the club's most targeted wide receiver since Danny Amendola went down with his collarbone injury, but was targeted just those three times on Sunday. With Amendola set to return after the Rams' bye and rookie Chris Givens having become the club's primary deep threat, we can only assume that Gibson's high water mark as a fantasy option has come and gone.

Gibson had a team-high five receptions for 60 yards during the Rams' loss to Green Bay in Week 7.

Gibson (knee) was not listed on St. Louis' injury report Wednesday.
Analysis: Gibson was dealing with a minor knee injury of late but looks to be fine going forward. With Danny Amendola (collarbone) out for at least the next month, Gibson figures to be the No. 1 receiving threat in his absence. He's unlikely to match Amendola's nearly 10 targets per game, but Gibson should experience a modest bump in his 4.6 through five weeks.

Amendola to miss significant time
NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Friday that Amendola suffered a "shoulder separation where the collarbone meets the chest," according to a source who has spoken with the player. Amendola is expected to miss six to seven weeks. FULL REPORT
Analysis: Brandon Gibson should become Sam Bradford's top target in Amendola's absence, especially in the red zone. Gibson is second on the team with 13 catches, compared to Amendola's 32 this season, and he is tied with 2 TDs. Still, he will be a matchup play in fantasy land, trusted best as a No. 3 WR.

Amendola to have shoulder examined
Sources familiar with the situation told Flanagan after the game that the Rams fear Amendola, who was seen with his right arm in a sling, broke his collarbone. Amendola will have a CT scan on Friday morning.
Analysis: Even if it's not a broken collarbone, Amendola could be out of action for a significant amount of time. Brandon Gibson is next in line as the Rams' top target, but he's not yet worthy of starting in most fantasy leagues.

Gibson (hamstring) was able to play in Saturday night's preseason loss to Dallas, catching one pass for 14 yards.
Analysis: Gibson had missed two weeks with the hamstring injury and had found himself on the bubble for a roster spot. Analysis: Gibson was having a great camp until he sustained a "lower leg" injury that now appears to be a hamstring. Gibson (leg fatigue) has not practiced all week and he's questionable to play in the club's first preseason game on Sunday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Gibson's exact injury, if there even is one, has not been disclosed by the club to this point so, we'll just go with the one thing head coach Jeff Fisher did say at the beginning of the week, "leg fatigue." Gibson was shining early in camp so this setback has to be very frustrating, especially with the wide receiver competition so tight and fierce. The good news for Gibson is that Danario Alexander can't seem to stay on the field either so, he's not losing any ground to the former Missouri stand-out.

Gibson stood out during the club's first full scrimmage Saturday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Gibson has opened training camp as one of the Rams' two starting wide receivers, and he did nothing to hurt that standing Saturday making two acrobatic sideline grabs. The issue with Gibson is that he has a history of looking awfully good in camp and then disappearing for long stretches during the regular season. That being said, starting quarterback Sam Bradford has stated he's very comfortable with Gibson, and if he continues to run crisp routes and make plays, then he's destined to have a roster spot, although his position on the depth chart is still subject to change.

Gibson appears to be on the bubble heading into training camp this year, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Gibson may have been a starter and the Rams' most consistent wide receiver the last two years but nothing is guaranteed this season. The club has added four rookie wideouts over the last two years and has also brought in veteran Steve Smith. We think he'll make the final roster but there is a lot more talent on this roster than in the past.
