After releasing Beanie Wells, the Cardinals reportedly could be interested in Bush, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis: Bush is also firmly on the Lions' free-agent radar, with the team looking to fill the void at running back created by Jahvid Best's recurring concussion issues. Other teams could enter the mix, of course, but either way, it looks like Bush is ready to move on from Miami once free agency hits.

Reggie Bush: Dolphins Not Interested

The Dolphins are not interested in re-signing Bush, SI.com reports. A source "close to the running back" said three teams have shown interest in Bush but the Dolphins are not one of them.

Analysis: It appears that the team is content on moving forward with Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller at running back. Since signing with the Dolphins in 2011, Bush has rushed 443 times for 2,072 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also broke his injury-prone label, as he missed just one game over that span.

The Lions are reportedly interested in Bush, the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis: Bush would provide the Lions with a nice alternative to Mikel Leshoure, but it's unclear at this point whether or not the team can reel Bush in, with a time-share likely on tap if he did end up with Detroit.

The Dolphins have opened up contract negotiations with Bush, according to the Miami Herald.

Analysis: The Dolphins are not against the return of Bush, but they want him at their price and Bush wants a raise. It still seems unlikely at this point that Bush returns to south Florida.

Bush is only expected to return to Miami if he can't find a big deal elsewhere, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly.

Analysis: The Dolphins have plenty of room under the cap to sign Bush should they choose, but it seems likely they will look to solidify other specific team needs first.

Reggie Bush: Hopes To Stay In Miami

The Dolphins have had no contact with Bush in regards to a new contract, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Analysis: Bush reportedly wants to stay with Miami and is confused as to why the team has yet to make an offer. The Dolphins love Lamar Miller and Bush's role on the team could be reduced even significantly if he were to return

Reggie Bush: Appears Likely To Test Free Agency

It is becoming more and more likely that Bush will test free agency, the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero reports.

Analysis: There is always a chance that Bush comes back to Miami, but this could also be the last big contract that he signs. He will more than likely go to the highest bidder, and Miami is not expected to be that team.

Bush only had eight rushes for 26 yards and two receptions for 23 yards in Week 17.

Analysis: Like most of the Dolphins, Bush had an up and down season. He suffered a knee injury early in the year which seemed to slow him down, was benched for fumbling, seemed to lose the starting job to Daniel Thomas, but then finished the season strong showing that he still can be a playmaker. The Dolphins let it be known over the past couple of weeks that they would like to re-sign Bush, but odds are he is just going to go with whomever offers him the biggest contract.

Dolphins have changed course and now would like to re-sign Bush, according to the Miami Herald.

Analysis: However, there is one caveat: they want to re-sign Bush at their price. In other words, once he enters free agency, if another team were to make a big offer for his services, Miami would not get into a bidding war. One has to wonder why Miami changed their minds on Bush. Perhaps the play of Daniel Thomas just hasn't inspired them all that much.

Bush proves dependable as No. 1 RB

Analysis: It was Bush's best total of the season and his third straight double-digit performance. The back has thrived since joining the Dolphins and should be on your radar come draft day next season.

Jags among worst vs. the run

In his Week 15 "Start 'Em, Sit 'Em" analysis, Michael Fabiano notes the Jaguars defense has "given up the second-most fantasy points to backs overall. In fact, their defense has allowed over 26 points to the position in two straight games." FULL START 'EM, SIT 'EM

Analysis: While he's been inconsistent in the stat sheets in 2012, Reggie Bush is still a tremendous option for fantasy owners this week.

Bush is set to become a free agent after the season, according to the Miami Herald.

Analysis: This should not come as a surprise as Miami has been unable to figure out how to use Bush successfully in Joe Philbin's offense. Bush is 110 rushing yards short of his second consecutive 1000 yard season with Miami. He won't be a Dolphin next season, but won't be unemployed for long once free agency begins in March.

Bush had as many targets (seven) and passes caught (six) last Sunday than he had in the previous six games, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Analysis: It may have taken 13 games, but the Dolphins seem to finally be figuring out that Bush can be a pretty good option receiving out of the backfield. Earlier in the season, the Dolphins would take Bush out on third downs because they didn't like his blitz pickup. They seem to realize now that they can't take out their best playmaker when they need him most.

Bush had 14 carries for 65 rushing yards and five catches on seven targets for 38 receiving yards Sunday against the 49ers.

Analysis: A fairly productive day for Bush, who finished with over 100 total yards for the first time since Week 2. It's been a disappointing season for Bush's fantasy owners given that he started the season as the primary back for the Dolphins. However, it should get easier next week against a Jaguars' defense that allowed 166 rushing yards to the Jets on Sunday.

49ers defense stingy to opposing RBs

In his Week 14 "Like/Dislike" analysis, Adam Rank notes, "The 49ers have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, and just two rush touchdowns in their last 16 home games." READ: LIKE/DISLIKE

Analysis: Reggie Bush has had less than 85 scrimmage yards in 10 consecutive games. Bush's prospects of breaking the trend don't bode well against the stout 49ers defense.

49ers defense stingy to opposing RBs

In his Week 14 "Start 'Em, Sit 'Em" analysis, Michael Fabiano notes that since 2011, the 49ers defense "has allowed an average of 75 rushing yards, 6.66 fantasy points and no touchdowns to runners the week after a loss. Analysis: Bush has had just one good stat line in recent weeks, and an upcoming matchup against the Niners is not favorable.

Bush had 15 carries for 64 yards Sunday against the Patriots.

Analysis: Bush finished with three times as many carries as backup Daniel Thomas, but wasn't able to get much going against a strong Patriots' run defense. Bush has scored only two touchdowns since Week 5 and he hasn't recorded more than 85 total yards in a game during that span. The Dolphins' offense is just not strong enough right now to make Bush a valuable fantasy piece in most leagues.

Bush on a cold streak

Analysis: Bush has hit a rough patch of late, scoring less than seven points in three of his last four games. With a matchup against the 49ers next week, things might not improve any time soon.

RB key to Dolphins success

In his "Week 13 Predictions" analysis, Elliot Harrison notes, "Miami has been inconsistent on the ground, averaging only 90 yards per game and 3.7 yards per carry in their six losses." FULL WEEK 13 PREDICTIONS

Analysis: Bush finally returned to form last week, posting 14.20 fantasy points after a two game stretch where he totaled just 4.40 points. The Patriots rank 10th against the run, allowing an average of 100 yards per game and seven touchdowns this season.

Bush had 14 carries for 87 rushing yards and a touchdown, as well as one catch on three targets for -5 receiving yards Sunday against the Seahawks.

Analysis: While Bush's 6.2 YPC were impressive, backup Daniel Thomas finished with nine carries for 60 yards, a 6.7 YPC average, and a touchdown. Bush hasn't had more than 14 carries in a game since Week 5, while Thomas has 21 carries in the last two games. It doesn't appear that the Dolphins are moving toward a split but Thomas is clearly getting his fair share of the touches out of the backfield lately, which only eats into Bush's touches.

Seahawks stout vs. opposing RBs

In his Week 12 "Like/Dislike" analysis, Adam Rank notes, "The Seahawks are also a tough matchup for Reggie Bush, as they have allowed the fourth-fewest points to fantasy running backs in 2012." FULL LIKE/DISLIKE ANALYSIS

Analysis: Danny Thomas isn't much of an option, either. Thomas has some flex appeal with the right matchup, but this isn't it.

Bush had 10 rushes for 20 yards and caught two passes for 15 yards Thursday against the Bills.

Analysis: After getting benched last week, Bush did very little to win back the job despite actually starting in a cushy matchup. Daniel Thomas ended up with 12 carries for 33 yards as Bush continues to fall out of favor in Miami. Seattle's 12th ranked run defense will be next up on an extended week.

Bush is expecting to bounce back in a big way in Thursday's game versus Buffalo, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Analysis: Though Bush was benched for part of this past Sunday's contest because of a fumble, he is playing Buffalo on Thursday, a team that hasn't been able to stop anyone's running game, giving up a league-high 163.7 yards per game on the ground to date. Another thing to keep in mind however is that Bush is most likely playing his last season in Miami and Daniel Thomas has now received more snaps than Bush in three straight games. Still, given the favorable matchup, we wouldn't bet against a Week 11 bounce-back for Bush.

Bush to thrive versus Bills

In his Week 11 "Fantasy Mailbag," fantasy guru Michael Fabiano notes the Bills defense allows "an average of 38 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs on their home field. That's eight more points allowed to running backs in home games than the next worst team (Jacksonville Jaguars) has surrendered in 2012." FULL FANTASY MAILBAG

Analysis: Despite his benching last week, Bush should be right back atop the depth chart in what looks to be a prime matchup against the Bills. Start him as needed, especially with so many top backs on a bye week.

Analysis: Bush's lack of activity wasn't just a matter of the Dolphins falling behind and abandoning the run, but a punishment for the fumble. "I didn't deserve to be back in there," Bush said. I've been in this league long enough to know protecting the ball is the most important thing as a running back."

Analysis: A dreadful performance for Bush and the Dolphins, as they were dominated the entire game. Down 14-0 after one quarter, the Dolphins had to abandon the run and Bush just wasn't able to do anything in the passing game to make himself fantasy-relevant. Up next is a Bills defense that has been one of the worst in the league against the run this season.

Bush carrying Dolphins' Super Bowl hopes

In his "Super Bowl Contenders" analysis, NFL.com's Bucky Brooks notes, "Reggie Bush has become a dangerous workhorse in the backfield. Although he has recorded just one 100-yard game this season, the fact that Bush averages 4.4 yards per attempt is enough to command eight-man fronts on a consistent basis." Analysis: Bush also ranks as a Week 10 Start 'Em for Michael Fabiano, who notes the Titans "defense has given up the third-most rushing yards and the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs, so Bush is in a position to find statistical success."

Bush had 10 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Colts. He also had two catches on three targets for 25 yards.

Analysis: The 18-yard touchdown run in the second quarter was vintage Bush, making defenders look silly as he weaved and juked his way to the score. It was his first touchdown since October 7 against Cincinnati and he's now failed to gain at least 100 yards since Week 2. He next faces a Titans' defense that allowed 160 yards on the ground to the Bears on Sunday.

Take out Bush's 65-yard TD run against Oakland and the Dolphins are only averaging 3.4 yards per carry. This could very well be the game plan of opposing teams, stop Bush and run game and force a rookie quarterback in Ryan Tannehill to beat them.

An MRI revealed that Bush did not suffer any structural damage to his left knee in Sunday's loss to the Jets, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Analysis: The report also suggests that Bush could play Sunday at Arizona, though we'll have to see what he is able to do in practice later on this week before signing off on that notion. Still, it's great news that Bush has apparently avoided a scenario involving a potential multi-week absence.

Reggie Bush: (Knee) Any Absence Should Be Brief

Analysis: Bush could very well miss this week's game against Arizona, but it sounds like his knee sprain is minor and he shouldn't miss more than a couple games.

Analysis: If Bush is forced to miss time, as feared, then second-year back Daniel Thomas and rookie Lamar Miller would be called upon to fill in, likely in a time-share to begin with.

The injury to Bush's knee is not expected to be serious, according to Miami Herald's Armando Salguero.

Analysis: Bush tried his best to get back into the game by running on the sideline, but the knee stiffened up on him. He will still have an MRI on Monday, so he's not out of the woods yet, but it looks like he may have escaped serious injury.

Reggie Bush: Left Knee Issue

Bush never returned to Sunday's loss to the Jets, after limping off the field with 23 seconds left in the first half with a left knee injury, NFL.com reports.

Analysis: Bush was later seen on the sideline working with a trainer and riding an exercise bike, so hopefully his knee issue is not a major one. Prior to his exit, Bush carried the ball 10 times for 61 yards. With Bush banged up, Daniel Thomas finished with 19 carries for 69 yards with a touchdown and fumble, while Lamar Miller recorded nine carries for 48 yards.

That may be part of the problem though as Miami may not want to overpay for a running back they may still consider to be injury prone. If Bush wants a huge contract, there is a good chance the Dolphins will let him walk and go with Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller next season.

Week 2 Touches Leaders

Arian Foster led all RBs in touches (34) in Week 2, followed by Reggie Bush (29). Surprises of the week included Cedric Benson and BenJarvus Green-Ellis, with 24 touches each.

Analysis: Bush trails only C.J. Spiller as fantasy's top RB. His current production level makes him as a must-start each week.

Reggie Bush: Huge Game Sunday

Bush had 26 carries for 172 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's win over the Raiders. He also added three catches for 25 yards.

Analysis: Bush was a monster Sunday, scoring on touchdowns of 23 and 65 yards during the third quarter. He remains the best fantasy option in Miami, although that doesn't say a whole lot these days. While he is usually more successful for fantasy owners in PPR leagues, he was likely valuable for everyone Sunday.

Bush had 14 carries for 69 yards and six catches for 46 yards during Sunday's loss to the Texans.

Analysis: The Dolphins offense didn't score a single touchdown, although Bush still accounted for 115 total yards. Backup Daniel Thomas suffered a head injury during the game, meaning Bush's already heavy workload could get heavier.

Bush had five carries for 17 yards in Miami's loss to Atlanta on Friday.

Analysis: Bush could have a big season for Miami as he may be their only true offensive threat, but the problem is the opposing defense also knows this and will do all they can to stop him.

Bush had three carries for two yards and a single reception for nine yards on Friday.

Analysis: Bush believes he is in store for another big season, but with Miami's passing offense looking like a big time work in progress, opposing defenses are going to load up to stop him.

Bush carried four times for 17 yards in Friday's preseason opener against the Bucs.

Analysis: Bush, who didn't catch a pass in the game, remains atop the Dolphins' RB depth chart, but he'll have to contend with second-year back Daniel Thomas, rookie Lamar Miller and even veteran Steve Slaton for looks in the team's backfield this season. Still, if he is involved more in the passing game -- and that seems to be the plan -- he figures to top last year's mark of 43 catches for 296 yards, provided he can stay healthy.

Bush ready to run the ball "a lot"

Analysis: Bush is hoping to build off a career season by exceeding his 1,086 yards rushing. The running backs unit will be leaned on heavily to move the chains now that Brandon Marshall has gone to Chicago. Bush will still have to hold off Daniel Thomas, but he is a viable No. 2 or 3 fantasy running back.

Analysis: There was some thought that Bush may have missed OTAs on Tuesday because of a contract issue, but apparently he was just having a good time in Vegas.

Analysis: The old regime didn't want to risk injury to Bush so the job was handed to WR Davone Bess. The new regime however likes the depth they have at RB and also wants the ball in the hands of their best playmaker as much as possible.

Analysis: While it's good to see Bush with high expectations, he may want to remember that there is no Brandon Marshall on the team anymore and with the Dolphins having question marks at QB and WR, opposing defenses are sure to concentrate on eliminating the running game and forcing whoever the starter is at quarterback to beat them.

The addition of RB Lamar Miller in the 2012 draft could signify that the Dolphins won't look to re-sign Bush when his contract runs out after this season.

Analysis: Bush proved last season that he could handle the full-time role, perhaps the Dolphins just wanted some insurance in case he get injured, but this seems to be the team's way of saying we will go on without you after 2012.

Bush's first season in Miami was a good one as he had 1086 yards rushing, 296 yards receiving, and seven touchdowns.

Analysis: Bush also only missed one game, the last one, proving all of his doubters wrong as he was able to handle the every down role. The problem is next season the Dolphins are likely to have a new coach, and that coach may not want to use Bush as much as the current coaching staff did. Where Bush goes in the year's fantasy draft should be very interesting, could be a boom or bust type of player.

Analysis: Now we know specifically what is ailing Bush and Wednesday's absence from practice is certianly troubling as the Dolphins' season finale approaches.

Analysis: The Dolphins had better hope that's the case, as fellow RB Daniel Thomas suffered a knee injury in the game. More on the status of Bush, who had 22 carries for 113 yards Saturday, in the coming days.

Analysis: Bush had a big first half en route to his fourth straight 100-yard game. He needed just 27 yards to eclipse 1,000 yards for the first time in his career, so he easily reached that milestone. Daniel Thomas left the game with a knee injury, meaning Bush could see even more work in Week 17.

Bush ran wild in Sunday's win at Buffalo, rushing for a career-high 203 yards with a touchdown.

Analysis: Bush already had his third straight 100-yard before ripping off a 76-yard touchdown with 5:41 remaining. Meanwhile, Daniel Thomas was quiet once again, rushing for just 42 yards on 11 carries. Bush has two games left to get a couple of yards for the first 1,000-yard campaign in his career.

Bush ran for 103 yards on 14 carries and caught five passes for 27 yards in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Eagles.

Analysis: While Bush was effective, his 100-yard game is somewhat misleading, as the Dolphins fed him the ball a few times in the final minute to run the clock out. Even still, Bush outperformed Daniel Thomas once again, as Thomas ended up with only four yards on seven carries.

Bush ran for 100 yards on 22 carries and added a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Raiders.

Analysis: Bush outperformed rookie Daniel Thomas once again, as Thomas finished with 73 yards on 13 carries. Bush's touchdown came from just one yard out, and he's had a number of short scores this season. On the downside, he failed to catch a pass Sunday, and was targeted just twice.

Bush had 61 yards on the ground and 35 yards through the air in the loss to Dallas on Thursday.

Analysis: Bush had some success in the first half, but as the game wore on the Dolphins simply threw the ball to move the chains as Dallas seemed focused on stopping the Dolphins rushing attack.

Bush had 15 carries for 32 yards with a touchdown and added four receptions for 34 yards in Sunday's 35-8 win over the Bills.

Analysis: Bush has been held in check over the last two games in terms of rushing yardage, but he's scored a touchdown in three consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, Daniel Thomas had the same number of carries as Bush, although he was more effective, gaining 50 yards on the ground. Expect Bush to continue to share the load with Thomas, assuming the rookie's hamstring continues to hold up.

Bush had 14 carries for 47 yards with a pair of touchdowns and caught four passes in Sunday's win over the Redskins.

Analysis: Bush averaged just 3.4 yards per carry, but once again did a decent job of breaking tackles and ran with authority. Meanwhile, rookie Daniel Thomas (hamstring) saw his most extensive work in weeks, carrying the ball 17 times for 42 yards. While Thomas wasn't effective Sunday on a per-play basis, he appears to be getting healthier, and will probably continue to eat into Bush's touches.

Bush (neck) had 13 carries for 92 yards with a touchdown and caught three passes for 50 yards in Sunday's win at Kansas City.

Analysis: Bush ran hard and effectively, just missing out on his second straight 100-yard rushing game. Meanwhile, Daniel Thomas (hamstring) played, although he was a non-factor, rushing for just 12 yards on seven carries. In fact, Thomas didn't even touch the ball until late in the third quarter with Bush performing well. At this point, expect Bush to continue to see between 15-20 touches per game with Thomas still not 100 percent.

Reggie Bush: Active Sunday

Bush (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Analysis: Bush will play, but so will Daniel Thomas, so expecting anything more than 10-12 touches for Bush is probably a mistake. Still, the Chiefs are giving up a lot of fantasy points to opposing running backs this season, so Bush could be a good flex play.
