Jackson had three catches (on seven targets) for 50 yards against the Falcons on Sunday. He finishes the season with 72 catches (on 147 targets) for 1,384 yards and eight touchdowns.
Analysis: Jackson set career-highs in receptions, yardage and had the second-highest YPC (19.2) and number of touchdowns (eight) in 2012. He will remain the top receiving target for the Buccaneers in 2013 and should continue to be a strong option at WR in nearly all fantasy formats.

Jackson had seven catches on 15 targets for 108 yards Sunday against the Rams.
Analysis: A nice output for Jackson, although fantasy owners were surely hoping he could have caught more of the 15 balls thrown his way. Jackson has recorded at least 100 yards in two of the last three games and finishes the season against a Falcons' defense that gave up 96 yards to him in Week 12.

Jackson having career season
In his "Underrated Storylines" analysis, Around The League writer Kareem Copeland notes, "Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Vincent Jackson has put together a career-year in his first season with the Bucs. He has caught 62 passes for a career-high 1,226 yards and eight touchdowns so far. He's one score shy of matching a career high." READ: UNDERRATED STORYLINES
Analysis: Jackson will be squaring off against the Rams 9th ranked pass defense this week and has scored double-digit fantasy points just once his last four outings. That said, Jackson still poses a threat given his rapport with Josh Freeman. Consider him best as a No. 3 WR or flex play this week.

Jackson (groin) practiced Friday, San Diego Union-Tribune writer Kevin Acee reports.
Analysis: That's a positive sign, but note that the Chargers kick off during the second wave of games this week, so hopefully we'll be able to gather additional info with regards to his chances of playing Sunday in the meantime.

Coach Norv Turner hasn't ruled Jackson (groin) out from playing in Sunday's game against the Raiders, the San Diego Union Tribune reports. "I think Vincent wants to play, and if he feels good and it isn't something that he can injure more, then he'll play," said Turner.
Analysis: Mind you the Chargers have nothing to play for this week and Jackson is on track to be a free agent, a pair of variables that would suggest that the wideout would have to be feeling at or close to 100 percent Sunday to give it a go. So far, he hasn't practiced this week.

Jackson (groin) did not practice Thursday, San Diego Union-Tribune writer Kevin Acee reports.
Analysis: The Chargers have nothing to play for Sunday in terms of a playoff slot, so unless Jackson is out there -- looking and feeling good -- at practice Friday, we suspect he might take a seat in the Chargers' season finale.

Vincent Jackson: Misses Practice Wednesday
Jackson (groin) is not practicing Wednesday, Michael Gehlken of NBC San Diego reports.
Analysis: We'll revisit Jackson's status Thursday, but with the Chargers out of the playoff hunt, the team has no incentive to rush the wideout back for Sunday's season finale.

Jackson (groin) caught two passes for 41 yards in Saturday's loss to the Lions.
Analysis: The Chargers have been eliminated from playoff contention, so if Jackson, who did not appear to be 100 percent Saturday, is hobbled at all next week, it's possible that the Chargers could hold him out of their regular season finale.

Vincent Jackson: Will Give it a Go Saturday
Jackson (groin) is active for Saturday's game against the Lions, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Analysis: Jackson may not be 100 percent, but he'll give it a go Saturday and according to Acee, the wideout "actually looked good changing direction" in warmups.

Jackson plans to test his groin injury in warmups to see if he can play in Saturday's 4:05 ET kickoff against the Lions, Sirius/XM's Adam Caplan reports.
Analysis: Caplan adds that he is hearing that had this been a game of lesser importance, Jackson probably would be listed as doubtful or out. In any case, the Chargers' wideout's status is cloudy and in the game-time decision category.

Vincent Jackson: Questionable for Saturday
Jackson (groin) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Lions, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Analysis: Jackson's groin has evidently not responded as well as hoped, so there is genuine concern regarding his availability for Saturday's game. Possibly complicating things for his fantasy owners is the Chargers' 4:05 ET kickoff.

Vincent Jackson: Game-Time Decision
Jackson's groin has apparently not responded as well as hoped, so he looks like a game-time decision for Saturday's game against the Lions, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Analysis: Given the Chargers' 4:05 ET start Saturday, those interested in rolling with Jackson this week hopefully have a viable plan B available. We'll keep an eye out to see if his Week 16 prognosis either brightens or dims leading up to kickoff.

Jackson had only two catches for 25 yards and did not score in San Diego's Week 12 loss against the Broncos.
Analysis: This continues an alarming pattern of huge game followed by complete no show for Jackson, who has been extremely hot and cold this year.
