The deal Flacco and the Ravens agreed to Friday is said to be for six years and more than $120 million, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Analysis: Once inked, Flacco will reportedly become the highest paid player in NFL history. The 28-year-old has started all 80 regular season games for Baltimore since they drafted him in 2008, with a 54-26 record, and he won Super Bowl MVP in his fifth year as starter. Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome said during Tuesday's Super Bowl Media Day that Flacco, who will be a free agent after the season, will "be playing football for [the Ravens] next year," CBS Sports reports. "We'll be able to get that thing done," Newsome said regarding a contract for Flacco. "Joe and I have a good understanding of where his contract is."
Analysis: The expectation is that the Ravens will use a $14.6 million franchise tag on Flacco, giving the Ravens until July to negotiate a long-term deal. Flacco is reportedly seeking a contract that would pay him $20 million annually, putting him in Peyton Manning territory.

The Ravens surprisingly didn't use the no-huddle offense that much in their 24-23 loss to the Eagles on Sunday, observes Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com's Around the League. Joe Flacco (22-42-232) was completely out of synch in the second half, and Baltimore surprisingly went away from Ray Rice (16 carries, 99 yards), despite leading much of the game and Rice dominating.
Analysis: The Ravens' no-huddle in Week 1 that had fantasy owners drooling over Flacco's prospects this season were tempered a bit with Cam Cameron's more conservative approach in Week 2. It might be a week-to-week thing with the Ravens, based on opponent. Going away from Rice should be a little more…read more

Flacco completed 21-of-29 passes for 299 yards and two touchdowns Monday against the Bengals.
Analysis: In a sign of things to come, Flacco connected on a 52-yard bomb with Torrey Smith on the first play of the game and never looked back. Spreading the ball to eight different receivers, he carved up the Cincy secondary with relative ease Monday night. Flacco will bring the Ravens' new up-tempo…read more

Flacco carved the Jacksonville defense Thursday, completing 27-of-36 passes for 266 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Analysis: Flacco certainly looked ready for the regular season Thursday night as the Ravens went no-huddle for much of the evening and that seemed to suit the offense just fine. Flacco will likely sit for the team's preseason finale.

Flacco completed 7-of-12 passes for 79 yards in Friday's preseason loss to Detroit.
Analysis: The numbers don't look impressive, but the Ravens were able to move the ball using the hurry-up offense, and drove 60+ yards on two of the three drives Flacco stayed in for. They only ended up with a pair of field goals, but it was still a pretty solid performance, especially when you take into…read more

The Ravens are using a no-huddle offense frequently in practice and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron said, "I think it's good for us to see if it's a fit," the Ravens' Official Website reports.
Analysis: The Ravens used the no-huddle to start Thursday's preseason game against Atlanta and went three-and-out on all three drives. It sounds like this is more experimentation than a commitment, so it doesn't affect Flacco's fantasy value for the time being. You'll also want to keep in mind that the…read more

Flacco completed 9 out of 12 pass attempts for 88 yards and a touchdown during Thursday's preseason opener against the Falcons.
Analysis: Baltimore's first team offense opened the game with three three-and-outs in a row before putting together an 11-play, 77-yard touchdown drive. The poor start isn't encouraging, but the more concerning news here is that tight end Ed Dickson left the game with a sprained shoulder. While it doesn't…read more

Flacco entering contract year in '12
NFL.com's Michael Fabiano points out that Ravens QB Joe Flacco is entering the final year of his contract with the Baltimore Ravens. The Baltimore Sun reports the Ravens will let Flacco play out the last year of his contract without extending him to a long term deal.
Analysis: The Ravens will stay a run first team as long as Ray Rice is in the backfield. Flacco's performance this year could earn him a big paycheck next season, but he will only be able to work with the plays which are called by coach Harbaugh. History proves Flacco is only dependable as a No. 2 QB on your…read more

The Ravens will meet with Flacco's agent this week to begin negotiations on a long term contract, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Flacco won't be a free agent until after the 2012 season, but the Ravens don't want their franchise quarterback playing with his long-term future uncertain. A deal likely won't get done tomorrow, but don't expect Flacco to be roaming the streets any time soon, either.

Flacco completed 11-of-24 passes for 132 yards with two touchdowns and an interception in Saturday's win over the Browns. He also carried for times for 30 yards.
Analysis: After being sacked five times last week, Flacco went down just once Saturday. He'll almost assuredly face the Bengals next week -- in a game with playoff implications for Baltimore -- without the services of wideout Anquan Boldin.

Flacco finished 23-of-34 for 226 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions Sunday against the Chargers.
Analysis: Considering the protection he received, sacked five times, and the final score, 34-14, Flacco's night ended up about as good as fantasy owners could have hoped. The turnovers are a concern, and when this team is right, they want to be running the football. Flacco has regressed slightly this season,…read more

Flacco went 23-for-31 passing for 227 yards, two touchdowns and an interception during Sunday's win over the Colts.
Analysis: Flacco was very accurate and very efficient in the win, completing 74 percent of his passes. He occasionally comes apart when forced to carry the offense, but when Ray Rice is running hard Flacco can be a very effective game manager.

Flacco went 10-for-23 passing for 158 yards during Sunday's win over the Browns.
Analysis: Flacco didn't have to do much Sunday, with Ray Rice having a career day. You shouldn't worry about his poor completion percentage, the Ravens' wideouts continue to drop too many catchable passes, but Flacco's inconsistent weekly output make him tough to rely on as a fantasy option.

Flacco went 29-for-52 passing for 255 yards, one touchdown and an interception during Sunday's loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: It's almost as if the Ravens forgot Ray Rice was even on the team, going pass-happy against a Seahawks team that should have been outmanned. Flacco didn't benefit much from the gameplan, averaging just 4.9 yards per attempt. His fantasy numbers would be better served with a consistent running game…read more
