Smith agreed to a one-year deal with Tampa Bay on Tuesday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Analysis: Smith caught 14 passes for 131 yards in St. Louis last year, so it seems safe to say that he's mostly a non-factor at this point. He might beat out Kevin Ogletree for the third receiver spot in Tampa, but he won't at all threaten the target counts of Vincent Jackson or Mike Williams.

Smith finished his first year with the Rams having played in just nine games with 14 receptions for 131 yards.
Analysis: Smith was a disappointment to say the least and his return in 2013 is very doubtful. The former Giant was just never able to regain his past elusiveness and spent a significant amount of time this year as a healthy inactive.

Smith is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, the Rams' official Twitter page reports.
Analysis: It looks like another healthy scratch for Smith, who hasn't played since Nov. 11. In seven games this season, the 27-year-old wideout has caught 13 passes for 125 yards and no touchdowns on 22 targets.

Smith is inactive for Thursday night's game against the Cardinals, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: This is the second straight game Smith has been ruled inactive. With five wide receivers active for the Rams, they have no need for Smith.

Smith is inactive for Sunday's game against the Seahawks, according to the Rams' official Twitter page.
Analysis: Smith will trade places with Brian Quick, who will return to duty after being inactive himself last week. Smith is far down the Rams' depth chart, so don't expect him to be a fantasy factor anytime soon.

Smith caught just one pass for 15 yards during the Rams' loss at Chicago on Sunday.
Analysis: Smith continues to disappoint and it looks like all the naysayers who said he was washed up were probably right as he's looked completely overmatched all year and can't seem to get any separation.

Smith caught just one pass for 16 yards during the Rams' season-opening loss to Detroit on Sunday.
Analysis: Smith was targeted three times and played very much like the No. 3 wide receiver he currently is on the club's official depth chart. Brandon Gibson and Danny Amendola appear to be better bets at wide receiver on the Rams, at least early in the season.

Smith was the No. 3 wide receiver on the Rams first official depth chart of the 2012 season.
Analysis: Smith looked to have sewn up the starting job over Brandon Gibson but apparently the coaches felt differently. That being said, we expect a lot of movement on the Rams' wide receiving depth chart this year and because of that only Danny Amendola seems like the surest bet if you are looking to the…read more

Smith led the Rams with 53 yards on two receptions during their preseason win over Baltimore on Thursday night.
Analysis: Smith looks to have sewn up the starting wide receiver job opposite Danny Amendola after his solid performance on Thursday, albeit against Baltimore's second-team defense. The former Pro-Bowler has not wowed anyone this preseason but he certainly looks better than he did last season and could have…read more

Smith was one of the Rams two starting wide receivers in their first preseason game at Indianapolis on Sunday.
Analysis: Smith has been one of the more consistent wide-outs in Ram camp to date and with both Brandon Gibson and Danario Alexander sidelined he got his chance to make a statement. He did get loose down the sideline early in the first quarter but starting quarterback Sam Bradford just flat out missed him on…read more

Smith could be an excellent "sleeper" candidate in 2012 if he has a good preseason, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Smith flew under the radar of most teams because of his mediocre season in Philadelphia. However, he was only one year removed from micro-fracture knee surgery and most athletes that have had that procedure haven't gotten all the way back until Year 2. If Smith is all the way back then there is no…read more

Steven Smith: Opportunity Knocks With Rams
The Rams still think Smith has the potential to be a big-time contributor heading into the 2012 season, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: Smith underwent microfracture knee surgery in December of 2010 and rebounded with a very mediocre 2011 season. However, the majority of the Rams' front office personnel believes it takes at least two years to get fully recovered from the type of surgery that Smith had. The lack of talent in St.…read more

Steven Smith: Joining St. Louis
Smith and the Rams agreed to a one-year deal Monday, St. Louis Post-Dispatch writer Jim Thomas reports.
Analysis: Smith's 2011 season was a waste, as he ended up with just 11 catches for 124 yards. If his knee is fully recovered from the microfracture surgery he underwent early in the 2010-2011 winter -- far from guaranteed given his one-year deal and minimal free agency interest -- Smith could become St.…read more

Steven Smith: Could Go To Rams
Smith is undergoing a physical with the Rams, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Analysis: Smith caught 107 passes for the Giants in 2009, but his last two seasons have been marred by injuries. Assuming his knee -- the main culprit with regards to his balky health -- is in better shape than it has been, Smith could be a nice scoop by a Rams' team re-tooling at wideout.

Smith (knee) finished the 2011 season with 11 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown in nine games.
Analysis: Hardly a steal in free agency, Smith was a complete non-factor in Philadelphia. It's difficult to see Smith returning to Philadelphia, but it could be an option for the team if they'd prefer a cheaper route than DeSean Jackson.

The Eagles have placed Smith (knee) on IR, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Smith, who is evidently dealing with a deep bone bruise, was limited to just 11 catches for 124 yards in nine games with the Eagles. Smith joined the team on a one-year deal, so he'll hit free agency once again this offseason, hopefully with his health re-established by then.

Smith (knee) was unable to play Sunday against the Dolphins because his knee swelled up on the plane to Miami and an MRI later showed a bone bruise, Philly.com reports.
Analysis: Smith has only 11 catches in nine games thus far, and now with his injury and the return of Jeremy Maclin it's all but sure that Smith's role will diminish even more.

Smith only had one catch on Sunday against the Giants, but it went for a 14-yard touchdown.
Analysis: Smith wasn't very involved in the offense, scoring on his only target, but he must have been delighted to strike one into the endzone against his former team. A team suspension of DeSean Jackson last week and an injury to Jeremy Maclin this week have gotten Smith into the lineup, but his fantasy…read more

Smith caught five passes for 47 yards (10 targets) against Arizona on Sunday.
Analysis: It took a DeSean Jackson deactivation and an injury-shortened game for Jeremy Maclin for Smith to reach this level of involvement, and even if Maclin misses time, Smith still isn't especially likely to become a fantasy factor outside of deeper leagues. Depending on what Maclin's status turns out to…read more

Contrary to earlier reports Smith will not be starting in the absence of DeSean Jackson, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Smith will start in place of DeSean Jackson against the Cards on Sunday, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: It's likely that Jason Avant and Riley Cooper will also see extra targets in Jackson's absence Sunday, but Smith's opportunity to start in Week 10 suggests that he's coming along in terms of his understanding of the Eagles' offense.
