Jackson finished the 2012 season with 45 catches for 700 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games.
Analysis: It's the worst season of Jackson's five-year career in terms of aggregate numbers, but that's only because of a rib injury that caused him to miss the final five games of the year. Jackson's per-game production was actually quite decent, as he was on pace for a career high in receptions prior to…read more

DeSean Jackson of Philadelphia Eagles placed on IR
Coach Andy Reid told reporters Tuesday that receiver DeSean Jackson is headed to injured reserve after suffering multiple rib fractures in Monday night's loss to the Carolina Panthers. The Eagles later officially announced the move.
Analysis: This news only serves to remove one more headache from the minds of fantasy owners. Jackson (and his counterpart, Jeremy Maclin) have been incredibly frustrating from a fantasy standpoint this season. None of Jackson's potential replacements are worth targeting at the moment.

DeSean Jackson: (Ribs) On IR/Designated to Return List
Jackson (ribs) was placed on the injured reserve/designated to return list Tuesday, Sirius Radio's Adam Caplan reports.
Analysis: Jackson sustained a rib cartilage injury during Monday's loss to Carolina, taking the field for only one quarter. With just five games remaining in the Eagles' season, though, we'd be surprised if the team risked further harm upon one of their most explosive (and expensive) players.

DeSean Jackson: Headed to Injured Reserve
Jackson (ribs) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane reports.

DeSean Jackson: Remains A Starter
Jackson will start against Seattle on Thursday, Philadelphia Inquirer writer Jeff McLane reports.
Analysis: Jackson was benched late in Sunday's loss to New England, but he'll get a chance to redeem himself Thursday. As bad as Jackson has been lately, it wouldn't surprise if he pulled off some big games to close out the year. He already burned most of his bridges in Philadelphia, and Drew Rosenhaus is…read more

DeSean Jackson: Benched Late In Sunday's Loss
Coach Andy Reid said the benching of Jackson late in Sunday's game against the Patriots was not injury related, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: Reid said he wanted to give other players a chance, which makes sense considering it was a blowout at that point. However, Reid was clearly making a statement by sitting Jackson, who has been a major disappointment in more ways than one this year.

Jackson (foot) is active for Sunday's game against New England.
Analysis: Vince Young will be throwing to him Sunday, but the Patriots' secondary has been quite beatable this season, which presents a good opportunity for Jackson this weekend.

Analysis: Jackson has been up and down all year and will likely have Vince Young throwing to him Sunday, but this might be the best on-paper matchup he'll see in 2011.

Jackson (foot contusion) was spotted at practice Thursday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis: We'll have to see if he is listed as limited or practicing fully, but at this point Jackson's Week 12 status looks more promising than that of teammate Jeremy Maclin, who did not practice Thursday.

DeSean Jackson: Foot Still Swollen
Jackson (foot contusion) did not practice Wednesday, the Eagles' official site reports.
Analysis: Coach Andy Reid noted Wednesday that the swelling in Jackson's foot is coming down, but it's not all the way where it needs to be yet. Assuming things settle down with his foot a bit more, we'd expect Jackson hit the practice field later this week.

DeSean Jackson: Foot Contusion
Jackson suffered a foot contusion early in Sunday's win over the Giants, Wilmington News Journal writer Geoff Mosher reports.
Analysis: In spite of his foot issue, Jackson caught six passes for 88 yards Sunday night and while the injury is certainly worth noting, initially it doesn't sound like the sort of thing that will impact his Week 12 status.

Jackson caught six passes for 88 yards (eight targets) against the Giants on Sunday.
Analysis: The stat line doesn't have his fantasy owners jumping for joy, but it's still a rock-solid showing by Jackson. Not only was he efficient on a per-target basis, but he showed the ability to get open despite the defense singling him out in response to Jeremy Maclin (AC joint/hamstring) missing the…read more

Updating on a previous report, Jackson (knee) was able to return in the second quarter of Sunday night's game, the Eagles official site reports.
Analysis: It looks like Jackson dodged a bullet with his knee, although it is interesting to note that he was not back to return a punt at the start of the Eagles next drive.

DeSean Jackson: Still a Starter Despite Deactivation
Coach Andy Reid said Jackson remains a starter for Philadelphia, Philadelphia Inquirer writer Jeff McLane reports.
Analysis: Jackson didn't deny the possibility that his poor behavior of late was contract-related, so this still looks like a volatile situation for the Eagles, a team thrown into further crisis by injuries to Michael Vick (broken ribs) and Jeremy Maclin (AC joint sprain, hamstring strain).

Jackson is inactive for Sunday's game against Arizona, the Eagles' official Twitter feed reports.
Analysis: He slept through a team meeting Saturday and obviously drew the ire of the coaching staff in the process. It's likely that his punishment will only last one week, but we'll keep an eye on him moving toward Week 11.

Jackson caught two passes for 16 yards Monday against the Bears.
Analysis: With the Bears starting Major Wright and Chris Conte, you would have thought Jackson would have had a field day. Unfortunately, the Eagles' offense was pretty tame, and despite eight targets, Jackson was unable to do much. He now has only eight catches for 93 yards in his past three games, though…read more
