Analysis: The Texans took a step back this season for fantasy purposes, as they rank 21st with just 12 takeaways and 23rd with 23.6 points allowed per game. They will face their old quarterback in Week 13 as QB Deshaun Watson start after having his 11-game suspension lifted. Watson was an elite quarterback prior to his suspension, and he'll have plenty of weapons. But there could be some rust that could yield fantasy dividends for Houston D/ST. Season-long managers shouldn't take the risk, though.

The Texans didn't record a sack or a takeaway in the 23-10 loss to the Commanders in Week 11.

Analysis: The Texans have upside in select circumstances with 22 sacks (18th) and 11 takeaways (21st), but there's far too much risk in Week 12 versus the Dolphins. Through 10 games, the Dolphins have posted 25.2 points per game (sixth) while giving up just 10 turnovers (sixth). Furthermore, QB Tua Tagovailoa has been sacked just eight times in eight games. Texans D/ST are off limits in all season-long leagues.

Analysis: The Texans have produced modest fantasy numbers with 22 sacks (17th) and 11 takeaways (18th) while giving up 23 points per game (20th). Nevertheless, they will have some upside, especially in DFS, against the Commanders in Week 11. The Commanders have averaged just 19.1 points per game (24th). QB Taylor Heinicke will start for the Commanders, too, and he has been sacked nine times through four starts while posting a 5:4 TD:INT ratio.

There could be a steady floor, however, because the Giants have averaged just 20.4 points per game (22nd).

CB Bradley Roby (suspension) won't play in the season opener against the Jaguars.

Analysis: Roby is considered the team's top cornerback, so it'll be tough to overcome his absence with a putrid pass rush and a questionable secondary. Rookie QB Trevor Lawrence is as close to a sure thing as there is, and he'll have plenty of high-end pass catchers at his disposal, including WRs D.J. Chark and Laviska Shenault. This matchup has shootout potential with limited upside, so fantasy managers should stay away.

The Texans should be left off fantasy radars for the 2021 season.

Analysis: The Texans' pass rush was solid in 2020 with 34 sacks. J.J. Watt is in Arizona now, and while he's an irreplaceable asset, the Texans brought in Jordan Jenkins -- who posted 24.5 sacks over his first five seasons -- to help patch up the pass rush. This won't be enough to cover up a brutal secondary, so fantasy managers should stay away from this once highly-regarded defense.
