Snags first interception
Vigil recorded four tackles (two) solo and his first interception of the season in Sunday's loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Vigil returned his interception 34 yards before being tackled at midfield. It was his second turnover on the year, as he also has one forced fumble. The 26-year-old was one of three Bengals to play all 56 defensive snaps. He will look to continue as a consistent force on defense when the team welcomes the Patriots in Week 15.

Suiting up Week 13
Vigil (ankle) is active for Sunday's Week 13 tilt against the Jets, Marisa Contipelli of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The veteran linebacker was able to work back to a limited practice Friday and is now set to officially take the field in his usual capacity versus New York. Vigil boasts a career-high 89 tackles, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries through his first 11 games.

Questionable for Week 13
Vigil (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Vigil started the week not practicing but put in a limited session Friday and is now expected to play, according to Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site. Jordan Evans is listed as the next man up at strongside linebacker should Vigil ultimately be inactive.

Misses another practice
Vigil (ankle) is not practicing Thursday, Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil hasn't practiced in any capacity this week. He'll have one more opportunity to up his activity prior to Sunday's tilt against the Jets, but the starting linebacker currently appears to be trending toward missing Week 13.

Nursing ankle issue
Vigil did not participate in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Vigil appears to have sustained an ankle injury during Week 12's loss to the Steelers, during which he recorded seven tackles (four solo). If he were forced to miss any time, Jordan Evans (hamstring) and LaRoy Reynolds would be candidates to play expanded roles on defense.

Double-digit tackles
Vigil racked up 12 tackles during Sunday's 17-10 loss to Oakland.
Analysis: He continues to be a liability in both run and pass coverage, but Vigil at least has some upside in the tackle department. This is the fourth time this season he's registered at least 11 tackles in a game and the fourth-year linebacker will look to keep it going in Week 12 against the Steelers.

First sack of season
Vigil recorded four tackles and a sack across 44 defensive snaps in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: The veteran linebacker rarely reaches the quarterback, as Sunday's sack was his first since the 2017 season and just the second of his career. Vigil has played in 94 percent of the team's defensive snaps this season, a figure which leads the Bengals' linebacking corps.

Stellar in loss
Vigil racked up 13 tackles (10 solo) and recovered a fumble in Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Vigil was in the right place at the right time when tight end Mark Andrews tried to hurdle a defender and the ball ended up in the hands of Vigil. The 26-year-old recorded double-digit tackles for the third consecutive game, moving his season total to 51 in six games. Playing 91 percent of his team's defensive snaps during Week 6, Vigil will draw a solid matchup with a stagnant Jaguars offense in Week 7.

Sheds injury tag
Vigil (ankle) is not listed on Friday's injury report, Tyler Dragon of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil was a full participant in Friday's practice and appears to have put his ankle injury behind him. He's on track for his usual starting role in Cincinnati's linebacker corps against Baltimore.

Paces team in tackles yet again
Vigil finished Sunday's 26-23 loss to Arizona with a team-high 13 tackles.
Analysis: Unfortunately, Vigil's performance went to waste and his team now owns an 0-5 record to begin the 2019 season. However, despite Cincinnati's bleak outlook, Vigil's tackling proficiency certainly makes him relevant in IDP formats, but limited production in other areas remains a cause for concern.

Leads team in tackles Monday
Vigil recorded 11 tackles (eight solo) and a forced fumble in Monday's loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: The Bengals defense didn't perform well against Mason Rudolph and the rival Steelers, but Vigil was still able to make his presence felt on the field. He led the defense in tackles and forced a fumble early in the first quarter, which led to Cincinnati's only score of the night.

Tackling machine in season finale
Vigil piled up 17 tackles against the Steelers in the Bengals' Week 17 loss. This was his best game since his midseason knee injury, Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil's absence was severely felt in the middle of the season when he missed four full games and most of the home loss to Pittsburgh in Week 6, when the season started to turn downhill. He was the Bengals' top linebacker and leading tackler at the time of his injury, and only recently has he started to feel that he was at full strength.

Set for Week 14 return
Vigil (knee) won't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against Denver, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Vigil was able to return to practice this week after missing the last five games with a sprained MCL, and he's healthy enough to avoid Friday's injury report. The 25-year-old should return to his starting role at linebacker, where he accrued 51 tackles (41 solo) prior to suffering the injury Week 6.

Back at practice
Vigil (knee) participated in Wednesday's practice, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil returned to practice for the first time since suffering a sprained MCL on Oct. 14. The 2016 third-round pick has missed five straight games due to the injury, and now appears to be nearing a full recovery. It remains to be seen whether Vigil will suit up against the Broncos on Sunday, but when he does retake the field, he'll return to his starting role.

Vigil (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Browns, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.

Will miss Week 11
Vigil (knee) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Ravens, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Skips practice Wednesday
Vigil (knee) did not take part in practice Wednesday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil has missed each of the last three games because of his knee injury, so his absence from practice shouldn't come as a major shock. However, it does put him on a path toward missing out again if he's unable to rejoin practice in the next couple of days.

Out Week 10
Vigil (knee) was ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Vigil continues his recovery from the sprained MCL sustained Week 6 against the Steelers and did not practice this week. Vincent Rey and Jordan Evans should both see increased snap counts with fellow starting linebacker Vontaze Burfict (hip) also ruled out.

Absent from practice Wednesday
Vigil (knee) was a non-participant in Wednesday's practice, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: Vigil continues to nurse a sprained MCL suffered during a Week 6 loss to the Steelers. The third-year linebacker seems to be a long shot for Sunday's tilt against the Saints, and should be considered questionable. If Vigil remains sidelined for any amount of time, Vincent Rey is expected to slot into Cincinnati's starting lineup.
