Makes both attempts in loss
Ficken made both of his field-goal attempts in Sunday's 22-6 loss to the Bengals.
Analysis: While New York's offense laid an egg after scoring 34 points in each of the previous three games, Ficken delivered a serviceable performance with makes from 42 and 39 yards. Anybody who streamed Ficken for this one can consider keeping him in the lineup against the Dolphins in Week 14, but the Jets are among the league's least reliable offenses in terms of providing their kicker consistent opportunities.

Plenty of opportunities in blowout
Ficken went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 4-for-4 on PAT attempts in Sunday's 34-3 win over the Raiders.
Analysis: Ficken connected from 24 and 35 yards out before missing from 48. He's seen a noticeable uptick in opportunities recently with New York's offense coming alive, and that trend should continue in Week 13 against the 0-11 Bengals.

Another miss in win
Ficken missed his lone field-goal attempt from 49 yards out and converted four of five PAT attempts in Sunday's 34-17 win over the Redskins.
Analysis: Ficken is just 7-for-11 on field-goal attempts this season. New York's offense has picked things up of late, but it remains difficult to trust the team's kicker.

Mixed bag from deep
Ficken made two of three field-goal attempts and all four of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 34-27 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Ficken recovered from a miss for the second straight game, as he failed to connect from 54 yards out late in the first half but bounced back with makes from 53 and 35 yards after the break. The Jets remain in the underbelly of their schedule, as they'll take on another bottom-feeder in Washington next week.

Bounces back from early miss
Ficken connected on three of four field-goal attempts and made his lone PAT in Sunday's 26-18 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Ficken missed from 49 yards out on his first field-goal attempt, swinging momentum Miami's way as New York failed to grab a commanding 10-0 lead early. To his credit, the kicker bounced back with makes from 52, 40 and 29 yards out. The struggling Jets offense has another favorable matchup on tap against the Giants in Week 10, so owners who streamed Ficken in Miami could consider extending his leash by another week.

No FG attempts again
Ficken didn't attempt a field goal but made his lone PAT attempt in Sunday's 29-15 loss to Jacksonville.
Analysis: New York's offense didn't get in scoring position much, but the Jets were able to walk away with a pair of touchdowns when they did. Trailing 22-7 at the time of their second score, the Jets opted to go for two in order to pull within seven points, limiting Ficken to just one PAT. Ficken has seen laughably little volume this season, but that could change in Week 9 against the Dolphins.

Blanked due to Darnold's mistakes
Ficken didn't attempt a kick in Monday's 33-0 loss to New England.
Analysis: The Jets worked their way into field-goal range three times, but Sam Darnold threw a pair of red-zone interceptions and a fourth-down incompletion to end those three possessions. This was probably the worst performance of Darnold's entire life, so New York's offense -- and by extension Ficken -- has nowhere to go but up from here.

Busier in Darnold's return
Ficken made his lone field-goal attempt from 38 yards out and converted all three of his PAT attempts in Sunday's 24-22 win over Dallas.
Analysis: Ficken was much busier in quarterback Sam Darnold's return from mononucleosis, and that should remain the case moving forward, as Darnold guided the offense well and topped 300 passing yards. While Ficken's long-term outlook for the season is heading in the right direction, he could struggle in Week 7 against the stingy Patriots.

Misses lone FG attempt
Ficken missed his lone field-goal attempt from 55 yards in Sunday's 31-6 loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: The long miss was Ficken's only kick, as the Jets went for two after their lone touchdown and failed. He should get more opportunities when starting quarterback Sam Darnold returns from mononucleosis.

Not getting many chances
Ficken didn't attempt a field goal but converted both PAT attempts in Sunday's 30-14 loss to the Patriots.
Analysis: Ficken hasn't had many opportunities, but he's perfect through two games with the Jets. He should see more volume once starting quarterback Sam Darnold returns from mononucleosis.

Converts lone kick in Jets debut
Ficken made his lone field-goal try from 46 yards out in Monday's 23-3 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Kickin' Ficken was one of the few bright spots for the Jets in this blowout loss that saw backup quarterback Trevor Siemian -- who was filling in for Sam Darnold (mononucleosis) -- lost for the season due to an ankle injury. New York's offense is unlikely to put up many points until Darnold returns, but at least the team seems to have found some kicking stability with Ficken, after two separate kickers were released in camp, and Week 1 starter Kaare Vedvik missed all of his attempts in the…read more

Officially joins Jets
Ficken signed a contract Tuesday with the Jets, Ethan Greenberg of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The Jets wasted little time to add Ficken to the 53-man roster after he emerged as the victor in the five-man kicker audition New York staged Tuesday. He'll replace incumbent Vedvik, who was waived just two days after missing a 45-yard field goal and an extra-point attempt Sunday in the Jets' 17-16 loss to the Bills. Ficken has previously appeared in four games across the past two seasons with the Rams, converting three of six field-goal tries and 14 of 15 point-after attempts.

Likely to join Jets
The Jets are expected to sign Ficken to a contract following his workout with the team Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Ficken came up short in his battle for the Packers' kicking job during the preseason, but he was apparently the most impressive of the five kickers the Jets auditioned Tuesday, per Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News. The Jets' impending signing of Ficken likely signals that Kaare Vedvik's time on the 53-man roster is over after the 25-year-old misfired on an extra-point attempt and a 45-yard field goal Sunday in the Jets' one-point loss to the Bills.

Fails to win kicking job
Ficken was cut by the Packers on Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL.com reports.
Analysis: Ficken had been in a battle with veteran Mason Crosby throughout the preseason, with Ficken unable to win the job. Perhaps the Penn State product was limited in his opportunities, as he made all three of his extra-point tries and his lone field-goal attempt during the preseason. He'll likely be given opportunities elsewhere, at the very least in terms of tryouts.

Opportunities limited
Ficken made the lone extra point he attempted in Thursday's preseason loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Ficken has not missed a kick during the exhibition season, making all three extra points and his lone field-goal attempt. He remains alive in the race to secure the Packers' kicking job, but he presumably remains behind incumbent Mason Crosby, and his chances to impress have been limited with the Packers attempting only two field goals through three preseason games. Ficken will have one more shot to show what he can do in next week's exhibition finale, but it seems unlikely much will change.…read more

Hits only attempt Thursday
Ficken made a 41-yard field goal in Thursday's preseason loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Ficken's attempt just snuck through the uprights, but it still counted for as many points as the field goal fellow kicker Mason Crosby made from 43 yards out. Crosby took and made the Packers' only extra-point attempt on the night, but for the second week in a row, neither player missed a kick. Both Ficken and Crosby remain alive in the competition to open the season as the Packers' kicker, and while Ficken can't come close to matching Crosby's experience, he would provide the team a far…read more

Competing against Crosby
Ficken went 2-for-2 on extra points in Thursday's exhibition opener.
Analysis: Ficken is competing against Mason Crosby for the Packers' kicker job, and both players had equal stat lines Thursday, making both extra-points they attempted while not seeing any field-goal opportunities. Ficken will presumably have to beat out the veteran Crosby for the job, but he remains in the mix with three preseason games to go.

Gets chance with Packers
The Packers claimed Ficken off waivers Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Ficken had a three-month audition with the Seahawks, but the team opted to go with Jason Myers to begin their offseason program. Upon his arrival in Green Bay, Ficken will compete with long-time kicker Mason Crosby, who missed 11 total field-goal tries the last two seasons. Meanwhile, Ficken has just four appearances on his resume with the Rams, making three of six field-goal attempts and 14 of 15 point-after tries.

Cut loose by Seahawks
The Seahawks waived Ficken on Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: With this transaction, the Seahawks will enter the offseason program next week with just one kicker (Jason Myers) under contract. Ficken himself has spent time with four different organizations but only made regular-season appearances for one of them. In four games the last two years for the Rams, he was successful on three of six field-goal attempts and 14 of 15 point-after tries.

Inks deal with Seattle
The Seahawks signed Ficken to a reserve/future contract on Friday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Ficken was waived by the Rams in early October after missing two of three field-goal attempts as a temporary starter for the team, and he'll now compete for a role with the Seahawks. Incumbent starter and 40-year-old veteran Sebastian Janikowski is set to become a free agent this offseason.
