Back to practice squad
Agnew reverted to the Steelers' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: Agnew was elevated to the Steelers' 53-man roster for Saturday's AFC wild-card game against the Ravens but was inactive for the contest. Agnew signed to the Steelers' practice squad Nov. 12 after fully recovering from a lower-leg injury that he suffered at the end of the 2023 regular season. The 2017 fifth-round pick will look to join a team in the offseason that is in need of depth at wide receiver and a return specialist for kickoffs and punts.

Not playing Saturday
Agnew (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's wild-card game against Baltimore, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Analysis: Agnew and Scotty Miller were elevated from the Steelers' practice squad to the active roster earlier Saturday, but neither of them will be active for the contest. Agnew has not played in a game for Pittsburgh since being signed to its practice squad Nov. 12.

Elevated ahead of wild-card contest
Pittsburgh elevated Agnew from its practice squad to its active roster Saturday, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports.
Analysis: Agnew signed with the Steelers' practice squad in mid-November, and this is his first elevation of the season. The veteran wideout played in 11 games with Jacksonville last year, tallying 14 catches on 21 targets for 225 yards and a touchdown while losing two yards on four carries. Pittsburgh's wideout corps is relatively healthy, so Agnew isn't likely to see many opportunities Saturday in the wild-card matchup versus Baltimore.

Shifts to IR
Agnew (lower leg) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Analysis: This move comes as no surprise considering Agnew suffered a fracture in his lower leg in the second quarter of the Jaguars' Week 17 win over the Panthers. The 28-year-old wideout finishes his 2023 regular-season campaign with 14 catches for 225 yards and one touchdown. Additionally, Agnew returned 15 kicks and 14 punts for for 535 total yards, averaging just over 28 yards per return. Diagnosed with lower-leg fracture
Agnew suffered a lower-leg fracture in Sunday's win over Carolina and is out for the remainder of the season, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Analysis: Agnew was hurt in the second quarter of Sunday's contest and was initially deemed questionable to return. Upon further examination, he was diagnosed with a broken left leg that will keep him out for the remainder of the campaign. Agnew finishes the season with 14 catches (on 21 targets) for 225 yards and one touchdown along with four rushes for minus-2 yards. Won't return vs. Panthers
Agnew (ankle) is out for the rest of Sunday's game versus the Panthers.
Analysis: Agnew exited late in the second quarter of Sunday's contest due to an ankle injury that was apparently severe enough to keep him out for the rest of the day. Tim Jones will probably see an increased workload in Agnew's absence.

Questionable to return Week 17
Agnew hurt his ankle in the first half of Sunday's game against Carolina and is questionable to return, Demetrius Harvey of The Florida Times-Union reports.
Analysis: Agnew was hurt after being tackled on a 48-yard reception late in the second quarter. He limped off the field with trainers and immediately headed into the medical tent. If Agnew is unable to return to the matchup, the Jaguars would need to replace him not only on offense but also on special teams, as he's been working as the team's primary kick and punt returner.

Cashes in long touchdown
Agnew caught both of his targets for 70 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 23-7 loss to the Ravens. He also returned three kickoffs for 91 yards and one punt for 17 yards.
Analysis: The veteran return man played just 10 offensive snaps but sparked the unit with a 65-yard touchdown in the third quarter for Jacksonville's lone score of the evening. Agnew missed the previous four games with a shoulder injury. He hasn't played a significant offensive role this season, but that could change down the stretch with Christian Kirk (groin) on injured reserve and Zay Jones (hamstring) again banged up.

Activated off IR
Agnew (shoulder) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Prior to the Week 10 shoulder injury, Agnew had quietly been an offensive factor for Jacksonville with two games of four-plus receptions and at least 18 offensive snaps in each of the three prior games. With Christian Kirk (groin) likely out for the rest of the regular season, Agnew, who remains questionable for Sunday's contest against the Ravens, could compete for WR snaps behind Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones, though over the Jaguars' last two games, it's worth noting that rookie Parker…read more

Cleared to practice
Agnew (shoulder) was designated for return from injured reserve Wednesday.
Analysis: Agnew has spent the minimum of four weeks on IR and could return to action as soon as Sunday against the Ravens. However, the Jaguars will have a 21-day window to evaluate him in practice before he would need to be added to the 53-man roster or left on IR for the remainder of the season.

Lands on IR
Jacksonville placed Agnew (shoulder) on injured reserve Saturday.
Analysis: Agnew hurt his shoulder in this past Sunday's loss to San Francisco, and his move to IR means he'll need to sit out at least four games. The veteran wideout has worked as the Jaguars' primary kick and punt returner this season while also tallying nine catches on 12 targets for 90 yards as a receiver. Parker Washington (knee) was activated from IR in a corresponding move and could take Washington's place as both a return man and depth wideout.

Won't play Sunday
Agnew (shoulder) will not play Sunday against the Titans, according to head coach Doug Pederson, John Shipley of SI.com reports.
Analysis: Agnew was previously considered a long shot to play this week after suffering the injury in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, so this news isn't necessarily surprising. Pederson added that the 28-year-old could miss time beyond this week as well. With Parker Washington (knee) designated to return from IR and potentially suiting up Sunday, he'd likely be in line to take on return duties against Tennessee.

Could miss time
Agnew may be a long shot to play Sunday against the Titans after he suffered a shoulder injury in a Week 10 loss to the 49ers, Juston W. Lewis reports.
Analysis: Agnew should still be considered questionable for Week 11 after head coach Doug Pederson added that the team will see how he progresses throughout the week. The 28-year-old's potential absence on offense would likely have minimal impact, especially if Zay Jones (knee) were to return; however, the team would need to turn to Christian Kirk or D'Ernest Johnson for return duties on special teams.

Hurts shoulder Sunday
Agnew was forced out of Sunday's game against the 49ers with a shoulder injury.

No targets in win
Agnew didn't receive a target, returned one kickoff for 27 yards and three punts for 34 yards during Sunday's 20-10 win against the Steelers.
Analysis: The veteran return man had four catches for 36 yards last week but wasn't involved in the passing game Sunday despite the continued absence of Zay Jones (knee). Agnew played just 20 offensive snaps compared to Tim Jones' 25, but neither wideout received a target from quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Four catches in win
Agnew caught four of six targets for 36 yards and rushed once for minus-1 yard during Thursday's 31-24 win over the Saints. He also returned one punt for nine yards.
Analysis: The 28-year-old played 51 percent of Jacksonville's offensive snaps with Zay Jones (knee) inactive and finished third on the team in receptions and receiving yards. Agnew has catches in just three of six games this season, but he has four receptions in two of those three contests.

No targets in win
Agnew received no targets, returned one kickoff for 53 yards and returned one punt for six yards during Sunday's 37-20 win against the Colts.
Analysis: The 28-year-old played 20 offensive snaps as Jacksonville's No. 3 wideout with Zay Jones (knee) unavailable but went without a target for the second straight game. Agnew caught four passes for 49 yards in Week 3, but in four other games this season he has just one reception for five yards and three carries for minus-1 yard.

Set to play in London
Agnew (quadricep) is active for Sunday's game against the Bills in London.
Analysis: The quad injury kept Agnew from playing in the Jaguars' first game in London in Week 4 versus Atlanta, but he'll be back in action Sunday after turning in a trio of limited practices this week. In addition to Agnew, the Jaguars are getting Zay Jones (knee) back from a two-game absence, so the team's receiving corps will have all of its key contributors available Sunday. Agnew will likely serve as Jacksonville's No. 4 wideout and top return man.

Questionable for Week 5
Agnew (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Analysis: Agnew logged another limited practice Friday, marking his third consecutive limited session coming off a Week 4 absence. Zay Jones (knee) also is listed as questionable after three consecutive capped practices. If Agnew suits up and Jones doesn't, the return man also could play a significant role on offense as Jacksonville's No. 3 wide receiver, but those relying on Agnew in fantasy will need to wake up early to check his status, as Sunday's game kicks off at 9:30 a.m. ET from London.

Agnew (quad) remained limited in Thursday's practice, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: Agnew missed last week's London date against the Falcons but is progressing and could play in the second leg of Jacksonville's London swing this Sunday against Buffalo. Sitting out Week 4
Agnew (quadricep) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons in London.
Analysis: Agnew was viewed as a game-time call after finishing Week 4 prep with a pair of limited practice sessions, but he ultimately didn't make enough progress in his recovery from the quad injury to suit up Sunday. With both Agnew and Zay Jones (knee) sitting out this weekend, Tim Jones is expected to step in as the Jaguars' No. 3 wideout behind Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk.

Considered game-time call
Coach Doug Pederson said Friday that Agnew (quadriceps) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against Atlanta in London, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: While the Jaguars want to wait and see how Agnew feels ahead of kickoff, Pederson said he's optimistic the speedster will play. If Agnew is available, he could see increased snaps on offense for a second straight week due to Zay Jones (knee) being ruled out again. Agnew secured four of five targets for 49 yards during last week's loss to the Texans, temporarily putting him on the map as a deep-league option and cheap DFS play ahead of the 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.

Limited Thursday
Agnew (quad) was limited in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Agnew was added to the injury report Thursday after not being included on it Wednesday, so his situation is worth monitoring headed into Friday and the weekend. The Jaguars take on the Falcons in Week 4. On 32 percent of the team's offensive snaps, Agnew has five catches for 54 yards on six targets and has rushed twice for minus-two yards. He has also returned four punts for 63 yards.

Totals 49 receiving yards
Agnew caught four of five targets for 49 yards, returned three kickoffs for 72 yards and lost a fumble during Sunday's 37-17 loss to Houston.
Analysis: The 28-year-old played 55 percent of Jacksonville's offensive snaps with Zay Jones (knee) sidelined and operated as the team's No. 3 wideout. Agnew had just one reception in the first two games of the season, and he'll likely return to that lesser role in the offense if Jones is available Week 4.

One catch versus KC
Agnew caught his lone target for five yards and returned two punts for five yards during Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: The veteran return man played 24 offensive snaps with Zay Jones leaving the game due a knee issue, but Jones eventually returned while Agnew was unable to take advantage of the absence. Agnew is likely to continue working as the Jags' No. 4 wideout as long as Jones, Christian Kirk and Calvin Ridley are available.

Two carries Week 1
Agnew had two carries for minus-2 yards, returned one kickoff for 20 yards and returned two punts for 58 yards during Sunday's 31-21 win against the Colts.
Analysis: The 28-year-old played just five offensive snaps as Christian Kirk, Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones dominated the playing time among Jacksonville's wideouts. Agnew delivered a 48-yard punt return during the fourth quarter to help set up a Jaguars touchdown, but he's unlikely to have much of an offensive role beyond gadget plays while the aforementioned trio remains healthy.

Loses fumble in playoff loss
Agnew caught two of three targets for five yards, rushed once for two yards, returned three kickoffs for 131 yards and returned three punts for 23 yards during Saturday's 27-20 AFC divisional round loss to the Chiefs. He also lost a fumble.
Analysis: The 27-year-old had a 63-yard kick return during the first quarter and also lost a fumble on a short reception during the third quarter. Jacksonville's revamped receiving corps this year meant Agnew had an infrequent role in the offense, and he never played more than 17 offensive snaps in any contest. Analysis: Agnew played just seven offensive snaps Saturday and caught exactly one pass for the third consecutive contest. The 27-year-old has worked as a gadget player in Jacksonville's offense this year and has 23 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns plus 12 carries for 86 yards. Agnew caught two of three targets for 12 yards, rushed three times for 52 yards and returned one punt for 13 yards during Sunday's 40-34 overtime win against Dallas.
Analysis: Agnew found plenty of running room on the jet sweep in this one with carries of 30 and 18 yards. The 27-year-old played only 10 offensive snaps and hasn't played more than 17 in a game this season, but he continues to be involved during his brief time on the field.

Agnew failed to catch his lone target, had one carry for three yards and returned two kickoffs for 46 yards during Sunday's 40-14 loss to Detroit.

Agnew caught all five of his targets for 37 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 28-27 win over the Ravens.
Analysis: The 27-year-old played only 15 offensive snaps, but he was on the same page with Trevor Lawrence on Sunday and caught a season-high five passes. If Agnew misses a third straight game, Christian Kirk will likely continue returning punts, while JaMycal Hasty and Chris Claybrooks share kick-return duties. Sidelined Sunday
Agnew (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Agnew was unable to practice this week due to his knee injury and will be unavailable for at least one game. Christian Kirk will likely return punts Sunday, while Chris Claybrooks is a strong candidate to serve as the team's kick returner.

No practice Wednesday
Agnew (knee) didn't practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Analysis: According to Mia O'Brien of 1010 XL 92.5 FM Jacksonville, Agnew wasn't able to take part in team drills after exiting Jacksonville's Week 6 loss to the Colts early due to a knee injury, but he was present for Wednesday's practice session and was working out off to the side. While the wideout appears to have avoided a significant injury, he'll still be in danger of missing Week 7 if he doesn't return to practice in at least a limited fashion Thursday.

Agnew was forced out of Sunday's game against the Colts with a knee injury.

Likely to step into starting role
Agnew is expected to serve as one of the Jaguars' top three receivers Sunday against the Colts with Marvin Jones (hamstring) inactive for the contest, Adam Stites of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Both Christian Kirk and Zay Jones are expected to remain firmly ahead of Agnew in the pecking order at receiver, but Marvin Jones' absence at least opens up more work for Agnew, who tied his season low by playing just five offensive snaps in last week's loss to the Texans. While Zay Jones was sidelined with an ankle injury Week 4, Agnew served as Jacksonville's third receiver for the team's loss to Philadelphia and finished with four receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns on six targets.…read more

Catches two TDs in loss
Agnew caught four of six targets for 50 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 29-21 loss to Philadelphia. He also returned three kickoffs for 70 yards and two punts for eight yards.
Analysis: The 27-year-old played 18 of 47 offensive snaps with Zay Jones (ankle) inactive and took full advantage of his opportunities Sunday. Agnew scored the only two offensive touchdowns of the day for the Jaguars, and he also led the team in receptions and finished second to only Christian Kirk in targets and yards. Tim Jones actually played more offensive snaps (26) but was targeted only once, as Agnew clearly is the more trusted option among Jacksonville's depth wideouts.

Sticking in minor role
Agnew caught his lone target for 17 yards and returned three punts for 18 yards during Sunday's 38-10 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: The 27-year-old played 12 offensive snaps in the blowout victory and once again operated as Jacksonville's No. 4 wideout. Agnew should remain in that role, in addition to handling return duties, heading into a Week 4 matchup with the Eagles.

Agnew had two carries for one yard, failed to catch his lone target and returned two punts for seven yards during Sunday's 24-0 win against the Colts.

Two touches on offense
Agnew rushed once for six yards, caught his lone target for six yards and returned one punt for two yards during Sunday's 28-22 loss at Washington.
Analysis: Between five kickoffs and three punts, the 27-year-old received only one opportunity in the return game, though he did garner a couple touches from scrimmage. Agnew finished fourth among Jacksonville's wideouts with seven offensive snaps, and he's unlikely to have much of a role beyond the return game while Christian Kirk, Marvin Jones and Zay Jones remain healthy.

Analysis: Agnew has been limited in camp after suffering a season-ending hip injury in Week 11 last season, which required surgery. Recovery proceeding well
Agnew (hip) said last week on the Jag Roar Podcast that he's "feeling good" and is "probably a little bit ahead" of schedule in his recovery, Isaac Edelman of FLTeams.com reports.
Analysis: Agnew only appeared in 10 games with the Jaguars in 2021 before suffering a season-ending hip injury. Though Agnew officially was placed on injured reserve with the hip issue, he said he's spent the offseason recovering from a calf strain. The arrivals of Christian Kirk and Zay Jones could push Agnew further down the depth chart during the 2022 campaign, but he at the very minimum should contribute in the return game and as a rotational option out of the slot.

Slated to miss remainder of season
Agnew (hip) is expected to miss the remainder of the season after he was placed on injured reserve Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Agnew showed promise during his first season with the Jaguars, particularly after DJ Chark (ankle) went down. Across 10 games, the 2017 fifth-rounder hauled in 24 of 39 targets for 229 yards and a touchdown while rushing seven times for 111 yards and a touchdown. Agnew will now shift his focus toward preparing for 2022, but he could see less work if Chark is back to full health in time for the start of the season.

Agnew rushed three times for 79 yards and a touchdown, failed to bring in any of his five targets, returned four punts for 30 yards and ran back five kickoffs for 101 yards in the Jaguars' 23-17 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
Analysis: It was a busy afternoon for the versatile Agnew to say the least, with the 26-year-old scoring on a 66-yard touchdown scamper late in the first quarter and seeing a solid amount of targets that went for naught largely due to Trevor Lawrence's accuracy issues. Agnew has seemingly surpassed Laviska Shenault as the Jaguars' jack of all trades, as before Sunday's catch-less effort he'd recorded between three and six catches in four consecutive games. Makes three catches
Agnew caught three passes for 27 yards on five targets against Buffalo on Sunday.
Analysis: It's a weak box score for Agnew, though it's fair to wonder if there was much he could control in a game where the Jacksonville passing game struggled profoundly against a strong Buffalo defense. Assuming the Jaguars make no personnel changes, Agnew appears poised to serve as Jacksonville's main slot receiver the rest of the year. Scores in garbage time
Agnew caught six receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown on 12 targets against Seattle on Sunday.
Analysis: The garbage-time touchdown made Agnew useful for fantasy investors in the 31-7 loss, but six catches for 38 yards on 12 targets is dreadfully inefficient and casts a cloud over the otherwise encouraging target volume. Agnew has been busy in Jacksonville's offense since DJ Chark's season-ending injury, which led to Laviska Shenault shifting to the outside and allowed Agnew to take over in the slot. Racks up 78 yards
Agnew recorded five receptions on six targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over Miami.
Analysis: Agnew continued to benefit from the absence of DJ Chark (ankle), as he has seen six targets in each of the two full games since Chark has been sidelined. Agnew served as a big-play threat for the Jaguars, logging receptions of 29, 24, and 14 yards. The 26-year-old also tied for the team lead with eight targets, as top wide receivers Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault were apparent afterthoughts in the passing game. Totals 38 scrimmage yards
Agnew had one carry for 11 yards, caught his lone target for 27 yards and returned one kickoff for 27 yards during Thursday's 24-21 loss to Cincinnati.
Analysis: Agnew actually saw his fewest offensive snaps of the season (eight) despite DJ Chark's early exit due to a broken ankle, but he ended up receiving his first two touches of the season. The 26-year-old is unlikely to benefit much from Chark's absence and should continue to primarily operate as Jacksonville's return specialist, as he already has two return touchdowns this season.

Agnew returned Matt Prater's 66-yard field-goal attempt 109 yards for a touchdown at the end of the first half during Sunday's 31-19 loss to the Cardinals. He also added 28 returns yards on kickoffs and punts.

Analysis: The 2017 All-Pro special teamer was at it again Week 14, establishing a new season best with his 71-yard kickoff return in the fourth quarter Sunday. Agnew's production as a punt-return specialist has undeniably dropped since his breakout 2017 campaign that consisted of 15.4 yards per attempt and two touchdowns. Analysis: Agnew again saw minimal playing time despite the continued absence of Kenny Golladay (hamstring). After transitioning to wide receiver from cornerback this offseason, he clearly remains a work in progress from an offensive standpoint. Agnew is listed as a running back and a wide receiver on the Lions' initial 53-man roster.
Analysis: The Lions initially used Agnew at cornerback for the first couple years of his professional career, but they switched him to offense this offseason and the team apparently likes what he can do with the ball in his hands, which isn't really a surprise given Agnew's proficiency as a return man.
