Out for Thursday at Dallas
Armah (hamstring) is listed as out for Thursday's game at the Cowboys.
Analysis: Armah will sit out his second straight game in Week 12 as he nurses a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 10 at Seattle. The Commanders gave 2021 fourth-round tight end John Bates a season-high 44 offensive snaps in Week 11 with Armah out, suggesting Bates might be the prime beneficiary of Armah's absence in terms of playing time.

Won't play vs. Giants
Armah (hamstring) is listed as out for Sunday's game versus the Giants, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
Analysis: Armah will be sidelined for his seventh game of the season in Week 11, this time due to a hamstring injury he sustained in Week 10 at Seattle. If Washington runs out any sets that require a fullback Sunday, it could opt to use 2021 fourth-round tight end John Bates as a lead blocker instead.

Exits game with leg injury
Armah is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Seahawks after sustaining a hamstring injury, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Armah has primarily played on special teams and as a lead blocker on offense this season. The Commanders' run game will take a hit if Armah is unable to return to Sunday's game.

Staying in Washington
Armah signed with the Commanders' practice squad Friday.
Analysis: The veteran has agreed to be a part of Washington's practice squad after being released by the team Tuesday. Armah has also had stints with Carolina and New Orleans across his six-year career, recording 86 yards from scrimmage throughout 70 total appearances.

Cut by Commanders
Armah is slated to be released by Washington on Tuesday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Armah is a strong candidate to re-sign with the Commanders again prior to the start of the regular season, per Standig. He's logged five total appearances with the team across the past two seasons, mostly contributing on special teams in those contests.

Lands deal
Armah signed a reserve/future contract with the Commanders on Tuesday.
Analysis: Armah has appeared in five games with the Commanders over the last two seasons, mostly contributing on special teams when he's suited up. The 28-year-old had a consistent role with the Panthers from 2018-2020, but he's failed to gain a similar role since. He'll get another chance to earn one in Washington next season.

Added to Commanders' practice squad
Armah was signed to the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: After being released by the team while dealing with an undisclosed injury to open the season, Armah will return to Washington's practice unit Wednesday. The fullback played in 11 games last season with New Orleans and Washington, turning five carries into 21 yards while reeling in a one-yard touchdown catch over 70 offensive snaps. Armah will provide additional backfield depth behind the likes of Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson.

Released from IR
Armah (undisclosed) was released from Washington's injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Ben Standig of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Armah was set to miss the entirety of the 2022 campaign after he landed on the Commanders' injured reserve with an unknown injury last Tuesday. Now, the fullback will be free to join a new squad once he presumably gets healthy heading into the regular season.

Lands on IR
The Commanders placed Armah (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday.
Analysis: Barring an injury settlement, Armah will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2022 season. The 2017 sixth-round pick appeared in 11 games last year -- spilt between New Orleans and Washington -- and mostly operated on special teams.

Signs new deal with Washington
Washington signed Armah to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
Analysis: The fullback will return to Washington for another season in 2022 after joining the team partly through the 2021 season. Armah appeared in 11 games this season between the Saints and Washington, operating mostly as a special-teams option.

Rejoins practice squad
Armah reverted to Washington's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
Analysis: Armah appeared in his second game of the 2021 season in Week 18 against the Giants, finishing with one tackle. He logged one snap on offense and 13 on special teams in the victory.

Bumped up from practice squad
Armah was elevated from Washington's practice squad Saturday.
Analysis: Armah has appeared in 10 games this season, but just one with Washington. Starting the season with the Saints, Armah was waived Nov. 30 and signed to Washington's practice squad Dec. 2. Armah will likely provide depth in the backfield and work on special teams Sunday against the Giants.

Back with practice squad
Armah reverted to Washington's practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Armah was elevated to Washington's active roster for Week 15, as the team was thin on tight end depth. Although Armah didn't see the field, it seems that the full-back has earned the now third-string tight end role with Washington. Expect Armah to get elevated again if John Bates or Ricky Seals-Jones face any injuries.

Gets practice-squad call-up
Washington elevated Armah from its practice squad prior to Tuesday's game against the Eagles.
Analysis: Though he's a fullback by trade, Armah took some reps at tight end in practice this week and could serve as the lone depth option at the position Tuesday behind John Bates in the event Ricky Seals-Jones (illness) -- who is listed as questionable -- isn't cleared to play. In nine appearances with the Saints earlier this season, Armah was deployed mostly as a blocker. He logged five carries for 21 yards and scored on a one-yard reception on his lone target across 67 snaps on offense.

Joins Washington practice squad
Armah signed with Washington's practice squad Thursday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Armah has longstanding connections with coach Ron Rivera, who was coaching the Panthers when they drafted the fullback in 2017. While he's more of a blocker than a runner, Armah could get an opportunity with the main roster if the injuries to Antonio Gibson (shin) or J.D. McKissic (concussion) keep either running back out of game action.

Waived by Saints
Armah was waived by the Saints on Tuesday, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Armah was inactive for the Saints' Week 12 31-6 loss to Buffalo via a coach's decision. He will presumably be a prime candidate to revert to the team's practice squad should he end up clearing waivers. The Saints will now opt to go without a fullback for the immediate future.

Healthy scratch
Armah (coach's decision) was inactive for Thursday's 31-6 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: The fullback was a healthy scratch despite the injuries to Alvin Kamara (knee) and Mark Ingram (knee).

Expanded offensive role
Armah logged 16 offensive snaps but did not touch the ball during Sunday's 33-22 win over Washington.
Analysis: Armah more than doubled his previous season high in snaps but did not touch the ball. The fullback has two carries for seven yards through five games.

Joins active roster
Armah was signed to the Saints' active roster Friday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Analysis: Armah spent training camp with the Saints, but he was ultimately let go during the final roster cuts. However, he subsequently landed on New Orleans' practice squad and will now get a chance to see the field on the active roster. He will presumably be used primarily for special teams and blocking situations.

Cut by New Orleans
The Saints released Armah on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Armah appeared in all 16 regular-season games for the past three seasons with Carolina before latching on with New Orleans this offseason. His NFL experience will likely garner plenty of interest from around the league.

Signs with NFC South foe
Armah signed with the Saints on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Armah played 55 games for the Panthers over the past four seasons. He was mostly used in a blocking role, but he managed to score three touchdowns anyway. This signing likely means that fullback Michael Burton won't return to New Orleans. Burton averaged roughly 14 offensive snaps per game in 2020, so Armah can expect a similar role during his first season in the Big Easy.

Plays all 16 games
Armah finished the 2020 season with six rushes for nine yards and five receptions on nine targets for 18 yards in 16 games.
Analysis: Armah once again served as Carolina's fullback, playing all 16 games for a third straight season. Unlike the prior two campaigns, though, Armah wasn't able to find the end zone at all, and he was featured on less than 15 percent of the Panthers' total offensive snaps. As one of the few true fullbacks in the league with experience filling an occasional offensive role, the veteran should garner interest as a free agent this offseason.

Secures only target
Armah hauled in his only target during Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Armah's lone catch only got back to the line of scrimmage, but it's notable that he did draw a look in the red zone for the first time since Week 6. On a less positive note, the fullback has played just seven combined offensive snaps over the last two weeks. That's his lowest usage over a two-game stretch all season.

Garners one target
Armah failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's win over the Lions.
Analysis: The 26-year-old continues to see a handful of snaps per contest, and he averaged less than one touch per game. Armah has five carries for six yards and three catches for nine yards in 11 games this season.

Catches one pass
Armah caught his only target for 14 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Armah already has three touches through Carolina's first two games, as coordinator Joe Brady looks to diversify his options out of the backfield with occasional fullback usage. Although Armah's production hasn't been anything special, he at least gets rewarded for his blocking with a touch here and there. Furthermore, if tailback Christian McCaffrey, who exited late with an ankle concern Sunday, is limited going forward, Armah could stand to get a couple more looks in Week 3 versus the Chargers.

Rushes twice Sunday
Armah finished with two carries for one yard in Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: Armah got a chance to score with a carry from the four-yard line to start the fourth quarter, but the fullback could only manage a yard up the middle. He then was trusted on a critical fourth-and-one call with under two minutes left, but he was stuffed for no gain. Although Armah is unlikely to garner more touches in upcoming weeks, it's noteworthy that his number was called in those situations, even if he failed to take advantage of them. On the bright side, he helped pave the way for another…read more

Scores touchdown this season
Armah finished the 2019 season with six carries for 11 yards and a touchdown and two receptions for six yards across 16 games.
Analysis: Armah again served as Carolina's fullback this season, and though that role doesn't lend itself to much fantasy value, he was at least turned in a one-yard touchdown plunge in Week 1. The veteran remains under contract with the Panthers next season, so expect him to reprise his usual duties as a lead blocker for star running back Christian McCaffrey.
