Finds end zone in high-scoring win
Lindsay rushed 16 times for 51 yards and a touchdown while catching both of his targets for four yards in Sunday's 38-24 win over Houston.
Analysis: Lindsay's one-yard touchdown in the third quarter gave his team a 38-3 lead. He got 16 carries to Royce Freeman's eight, but the running game was surprisingly quiet for the Broncos in this one. Lindsay has eclipsed 50 rushing yards in 10 of his last 11 games, and he's added six touchdowns in that span, making the second-year running back a dependable option heading into a Week 15 matchup against the vulnerable Chiefs run defense.

Held in check vs. Chargers
Lindsay carried 17 times for 58 yards and caught all three of his targets for an additional four yards during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Lindsay struggled to get things going on the ground as he finished averaging just 3.4 yards per attempt. He hauled in each of the passes Drew Lock sent his way but lost yardage on two of them and finished with underwhelming numbers in that phase. Lindsay more than doubled Royce Freeman's number of touches in this one, but he hasn't exceeded 75 scrimmage yards in the last three games and will look to do more with his usage next Sunday against the Texans.

Gains 68 yards
Lindsay ran for 57 yards on 13 attempts and added an 11-yard catch during Sunday's 20-3 loss in Buffalo.
Analysis: Lindsay was unable to shake loose against the Bills, but his 4.4 yards-per-carry average was all the more impressive considering the Denver pass offense did not pose a threat throughout the game. Lindsay is dangerous when he's able to get to the edge and slash through the line. That's becoming increasingly difficult as defenses have learned not to fear Brandon Allen's arm on dropbacks. A middle-of-the-road Chargers pass defense awaits Sunday, but Lindsay's value may ride on whether Allen is…read more

Good to go after full practice
Lindsay (foot/wrist) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's road game against the Bills after practicing fully Friday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: In this past Sunday's 27-23 loss to Minnesota, Lindsay out-snapped fellow running back Royce Freeman, 51-23, en route to logging 16 carries for 67 yards and catching both of his targets for eight yards. For his part, Freeman carried eight times for 31 yards and hauled in his lone target for 14 yards. Expect a similar timeshare (i.e. one tilted in Lindsay's favor) to be in effect this weekend against a Buffalo defense that has allowed an average of 106.3 rushing yards per game.

Still limited in practice
Lindsay (foot/wrist) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Lindsay is apparently still a little banged up after handling one his larger snap shares (64 percent) in the Week 11 loss to the Vikings. The fact that he was able to fit in some on-field work in the Broncos' first two sessions of Week 12 suggests he's trending toward playing Sunday in Buffalo, but Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not he carries a designation into that contest.

Limited practice Wednesday
Lindsay was limited at practice Wednesday due to foot and wrist injuries.
Analysis: In the Broncos' Week 11 loss to the Vikings, Lindsay out-snapped Royce Freeman, 51-23, while rushing 16 times for 67 yards and catching both of his targets for eight yards. Meanwhile, Freeman ran eight times for 31 yards and caught his only target for 14 yards. Assuming his current aches and pains are nothing major, Lindsay should head the Broncos' backfield once again this Sunday in Buffalo.

Gains 75 yards in loss
Lindsay ran for 67 yards on 16 carries and added eight yards on two catches during Sunday's 27-23 loss in Minnesota.
Analysis: Lindsay, much like Denver as a whole, was able to gain some chunks early on, but fell out of rhythm late. The sophomore back hasn't drawn quite the praise he did last season and is averaging -- by his standards -- a modest 4.9 yards per carry this season, down from 5.4 yards per carry as a rookie. Still, an increase in usage has helped him top 75 total yards in five of his last six games and he's on pace to edge out last season's production both on the ground and through the air. Expected to garner larger workload
Lindsay is expected to take on a larger share of the backfield snaps and touches Sunday against the Vikings, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Denver has deployed a fairly even distribution of the workload between Lindsay and Royce Freeman all season, with the former playing between 40 and 56 percent of the offensive snaps and topping out at 25 touches and the latter handling snap shares between 47 and 63 percent and maxing out at 19 touches. Freeman (4.0 yards per carry) has been far less efficient on the ground than Lindsay (4.9 YPC), which could provide an explanation behind the Broncos' supposed plan to feature the 25-year-old…read more

Seals win with TD
Lindsay carried the ball nine times for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Browns.
Analysis: He was far more productive than Royce Freeman (14 scrimmage yards on six touches) in this one, and Lindsay's 30-yard TD scamper in the third quarter gave the Broncos just enough cushion to hang on for the win. It's his best rushing performance since Week 5, but Lindsay's snap share will remain limited as long as the wrist injury he's been playing through restricts his ability to pass protect. He'll get a bye week to heal up before Denver heads to Minnesota in Week 11.

Logs full practice
Lindsay (wrist) returned to a full practice Thursday, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Lindsay was limited at practice Wednesday and the fact that a wrist issue was listed as the reason why was worth noting, given that the running back had offseason wrist surgery. His full participation Thursday should ease concerns of any sort of notable setback, and Lindsay is on track to continue to work in a backfield time-share with Royce Freeman on Sunday against the Browns.

Limited by wrist injury
Lindsay was limited at practice Wednesday due to a wrist injury, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Lindsay's status will be worth monitoring in the days to come, given that the running back underwent wrist surgery during the offseason. Eight games into the campaign, Lindsay has logged 109 carries for 492 yards and four touchdowns while adding 25 catches for 160 yards. He's put those numbers up while in a timeshare with Royce Freeman, who has carried 88 times for 359 yards and two scores to go with 26 catches for 182 yards.

Gains 76 yards in loss
Lindsay ran for 59 yards on 14 carries and added five catches for 17 yards during Sunday's 15-13 loss in Indianapolis.
Analysis: With the Broncos nursing a one-point lead in the closing minutes of the game, Lindsay took the inside hand-off on third down and was stuffed. The Broncos were forced to punt and watch a game-ending opposing field goal for the third time this season. Lindsay echoed quarterback Joe Flacco after the game that he wished the offense was a little more aggressive. Struggles in loss
Lindsay rushed 11 times for 36 yards and secured his only target for minus-4 yards in the Broncos' 30-6 loss to the Chiefs on Thursday.
Analysis: Lindsay and backfield mate Royce Freeman struggled with efficiency against a Chiefs team that came into the contest having allowed the most rushing yards in the league to running backs. The second-year back had averaged between 4.7 and 7.6 yards per carry in each of his three games prior to Thursday, so his struggles were a particularly rude awakening. Picks up 75 yards, scores
Lindsay ran for 70 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and caught two passes for five total yards during Sunday's 16-0 win over Tennessee.
Analysis: Lindsay plunged in for the game's only touchdown from two yards out late in the third quarter, but a clutch fourth-quarter run was arguably his biggest of the game. With the ball at midfield midway through the fourth quarter, Lindsay took the inside handoff and was stuffed, but he managed to scramble out and find the edge for a gain of 30, setting up a field goal to put Denver up by 16. Totals 147 scrimmage yards
Lindsay carried 15 times for 114 yards and a touchdown Sunday against the Chargers. He also caught four passes for an additional 33 yards in the 20-13 win.
Analysis: Lindsay averaged a hefty 7.6 yards per carry as he topped 100 rushing yards for the first time this season. He capped off the opening drive with a four-yard touchdown run to open the scoring, giving him three in his last three games. Lindsay has also been a contributor as a pass catcher, totaling at least 30 receiving yards in three of his last four. Sees limited volume
Lindsay carried the ball nine times for 53 yards in Week 4 against Denver. He also added one reception for seven yards.
Analysis: Lindsay saw over half of the team's rushing attempts, but was held back as the Broncos recorded just 16 overall rushes. Even more discouraging was the fact that Lindsay was targeted just once, especially considering Royce Freeman saw six passes go his direction. While this was the first game in which Lindsay didn't receive double-digit carries, he has averaged just 3.9 yards per rush this season and appears to be reliant on pass volume and touchdowns to maintain fantasy relevance. Strikes twice in win
Lindsay ran for 81 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and added 49 yards on four catches during Sunday's 27-16 loss in Green Bay.
Analysis: Lindsay played big Sunday, particularly during he second drive of the third quarter. Lindsay converted a second-and-long with a 36-yard reception on a swing pass and then capped it off on fourth-and-one with a goal-line score on a play in which he was originally stopped at the line. Head coach Vic Fangio said after the game that Green Bay played a lot of defensive backs and essentially dared Denver to run. Struggles again in Week 2
Lindsay carried the ball 13 times for 36 yards and caught four of seven targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: For the second straight game, Lindsay was less effective than Royce Freeman while seeing nearly equal touches with his fellow second-year RB. Lindsay has not shown the same dynamic big-play ability he did as a rookie, and he could fall decisively behind Freeman on the depth chart if he doesn't begin to produce.

Meager numbers in season opener
Lindsay ran for 43 yards on 11 carries, while corralling four of six targets for a total of 23 receiving yards during Monday's 24-16 loss to Oakland.
Analysis: Week 1 marked Lindsay's first meaningful game action since he broke his wrist in the Monday Night Football finale against these same Raiders last Christmas Eve. In the final game of the NFL's opening weekend, Lindsay was unable to match the scorching 5.4 yards per carry average he set as a rookie despite facing an Oakland defense that last year ranked better than only Miami and Arizona against the run. Gets five carries
Lindsay rushed five times for 14 yards in Monday night's 24-15 preseason loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Lindsay drew Denver's first rush of the game, but teammate Royce Freeman also saw carries on the team's opening drive. Both players featured into the second quarter, and while Freeman did make a six-yard catch, he netted no yards on his five carries and Lindsay had the slightly better showing among the two tailbacks.

Grabs 19 yards in preseason debut
Lindsay rushed for 10 yards on four carries and added a nine-yard catch during Thursday's 22-14 preseason loss to Seattle.
Analysis: Lindsay only played on Denver's first drive and made some nice plays -- a 10-yard run on a broken play and nine-yard catch on a checkdown -- before getting stonewalled in the red zone. It's hard to read too much into Lindsay's first drive of the preseason, but it seems as though Denver will lean on its stable of backs enough for Lindsay to still get plenty of exposure despite the strong offseason of Royce Freeman and acquisition of Theo Riddick.

Gets extra competition with Riddick
The Broncos are signing veteran back Theo Riddick, Rob Demovsky of ESPN NFL Nation reports. The signing adds a proven pass catcher, who could challenge Lindsay for touches.
Analysis: Adding a pass-catching force in the backfield is an interesting move by Denver's front office after an offseason hyping up Lindsay's receiving prowess. Lindsay was set to potentially see a small cut in his carries in favor of an overall increase in usage with more opportunities in the passing game. It's possible that, assuming he makes the team, Riddick will mostly be used on special teams and to replace Devontae Booker's modest usage as a third-down back, but how touches are spread over the…read more

Lindsay is participating during Monday's practice, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: Lindsay sat out Saturday's practice due to a minor back issue caused by a visit with a chiropractor, but now appears back to full health. The second-year running back is on track to reprise a key role in Denver's offense in 2019, though Royce Freeman also stands to see more usage. Lindsay reportedly is working to carve out a larger role as a pass catcher, which could serve to make up for any carries conceded to Freeman.

Catching ability could up usage
After a Pro Bowl rookie campaign, Lindsay could see his usage increase in 2019 while still having some carries vultured away by Royce Freeman, Benjamin Allbright of KOA News Radio predicts.
Analysis: Excluding Week 3's matchup against the Ravens during which he was ejected, Lindsay averaged 13.4 carries and 3.2 targets per game in 2018. Given his season-ending wrist injury, diminutive size, and offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello's emphasis on getting Lindsay in space, diversifying Lindsay's role makes sense. Ready for more targets
Lindsay is excited for his role in the passing game, noting that teammate Emmanuel Sanders (Achilles) helped him work on route running during the offseason, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Analysis: There's been a lot of talk about Royce Freeman taking more carries -- something that wouldn't necessarily hurt Lindsay's workload if he were to bump Devontae Booker out of the passing-down role. It's difficult for two players to maintain fantasy value in a backfield that allots regular snaps to three RBs, but it's much easier using a two-way split. Analysis: Per the report, Fangio liked what he saw from Lindsay on the first day of Broncos training camp. Given that the running back is bouncing back from a wrist injury, there's no concern regarding the wheels that propelled him (as a rookie) to 192 carries for 1,037 yards and nine TDs to go along with 35 catches for 241 yards and a receiving score in 2018. Easing into practice
Coach Vic Fangio said Wednesday that Lindsay (wrist) is ready for the start of training camp but will be eased into practices, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Lindsay expressed similar confidence Monday, noting that he's 100 percent recovered from the broken right wrist that ended his prolific rookie season after Week 16. His absence from offseason practices freed up extra first-team work for Royce Freeman, who is now expected to challenge Lindsay for carries on early downs. Analysis: The running back did, however, acknowledge that Denver's coaches and training staff will determine the amount of reps he takes once camp opens up Thursday. The 24-year-old joined the Broncos last season as an undrafted free agent, and the 5-foot-8, 190-pounder emerged as the team's lead back en route to logging 192 carries for 1,037 yards and nine rushing TDs to go along with 35 catches for 241 yards and a receiving score. Analysis: Lindsay was limited to individual drills throughout OTAs and minicamp, eventually catching passes from a Jugs machine Tuesday. He had five drops and only 241 receiving yards on 47 targets (5.1 YPT) last season, but more than made up for it with hyper-efficient rushing production -- 5.4 YPC, nine TDs on 192 carries. Catches passes off Jugs
Lindsay was spotted snaring passes from a Jugs machine after practice Tuesday for the first time since his wrist surgery, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Given the location of Lindsay's surgery, catching passes from a machine certainly marks a significant step in the recovery process. He's spent plenty of the offseason likely focused on learning new offensive coordinator Rich Scangareloo's playbook, but it appears he may be moving closer to putting that into action on the field. Lindsay churned out 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns on 192 carries as a rookie and should be positioned for a major role on offense again in 2019.

Not catching passes
Lindsay (wrist) didn't appear to catch passes at OTAs, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: Working his way back from late-December surgery, Lindsay has been limited to select individual drills this spring, with most of his attention likely focused on learning the playbook from new offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. A system relying on outside-zone runs theoretically should work in favor of a 190-pound running back, but Lindsay isn't necessarily thrilled about the change after finishing third in the league with 5.4 YPC in Bill Musgrave's offense last year. Beginning OTAs limited
Lindsay (wrist) will be limited when the Broncos begin OTAs on Monday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: A mere spectator during voluntary minicamp last month, Lindsay is making progress after undergoing surgery on his right wrist in late December. More specifics should be available once the Broncos actually begin activities this week, but it wouldn't be surprising for the 24-year-old to remain limited for the near future. Lindsay (wrist) is present Tuesday for voluntary minicamp, but he isn't participating in drills, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Working his way back from a season-ending wrist fracture, Lindsay was limited to stretching and chatting with teammates during Tuesday's session. His availability for training camp doesn't seem to be much of a concern, but he'll likely remain limited throughout the offseason program, with his focus on learning a new playbook from offensive coordinator Rich Scangarello. Analysis: Lindsay is recovering from a fractured right wrist that is preventing the running back from fully participating in the outset of the Broncos' offseason training program that started this week. Given that he's nursing an arm injury -- as opposed to a lower-body issue -- it's not a huge surprise that Denver has allowed him to take part in select drills this spring, but the running back remains without a firm timetable to return to the field in a full capacity. Coach Vic Fangio said Lindsay (wrist) is unlikely to participate in the beginning of OTAs, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: The Broncos have a bonus minicamp the week after the 2019 NFL Draft, and Lindsay likely will be watching from the sidelines. It's unclear if he''ll be able to participate in any part of the offseason program, but there doesn't seem to be concern about his availability for training camp. Uncertain for OTAs
Lindsay (wrist) is still sporting a hard cast on his right arm and declined to comment Wednesday regarding his potential availability for OTAs, Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The rehab timeline was estimated at 3-to-4 months when the undrafted rookie sensation landed on injured reserve and had surgery after Week 16. His continued use of a hard cast doesn't mean he's behind schedule, but it suggests his weightlifting will be limited during the offseason. In any case, Lindsay should regain his health long before training camp, and perhaps even for OTAs or minicamp this spring. With Lindsay out, the Broncos will rely on Royce Freeman to see most of the action on early downs, while Devontae Booker perhaps takes on an enhanced role as a change-of-pace option. The estimated timeline for Lindsay's recovery puts him on track to be healthy in time for…read more

Surgery on tap
Coach Vance Joseph confirmed Wednesday that Lindsay will undergo surgery to address a "serious" wrist injury, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: Both Troy Renck of Denver 7 News and Mike Klis of 9News Denver suggest that Lindsay is looking at a 4-to-6 month recovery period. While the injury is a tough ending to Lindsay's fine rookie campaign, such a timeline implies that he'll be healthy in advance of training camp this summer, at which point he'll look to reclaim his perch atop the Broncos' running back depth chart. To close out the 2018 season Sunday against the Chargers, Denver will rely on Royce Freeman to handle the bulk of the…read more

Could be limited in OTAs
The right wrist injury that will force Lindsay to miss the Broncos' season finale Sunday against the Chargers involves torn ligaments around the scaphoid bone, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: Per the report, surgery is a likely outcome for Lindsay, with Klis suggesting that any procedure would entail a 4-to-6 month recovery. Based on that estimate, it's possible Lindsay could be available for non-contact work during OTAs in the spring before returning at full strength when training camp opens. While the injury spells a disappointing end to his campaign, the undrafted rookie was an unexpected fantasy stalwart in 2018, logging 192 carries for 1,037 yards and nine rushing scores to go…read more

Done for season
Lindsay underwent an MRI on Tuesday that revealed ligament damage in his right wrist, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports. He won't be available for the Broncos' Week 17 game against the Chargers and is unlikely to suit up for the Pro Bowl.
Analysis: Lindsay was hopeful that he only suffered a sprained right wrist during Monday's 27-14 loss to the Raiders, but it's believed he's dealing with a scaphoid fracture based on the results of the initial MRI. He's set to receive a second opinion on the injury before potentially undergoing surgery to address the matter. It's a disappointing end to an otherwise magnificent campaign for Lindsay, who fell just 41 rushing yards shy of matching the NFL record for an undrafted rookie that was established…read more

MRI on tap
Lindsay will undergo an MRI on his right wrist Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Analysis: Lindsay exited Monday's game against the Raiders with what was originally deemed to be a right hand injury, but further examination apparently has resulted in the medical staff targeting his wrist instead. He ended the night with 46 yards on 10 carries and two receptions for 11 yards. Considering the Broncos don't have anything to play for Week 17 against the Chargers, it wouldn't be surprising if the team decides to sit Lindsay for precautionary reasons even if the MRI comes back favorable.…read more

Early exit in Oakland
Lindsay will not return to Monday's game against the Raiders after suffering a right hand injury.
Analysis: Lindsay was the Broncos' leading rusher with 46 yards when he exited the game in the fourth quarter. The 24-year-old also had two catches for 11 yards. Royce Freeman and Devontae Booker will be expected to fill the void left by Lindsay for the remainder of Monday's game.

Makes Pro Bowl squad
Lindsay, along with teammate Von Miller, earned a Pro Bowl spot, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: With his selection, Lindsay becomes the first undrafted offensive rookie to earn a trip to the Pro Bowl. With 991 rushing yards through 14 games, the local product has shocked the league, and likely the Broncos -- who selected two backs in April's draft. However, he has struggled lately with opposing teams able to sell out against the run with no established targets left standing in Mile High. Still, it's a fair bet that Lindsay will cross the 1,000-yard mark for the season Sunday against…read more

Completely neutralized in loss
Lindsay managed only 24 yards on 14 carries, adding four receptions for 20 yards during Saturday's 17-16 loss to Cleveland.
Analysis: After rattling off six consecutive performances of 60 or more rushing yards between Weeks 7 and 13, Lindsay has managed a meager 54 yards on 28 attempts over his past two outings. The undrafted rookie phenom averaged a jaw-dropping 6.1 yards per carry through his first 12 NFL games, but San Francisco and Cleveland have contained him to fewer than 2.0 YPC with one total touchdown (five scores in three games prior). He's bailed out fantasy owners somewhat with four receptions in back-to-back…read more

Tough sledding on ground
Lindsay rushed 14 times for 30 yards and a touchdown and brought in four of seven targets for 21 yards in the Broncos' 20-14 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Analysis: Outside of a nifty 3-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, Lindsay struggled to do anything on the ground against a stingy 49ers front. The rookie was coming off a pair of 100-yard efforts, so the decline in production was steep and sudden. Lindsay does have at least one rushing touchdown in four consecutive games, so he continues to reward fantasy owners even on days like Sunday when his overall yardage totals take a hit. Lindsay will look to get his numbers back up to their usual levels…read more

Sparks win with 159 total yards
Lindsay rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries and added a 2-yard catch during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: A huge chunk of Lindsay's production came on a 65-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Lindsay turned the corner on a toss play, set up an Emmanuel Sanders crack block and then followed tackle Garett Bolles on his way to paydirt. Lindsay has been the Broncos' single best offensive weapon during their three-game winning streak following the bye. Granted, quarterback Case Keenum hasn't been lighting it up, but the Broncos have been better off running Lindsay than throwing it: Lindsay is…read more

Breaks century mark in Week 12 win
Lindsay registered 110 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 carries during Sunday's 24-17 win against the Steelers.
Analysis: The rookie running back has come close on two occasions (90-plus rushing yards in Week 7 and Week 8), but Sunday's 110-yard outing against Pittsburgh was his first time breaking the century mark on the ground since picking up 107 against Oakland on Sept. 16. Lindsay offers minimal value as a pass catcher (2.2 catches and 17 receiving yards per game), but his otherworldly 5.8 yards per carry average and six rushing touchdowns have helped establish the undrafted phenom as a midrange RB2. Week 13…read more

Scores twice in upset win
Lindsay rushed for 79 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries and added four receptions for 27 yards on five targets Sunday in the Broncos' 23-22 win over the Chargers.
Analysis: Immediately after punter Colby Waldman completed a 12-yard pass on a fake punt to keep a drive alive early in the second quarter, Lindsay helped the Broncos maintain momentum with a 41-yard touchdown jaunt. The rookie scored again in the fourth quarter to give Denver a short-lived lead, though he didn't see any touches on the team's final drive of the afternoon, which culminated in Brandon McManus' game-winning field goal. In any event, it was yet another efficient outing for the undrafted…read more

Not guaranteed lead role in Week 11
Lindsay could cede more snaps and touches to Royce Freeman and/or Devontae Booker in Sunday's game against the Chargers after coach Vance Joseph said he would take a "hot hand" approach to the Denver backfield, Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com reports. "I said this in training camp, the hot guy will play more reps probably," Joseph said Friday. "But we have a plan for all three of our [running backs].''
Analysis: Though Joseph suggested a three-man committee remains in place, Freeman should be viewed as the more significant threat to Lindsay's workload than Booker. Lindsay handled his two largest carry counts of the season in the Broncos' last two games -- 18 in Week 8 against the Chiefs and 17 in Week 9 against the Texans -- which coincided with Freeman sitting out due to a high-ankle sprain. Now healthy coming out of the Broncos' Week 10 bye, Freeman -- who averaged 10.1 totes per game through the…read more

Contained to 3.5 yards per carry
Lindsay rushed for 60 yards on 17 attempts, adding two receptions for 24 yards during Sunday's 19-17 loss to Houston.
Analysis: The electrifying rookie running back was contained to a season-low 3.5 yards per carry average against the Texans, while establishing his lowest rushing total for a game with at least 12 attempts. Houston has been dominant against the run in 2018 (3.6 rush allowed per rush coming in), and Lindsay was no exception, picking up four or more yards on just five of 17 handoffs. Denver limps into a Week 10 bye as loser of six of its past seven, with a matchup against the Chargers' formidable front…read more

Expected to retain lead role
Lindsay will likely serve as the Broncos' lead back Sunday against the Texans with Royce Freeman (ankle), who is listed as questionable, not expected to play, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Analysis: Though Lindsay has been the more productive of the rookie backs, the two have essentially operated as co-starters at the position for much of the season, as Freeman has logged no fewer than 16 snaps in any of the seven games he's played. While Freeman was out in Week 8 against the Chiefs, Lindsay earned his biggest touch count (21) of the campaign, parlaying his 18 carries and three receptions into 112 total yards and a touchdown. Another elevated workload presumably awaits Lindsay in Week 9,…read more
