Bounces back with big Week 14
Kirk corralled eight of nine targets for 85 receiving yards and ran for four yards on his only rush attempt during Sunday's 23-17 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: The second-year wideout got back on track Week 14 after managing nine combined receptions for 64 yards in his preceding two outings against the 49ers and Rams. Prior to the downtick in production between Weeks 11 and 13, Kirk had a breakout game Nov. 10 against Tampa Bay, exploding for 138 yards and three touchdowns -- his only three scores of the year thus far. A Week 15 matchup against Cleveland's top-six pass defense is less than favorable for Kirk's immediate outlook, especially given that…read more

Struggles against Rams
Kirk caught three of seven targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 34-7 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Despite tying Larry Fitzgerald for the team lead in targets, Kirk wound up posting his second-lowest yardage total of the year. It's the third time in the last four games he's averaged less than 5.0 yards per target, a poor showing for a player with his big-play potential, and he may not have much more success in next week's tilt against the Steelers.

Notches six more catches
Kirk corralled six of nine passes for 41 yards and had a one-yard rush during Sunday's 36-26 loss at San Francisco.
Analysis: Kirk led all Cardinals wideouts in offensive snap share, missing just one of 69 plays. He also paced the team in targets and receiving yards while matching Kenyan Drake's six receptions. With eight appearances under his belt this season, Kirk's stat line prorates to 92-1,016-6 over a full 16-game schedule, making him a must-start on a weekly basis, even if the Cardinals' passing attack isn't exactly clicking in every outing.

Snaps touchdown drought in loss
Kirk secured six of 10 targets for 138 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinals' 30-27 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk put a touchdown drought that dated back to Week 11 of last season to rest in spectacular fashion, scoring from 33, 69 and 15 yards out in the second, third and fourth quarters, respectively. The final touchdown gave the Cardinals a 27-23 lead midway through the fourth quarter, but Jameis Winston ultimately would lead a six-play, 92-yard game-winning drive for the Buccaneers. Kirk's receiving yardage total also was a career high and served as the second 100-yard game of his career overall.…read more

Has quiet Week 9 outing
Kirk corralled two of five targets for eight yards and posted an eight-yard carry during Thursday's 28-25 loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Kirk led all Cardinals wide receivers in both targets and offensive snaps (55 of 57), but the usage didn't translate to the box score. Granted, Kyler Murray attempted just 24 passes, and seven of Kirk's teammates also tallied at least one catch. Additionally, Kirk may have been impacted by playing two games in the span of five days after sitting out three weeks due to an ankle injury. In any case, he'll have plenty of time to rest up for the Cardinals' next contest on Sunday, Nov. 10 at Tampa…read more

Busy in return to action
Kirk (ankle) secured eight of 11 targets for 79 yards and rushed once for 19 yards in the Cardinals' 31-9 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
Analysis: Kirk was Kyler Murray's favorite receiver in the wideout's return from a three-game absence, as he paced the Cardinals in both receptions and targets. Kirk now has double-digit looks in three of his first five games of the season, and Sunday's yardage tally was his second highest of the campaign, although it's certainly worth noting he's yet to find the end zone. Kirk will look to keep the momentum going against the 49ers in a Week 9 Thursday night battle.

Returns to action Sunday
Kirk (ankle) is listed as active Sunday at New Orleans, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Entering the weekend with yet another "questionable" tag due to a lingering right ankle injury, Kirk will play for the first time since Week 4, as Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Sunday morning. Kirk's workload is the biggest question mark hanging over his head. With no full practices under his belt, his snap count may be capped to ensure he suffers no in-game setbacks. Having said that, Kirk has a decent chance to make a dent versus a Saints defense that has surrendered 8.5 YPT to wide…read more

In line to return Sunday
Kirk (ankle) is expected to return Sunday at New Orleans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Sidelined the last three games due to a right ankle injury, Kirk may be on a limited snap count due to his inability to fit in a full practice to date during his recovery. No matter, he should retain his post as one of the Cardinals' starting slot receivers next to Larry Fitzgerald, which translated to 24 catches (on 37 targets) for 242 yards and no touchdowns for Kirk in the first four weeks of the season.

Headed for game-time call
Kirk (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with New Orleans, Mike Jurecki of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Kirk has been limited in practice the past three weeks, unable to progress to full participation. A 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff makes it easy for fantasy managers to make other plans, with the Cardinals potentially waiting until they release their inactive list to reveal the final decision. Larry Fitzgerald, Trent Sherfield and Damiere Byrd handled most of the WR snaps last week, with Pharoh Cooper and Andy Isabella also mixing in. Limited again Thursday
Kirk (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday.
Analysis: Kirk has maintained the same workload in practice for three consecutive weeks, which wasn't enough for him to suit up on the first two occasions. As a result, he may have to practice without limitations Friday in order to have a chance to suit up Sunday in New Orleans. If Kirk is inactive for a fourth game in a row, Pharoh Cooper again will be called upon for slot reps behind top option Larry Fitzgerald.

Another limited practice Wednesday
Kirk (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: As coach Kliff Kingsbury has noted a number of times, the last step in Kirk's recovery from a right ankle injury will be adeptly cutting while running routes. Until he reaches that point without issue, Kirk may not be listed as more than "limited" on Cardinals injury reports. Fortunately for the second-year wide receiver, he has two more chances this week to make an impression on the team's training staff.

Not playing Week 7
Kirk (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's road game against the Giants, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Kirk will have to wait another week to suit up as he makes his way back from a right ankle injury, primarily due to an inability to perform cuts capably while running routes. With snaps available out of the slot, Pharoh Cooper again should see an elevated role behind the Cardinals' top inside receiver, Larry Fitzgerald.

Trending toward sitting Week 7
Kirk (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, isn't expected to suit up, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Cardinals are still seemingly treating Kirk as a game-time decision, but Darren Urban of the team's official site suggested Friday that the wideout still isn't "all the way there" when it comes to making cuts while running routes. With that in mind, Rapoport suggests that Kirk will likely need another week of rehab and recovery before presumably returning to action Week 8 in New Orleans. If Kirk is in fact out when Arizona releases its inactive list around 11:30 a.m. EDT, Damiere Byrd,…read more

Headed for game-time decision
Kirk (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, is viewed as a game-day decision, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Fortunately, the Cardinals and Giants will kick off at 1 p.m. EDT as part of the early slate of games, so fantasy managers waiting on Kirk's status should have ample alternatives at their disposal if the wideout is ruled out for a third straight contest. Kirk practiced in limited fashion throughout the week, but Urban noted Friday that the 22-year-old still isn't completely comfortable cutting.

Not on track to play
Kirk (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, isn't expected to play, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Sidelined for the Cardinals' past two games with the right ankle injury, Kirk took a questionable tag into the weekend after practicing on a limited basis all week. While the Cardinals have described Kirk as a game-time decision, Schefter's report implies there isn't much confidence he'll ultimately gain clearance ahead of the 1 p.m. EDT kickoff. If that's the case, Larry Fitzgerald, Damiere Byrd, KeeSean Johnson and Trent Sherfield would likely handle the majority of the snaps at receiver.

Officially listed as questionable
Kirk (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Kirk's game status was a foregone conclusion after coach Kliff Kingsbury referred to the wide receiver as a game-time decision earlier Friday. Kirk was a limited participant at each practice the past two weeks, never quite making it back to full participation. He reportedly still looks less than 100 percent in practice, but the Cardinals could bring him back into action if he looks good in pregame warmups before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. EST kickoff.

Shaping up as game-time call
Kirk (ankle) has shown improved cutting ability in practice, but he still isn't back to full strength and is headed for a game-time decision Sunday against the Giants, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: A limited practice participant the past two weeks, Kirk presumably will be listed as questionable on the final injury report. With David Johnson (ankle) also viewed as a game-time decision, Kyler Murray may have his work cut out for him, albeit against a porous Giants pass defense. The Cardinals used a rotation of wideouts behind Larry Fitzgerald and KeeSean Johnson in Week 6, with Trent Sherfield playing 52 percent of snaps while Pharoh Cooper (35 percent), Damiere Byrd (22 percent) and Andy…read more

Still has cap on practice reps
Kirk (ankle) was limited in practice Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Kirk continues to have a cap on his reps, but at least he's practicing as his right ankle gets healthier. On Wednesday, coach Kliff Kingsbury even told Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com that Kirk is "closer than he was last week." Kirk still must display an ability to cut while running, though, so he may have to progress to full participation Friday to get the all-clear for Sunday's road game versus the Giants.

Getting healthier
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday that Kirk is "closer than he was last week" to returning to action, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: For the second straight week, Kirk is practicing in a limited fashion, per Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site. That fact runs slightly counter to Kingsbury's comments, in which he also relayed that Kirk hasn't been cleared to play because he hasn't been able to cut while running. Kirk has two more practices to prove his health in advance of Sunday's road game versus the Giants.

Kirk (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Despite being limited in practice all week, Kirk will stick to the sideline for a second straight contest. His reps in the slot primarily will go to Pharoh Cooper, though rookie Andy Isabella also is on hand for those snaps.

Not expected to play Sunday
Kirk (ankle), who is listed as questionable on the official injury report, isn't expected to play Sunday against Atlanta, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Despite this report, fantasy managers will still want to check Kirk's status ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. EDT kickoff. Andy Isabella and Pharoh Cooper would get reps out of the slot Sunday against the Falcons if Kirk is out.

Headed for GTD
Kirk (ankle) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with the Falcons, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: The same goes for Cardinals running back David Johnson (back), who said Friday that he expects to play. Kirk hasn't commented on his own availability, so it's best to view him as truly questionable ahead of Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. The Cardinals will release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes before the game.

Remains limited Thursday
Kirk (ankle) was limited at Thursday's practice, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: A cap remained on Kirk's reps as he works his way back from a right ankle injury. Ultimately, the Cardinals will give a sense of his potential to return this weekend with the release of Friday's practice report. Another absence from Kirkw would allow Andy Isabella and Pharoh Cooper to get reps out of the slot Sunday against the Falcons.

Limited at practice Wednesday
Kirk (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: A week removed from not practicing at all due to a right ankle injury, Kirk is easing into Week 6 preparations. He doesn't necessary need to progress to full participant Thursday and/or Friday in order to suit up Sunday against the Falcons, but he would help his cause if he does so.

Kirk (ankle) participated in practice Wednesday, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Kirk was unable to practice at any point last week due to a right ankle injury suffered in the Sept. 29 loss to the Seahawks. May practice this week
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Kirk (ankle) could practice this week, but the team will remain "safe" with his recovery, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Kirk didn't practice last week after sustaining the ankle injury Week 4 against the Bengals, but he appears to have avoided a more serious injury. The 22-year-old hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but it sounds as though the team may remain cautious and wait until at least Week 7 for his return. Kirk certainly could change that outlook with significant progress at practice this week.

Ruled out Week 5
Kirk (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Cincinnati, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Kirk was unable to practice throughout the week and instead limited to rehab work on a side field while sporting a brace around his injured ankle. Coach Kliff Kingsbury said the wide receiver's injury "could have been a lot worse," perhaps hinting at a return within the next few weeks. Still not practicing Thursday
Kirk (ankle) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: Although he officially received a second consecutive DNP, Kirk was spotted working out on a side field and catching passes with a brace on his ankle, per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com. Such an observation backs up the belief of coach Kliff Kingsbury that Kirk's injury "could have been a lot worse," according to Kyle Odegard of the team's official site. However, that didn't come to pass, which is more in line with Kingsbury's thoughts -- "not likely," per Bordow -- about Kirk's availability Sunday at Cincinnati. Avoids major injury
Kirk (ankle) is expected to miss Sunday's tilt against the Bengals but isn't nursing a major injury, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: According to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com, Kirk will participate in Wednesday's practice on a limited basis, a welcome sign after coach Kliff Kingsbury didn't seem to express much optimism about the wideout's health when he met with the media Monday. Could miss time with ankle injury
Coach Kliff Kingsburg confirmed that Kirk suffered an ankle injury in Sunday's loss to the Seahawks and suggested the wideout could be at risk of missing time, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Though Kingsbury didn't elaborate much on the extent of the injury and said he wouldn't provide another update until Wednesday, the coach noted that he "hates" it for Kirk and relayed that the team would look into signing another receiver. Kirk is presumably slated to undergo tests Monday as the Cardinals look to get more clarity on the injury, but fantasy managers may already want to brace for the possibility of the 22-year-old sitting out the Week 5 matchup with the Bengals.

Leading receiver in loss
Kirk caught 10 of 12 targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 38-20 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: He led the Cards in catches, yards and targets on the afternoon, but Kirk's longest reception went for only 13 yards as Kyler Murray was running for his life much of the game and had to get rid of the ball quickly. The second-year receiver is still looking for his first TD of the season, but through three games, Kirk's proven to be one of Murray's most reliable options, catching 20 passes for 205 yards.

Picks up 114 yards
Kirk caught six of eight targets for 114 yards during Sunday's 23-17 loss to Baltimore.
Analysis: Kirk was targeted plenty in Week 1, but came away with little to show for it. That wasn't the case Sunday as Arizona got Kirk involved early, including on a 34-yard deep shot early in the first quarter. Arizona has attempted 99 passes through two weeks and Kirk has seen 20 of those targets, so opportunities shouldn't be an issue this season. Next up is a Carolina defense that was solid against the pass in 2018 and is desperate to avoid an 0-3 start.

Struggles despite 12 targets
Kirk caught four of 12 targets for 32 yards while adding 12 yards on his lone rushing attempt during Sunday's 27-27 tie with the Lions. He also caught a two-point conversion.
Analysis: Kirk struggled to generate any plays downfield -- his longest catch went for 10 yards -- and he averaged just 8.0 yards per reception. Meanwhile, the likes of Larry Fitzgerald, KeeSean Johnson and Damiere Byrd finished ahead of him in receiving yardage, with David Johnson doing his usual damage as a pass catcher. Another quiet game
Kirk hauled in two of his six targets for five yards in the team's third preseason contest against the Vikings on Saturday.
Analysis: Kirk made his second preseason appearance but didn't do much to impress. Though he finished second on the team with six targets, he produced next to nothing with the volume. While it's a bit concerning that other receivers in the offense proved plenty effective, Kirk clearly remains a big part of team's scheme, and that should continue into the regular season.

Target-less Thursday
Kirk wasn't targeted during Thursday's preseason win versus the Chargers.
Analysis: Although rookie QB Kyler Murray targeted five different receivers on the Cardinals' first possession, Kirk wasn't among them. Still, considering his performance in a listless offense last year -- a 43-590-3 line on 68 targets across 12 games -- interested parties shouldn't worry too much as the team transitions to a high-tempo scheme. Comfortable with air raid
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said Kirk has a good feel for the Cardinals' new offense, Mike Jurecki of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: As expected, Kirk's experience in an air raid offense at Texas A&M is proving useful as he learns Kingsbury's scheme. The second-year pro and Larry Fitzgerald are safe bets for regular snaps at wide receiver, while rookies Andy Isabella and Hakeem Butler will compete with Kevin White, Trent Sherfield, Chad Williams and Damiere Byrd. Kirk (foot) has been joined in the Cardinals' receiving corps by 2019 draftees Andy Isabella (62nd overall), Hakeem Butler (103rd) and KeeSean Johnson (174th).
Analysis: The incumbent group of wideouts is laden with slot receivers, namely Larry Fitzgerald and Kirk, so it's interesting to see only one outside candidate (Isabella) among the new recruits. Kirk likely doesn't have to worry about any of the trio too much when it comes to offensive snaps, of which he handled at least 85 percent in each of his final four games before his rookie season ended Week 13 due to a broken left foot. In a video on the team's official Twitter page earlier this offseason, he…read more

Nearly back to full health
Kirk (foot) said Wednesday that he expects to be fully healthy by the end of February.
Analysis: Kirk previously suggested he wouldn't face any limitations when the Cardinals hold OTAs in May, but the wideout is apparently going to be back to full strength well in advance of Arizona's offseason program. The fact that Kirk won't be forced to miss any workouts bodes well for his chances of gaining quick familiarity with new coach Kliff Kingsbury's offensive scheme. Prior to breaking his left foot in December and requiring surgery, Kirk had solidified himself as a starter for the Cardinals,…read more

Expects full recovery by OTAs
Kirk (foot) expects to be healthy by the start of OTAs in May, Bob McManaman of The Arizona Republic reports. "My recovery is going well and I'm on the road to being 100 percent here in the next couple of weeks," Kirk said. "I'll be 100 percent by OTAs, for sure."
Analysis: Prior to fracturing his left foot in Week 13, Kirk was cobbling together an impressive rookie campaign, finishing with 43 catches (on 68 targets) for 590 yards and three touchdowns. Once the diagnosis was confirmed Dec. 3, the 2018 second-round pick had a pin inserted into the outside of his foot, which sustained a clean break. His rehab so far has included running in a pool, taking part in biometric exercises and undergoing electric stimulation, massage and ice therapy at the Cardinals'…read more

Done for season with broken foot
Kirk suffered a broken foot and will be placed on injured reserve, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Analysis: The rookie second-round pick was removed in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 20-17 win over Green Bay, finishing with three catches for 54 yards and one carry for 23 yards. This is a huge loss for an offense that's already at the bottom of the league in most significant categories, as Kirk leads the team in receiving yards (590) and ranks second to Larry Fitzgerald for catches (43), targets (68) and receiving touchdowns (three). Kirk is a huge part of the organizational plan for 2019 and beyond,…read more

Compiles 77 yards from scrimmage
Kirk reeled in three of eight passes for 54 yards and took his sole carry for 23 yards during Sunday's 20-17 win at Green Bay.
Analysis: Kirk wasn't exactly on the same page with Josh Rosen for much of the afternoon. That said, two of his three receptions doubled as first downs, with the final one getting the Cardinals positioned for an eventual 44-yard field goal from Zane Gonzalez midway through the third quarter. With 77 yards from scrimmage, Kirk has racked up at least 75 such yards in five of 12 appearances as a rookie. On an unfortunate note, Kirk went to the locker room late in the game, potentially to have his left foot…read more

Makes four catches
Kirk caught four of six targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 45-10 loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Kirk led the team in targets and catches while contributing to nearly half of Josh Rosen's passing production on the day. Unfortunately, the signal caller finished with just over 100 passing yards on the day, limiting Kirk's potential to produce. He's totaled a respectable 536 receiving yards to this point in his rookie season, but efficiency and consistency have been hard to come by. He'll look to bounce back next Sunday against the Packers.

Gets into end zone for third time
Kirk hauled in three of four targets for 77 yards, including a 59-yard touchdown during Sunday's 23-21 loss to Oakland.
Analysis: The second-rounder from Texas A&M has enjoyed a mostly prosperous rookie campaign, but nearly all of his "start-worthy" fantasy outings come with a touchdown in tow. In three performances with a receiving score, Kirk is averaging 15.8 PPR points per game, compared to 8.0 points per game in performances without one. The numbers don't bear out that he's an all-or-nothing, touchdown-dependent asset, but he's not exactly a high-floor option that can be plugged into a WR2 slot without second…read more

Shut down by Kansas City secondary
Kirk caught just two of six targets, amounting eight yards during Sunday's 26-14 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: In Sunday's loss to Kansas City, the rookie wideout posted his worst receiving output since Sept. 9 when he debuted against Washington (four yards on one reception). Though he's been targeted a combined 26 times over Arizona's past four games, Kirk has hauled in just 53.9 percent of those attempts -- a drastic drop-off from 76 percent over the first five weeks of the season. A promising matchup approaches in Week 11, as Kirk and the Cardinals receiving corps will be opposing Oakland's bottom-10…read more
