Activated off PUP list
The Chiefs activated Nnadi (triceps) from the active/PUP list Tuesday, Matt McMullen of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Nnadi was placed on the PUP list at the start of training camp due to a triceps injury he sustained in the Chiefs' wild-card win over the Dolphins. The 2018 third-round pick out of Florida State played in all 17 regular-season games in 2023, finishing with 29 tackles (16 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and one pass defended. Now that he's healthy, Nnadi will look to get in reps with the first-team defense alongside fellow pass rushers George Karlaftis, Mike Danna and Chris Jones (shoulder).

Placed on PUP list
The Chiefs placed Nnadi (tricep) on the active/PUP list Wednesday.
Analysis: Nnadi suffered a left tricep injury during Kansas City's wild-card win over the Dolphins after suiting up for all 17 of the team's regular-season games, and he was sidelined during OTAs. The defensive tackle can be activated from the PUP list at any point throughout training camp, though at this time, it's unclear whether he'll be available for the Chiefs' preseason opener against Jacksonville on Aug. 10.

Re-signs with Kansas City
The Chiefs re-signed Nnadi (triceps) on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: Nnadi has spent all six of his seasons with the Chiefs and is now coming back for a seventh. He appeared in all 17 regular-season games last season but suffered a triceps injury seven snaps into the wild-card win over the Dolphins and missed the remainder of the playoffs. Reliable as anyone, Nnadi has missed just one career regular-season contest.

Shifts to IR
The Chiefs placed Nnadi (triceps) on injured reserve Friday.
Analysis: Nnadi had already been ruled out for the AFC Championship Game after sustaining a triceps injury during the Chiefs' wild-card win over the Dolphins. Now that he's been placed on IR, the veteran defensive tackle would also miss the Super Bowl if Kansas City were to advance. Both Neil Farrell and Tershawn Wharton could see increased time on the Chiefs' defensive line for the remainder of the team's playoff run.

Won't return Sunday
Nnadi (triceps) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Ravens.
Analysis: The 27-year-old was unable to practice all week, and he's now in line to miss his second consecutive game with this triceps issue. Nnadi is one of the Chiefs' best run defenders, and without him, Kansas City's defensive line could struggle to stop a Baltimore rushing attack that's averaging almost 154 rushing yards per game across 18 outings. Expect Neil Farrell and Tershawn Wharton to see increased reps at defensive tackle in Nnadi's stead.

Stays sidelined
Nnadi (triceps) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Analysis: Nnadi has been sidelined since suffering a triceps injury during Kansas City's wild-card win over the Dolphins. His continued inability to practice will likely leave him closer to doubtful for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Ravens. It'll also leave Tershawn Wharton and Neil Farrell looking at an uptick in opportunities on the field if Nnadi is unable to suit up.

Won't face Buffalo
Nnadi (triceps) is out for Sunday night's game against the Bills, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Nnadi was injured in the opening quarter of ast weekend's win over the Dolphins, and he's now going to miss the divisional-round tilt. He played over 45 percent of Kansas City's defensive snaps this season while starting all 17 regular-season games. Tershawn Wharton is likely the next man up alongside Chris Jones.

DNP on Wednesday due to elbow
Nnadi (elbow) won't practice Wednesday, Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest reports.
Analysis: Nnadi is still feeling the effects of an elbow injury suffered in the first quarter of this past Saturday's 26-7 win over the Dolphins in the wild-card round. Neil Farrell could fill in on the interior of the defensive line for Sunday's divisional round game in Buffalo if Nnadi remains unavailable.

Won't return to wild-card game
Nnadi (elbow) has been ruled out from re-entering Saturday's playoff game against Miami.
Analysis: Nnadi hurt his left elbow in the first quarter, and the issue is serious enough to keep him from returning to the wild-card matchup. Prior to being ruled out, he had posted one assisted tackle. With Nnadi unable to continue, Mike Pennel is likely to see more work on defense.

Analysis: Nnadi hurt his left arm in the first quarter and subsequently worked with an athletic trainer on the sideline, per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com. The defensive tackle notched one tackle prior to his exit. Mike Pennel could see an uptick in defensive snaps if Nnadi is unable to return.

Will stick with Kansas City
Kansas City agreed to re-sign Nnadi on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Nnadi started all 20 games for the Super Bowl champions last year and will return for a sixth season in Kansas City. The 2018 third-round pick has missed just one regular-season game across his first five NFL campaigns, totaling 193 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble.

Stays with Chiefs
Nnadi agreed to a contract with Kansas City on Sunday, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Analysis: The contract details are not yet known, but he'll remain with the team that selected him in the third round of the 2018 Draft. Nnadi is coming off a 2021 campaign in which he played all 17 regular-season games, recording 38 tackles (21 solo) and a career-high three sacks.

Back to full speed
Nnadi (hip) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Nnadi was limited Wednesday but quickly shook off the injury. The 2018 third-round pick will be ready for Sunday's matchup against the Chargers. Through two games, Nnadi has posted two solo tackles across 50 defensive snaps.

Limited at practice Wednesday
Nnadi (hip) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: The hip injury first cropped up in mid-August, but Nnadi has played in the first two games of the season and recorded two solo tackles in a rotational role. The 25-year-old should be able to avoid an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with the Chargers if he can put in a full practice Thursday or Friday.

injures hip in practice
Coach Andy Reid said Nnadi was dealing with a hip flexor ailment Thursday, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Nnadi played in 15 games last year, recording 47 tackles before a knee injury prevented him from hitting the field for the last game of the regular season. Minor hip flexor injuries tend to take one to three weeks to recover from, so Kansas City will likely take things slow with the fourth-year defensive tackle just to make sure he's ready to go for Week 1.

Considered questionable
Nnadi (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports.
Analysis: Nnadi suffered a knee injury during the practice week and sat out Friday's session. The third-year defensive tackle is in danger of missing the first game of his NFL career. He has 47 tackles through 15 games this year, one stop shy of tying last year's career high in the category.

Good to go
Nnadi (ankle) practiced in full Tuesday.
Analysis: Nnadi was limited by an ankle injury Tuesday, but he's now resumed participating in practice without restrictions. He'll draw his usual start at defensive tackle during Thursday's regular-season debut against the Texans, barring any setbacks.

Limited Monday
Nnadi (ankle) was a limited participant in Monday's practice.
Analysis: Nnadi will have two more opportunities to up his level of practice participation ahead of Thursday's season opener against the Texans. In the event that the starting defensive tackle is in any way limited Week 1, Khalen Saunders would stand to handle increased snaps.

Improves in sophomore campaign
Nnadi racked up 48 tackles (18 solo), a sack, an interception and a forced fumble during his 16-game 2019 campaign.
Analysis: Nnadi's improved production in his second professional season corresponded with an increase of more than 150 snaps recorded. With Chris Jones a candidate to hit free agency this offseason, there's a chance that Nnadi could slide into an even more prominent role on the defensive line next season. However, there's a good chance the Chiefs will extend Jones, which would likely result in a similar role for Nnadi next season.

Grabs first career interception
Nnadi recorded one assisted tackle and an interception in Monday night's win over the Chargers.
Analysis: The play was more of a sack-fumble, but the ball fell from Philip Rivers' hand directly into Nnadi's and was ruled an interception. The 23-year-old is up to 38 tackles (15 solo) on the year.
