Placed on IR
The Chargers placed White on injured reserve Wednesday with a hamstring injury.
Analysis: White picked up the injury during last Thursday's win over the Raiders. Though initial reports suggested that the injury wasn't overly serious, White's placement on IR means that he'll miss the remainder of the season. Look for Nick Vigil and B.J. Bello to see increased snaps in White's stead.

Dealing with injury
Coach Anthony Lynn said Friday that White (undisclosed) is injured, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: White appears to have picked up an undisclosed injury during Thursday's 30-27 overtime win over the Raiders, but Lynn said that his issue isn't "too serious." The third-year pro will work to get healthy in time to face the Broncos on Dec. 27.

Leads team in tackles
White recorded seven tackles (five solo) across 43 defensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Falcons.
Analysis: White missed the past three games after being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but made an immediate impact in his return to the field -- leading the team in tackles Sunday. Despite missing a handful of contests, White is easily putting up the best numbers of his young career as he now has 75 tackles (48 solo) across 10 games on the year.

All clear from COVID-19
The Chargers activated White from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: White had resided on the list since Nov. 21, but the linebacker was spotted practicing with the team Wednesday, evidencing he's gained clearance. If White suits up in Sunday's game against the Falcons, he'll likely assume his usual depth role at linebacker.

Lands on COVID-19 list
White (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
Analysis: The move means White either tested positive for the virus or came in close contact of an infected individual. Emeke Egbule or Nick Vigil figures to see increased snaps during his absence.

Mundane outing
White managed just six tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 29-21 loss to the Dolphins.
Analysis: Sunday marked the fourth consecutive game in which White failed to record double-digit tackles, although he was able to pressure Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on three separate occasions. Despite Kenneth Murray still seeing an overwhelming majority of the snaps at middle linebacker, White has still accumulated more tackles over the past month (23), although neither boasts a particularly impressive figure. Things might look a little better next week with the run-oriented Jets set to face…read more

First career sack
White recorded seven tackles (two solo) and split a sack during Sunday's 39-29 win against the Jaguars.
Analysis: White managed to split his first career sack with defensive end Isaac Rochell during the fourth quarter. While this was certainly a nice moment, it was surprising to see Kenneth Murray play all 100 percent of the defensive snaps, with White only registering 81, and what's worse, Sunday was the first time White did not register double-digit tackles since Week 2. The two have essentially flip-flopped the respective snap counts throughout the season, although both have been a critical factor in…read more

Posts 15 tackles
White registered 15 tackles (10 solo) in the 30-27 overtime loss to the Saints on Monday.
Analysis: White currently ranks sixth among linebackers (45) in tackles through five weeks, with Monday's contest amounting to the third straight game with at least 10 tackles for the third-year linebacker. At this point, it's clear White is among the more valuable IDP assets in the league and he could be due for an interception in the near future given his role as an underneath coverage option.

Tallies 10 tackles
White recorded 10 tackles and one pass defended in the team's Week 4 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: White tied for the team lead in tackles, reaching double digits for the second consecutive contest. Unsurprisingly, he was a key piece of the Chargers' defense, remaining on the field for all 76 snaps.

Another solid tackling day
White tallied 11 tackles (eight solo) in Sunday's 21-16 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: It was White, not Kenneth Murray, who once again played nearly 100 percent of the team's defensive snaps, cementing the coverage linebacker as a clear option for IDP users even in shallower formats. A suspect run defense as of late could force the Chargers to reconfigure their starting lineup, but those changes likely won't impact White, who appears locked in as the team's preferred three-down linebacker.

Sees major playing-time boost
White registered nine (five solo) tackles in Sunday's overtime loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: There was some thought Denzel Perryman would return to IDP prominence after nominal starter, Drue Tranquill (ankle), was placed on season-ending injured reserve last week, but it was White who ended up playing the entirety of Sunday's contest. Considering White's prowess as a pass-coverage linebacker, the playing-time breakdown shouldn't be too surprising, but it does reinforce the fact White should be considered in most deeper IDP formats moving forward.

Pushing for larger role
White recorded 40 tackles (25 solo) and an interception across 16 games in the 2019 season.
Analysis: After injuries cut White's rookie campaign short, the linebacker put together a relatively impressive second season despite playing less than 400 total snaps. Regarded as one of the more nimble linebackers in the NFL, White's speed was evident, especially when dropping back into coverage, a fact that eventually pushed nominal starting middle linebacker Denzel Perryman into a two-down role. Weighing just 218 pounds, the 23-year-old doesn't have the prototypical size to be an everyday middle…read more
