Just one reception Monday
Johnson had one reception for one yard across three targets in Monday's 37-30 loss to Seattle.
Analysis: A week after leading the Vikings in targets while Adam Thielen (hamstring) was out, Johnson wasn't as big a factor in the passing game, despite starting opposite Stefon Diggs. The rookie could have a larger role Week 14 against Detroit if Thielen's injury keeps him sidelined for a fourth straight game.

Leads team in targets
Johnson reeled in five of nine targets for 35 yards during Sunday's 27-23 win over Denver.
Analysis: With Denver sliding coverage over to Stefon Diggs -- arguably not often enough -- Johnson was given plenty of one-on-one opportunities short during Sunday's game, though he was unable to get loose up the field like some of his teammates. The rookie seventh-round pick has outplayed his draft position, but he hasn't been much of a threat downfield and hasn't put together any big performances in place of Adam Thielen (hamstring). Thielen's status coming out of the bye week will be important to…read more

Starting again Sunday
Johnson is starting for Adam Thielen (hamstring) on Sunday against the Broncos.
Analysis: Although Johnson has received at least 71 percent of the offensive snaps in four consecutive games, he's managed to haul in just nine of 16 passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns during that stretch. Expect a similar workload for Johnson in Week 11, but he may find it difficult to produce against a Denver defense that has conceded the fifth-fewest TDs (five) and seventh-fewest YPT (7.4) to wideouts this season.

Just two receptions Sunday
Johnson started opposite Stefon Diggs at receiver and had two receptions for 25 yards on four targets in Sunday's win at Dallas.
Analysis: Minnesota's run-heavy approach limited the passes to wide receivers as just 11 of 30 targets went to wideouts. Johnson could remain the No. 2 receiver if Adam Thielen (hamstring) remains out next week against Denver.

Set for key role again
Johnson's teammate Adam Thielen (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game in Dallas.
Analysis: With Thielen either inactive or suffering an in-game injury the past three weeks, Johnson has played 71, 74 and 83 percent of snaps, catching seven of 12 targets for 71 yards and two touchdowns. The target volume hasn't been encouraging, but he at least figures to see a lot of playing time Sunday night in Dallas.

Just two targets but TD
Johnson had a four-yard touchdown reception on his lone catch on two targets in Sunday's 26-23 loss at Kansas City.
Analysis: The Vikings perplexingly utilized Laquon Treadwell in the passing game (five targets) after Adam Thielen aggravated a hamstring injury more than Johnson. However, Johnson salvaged his game with a touchdown catch. Johnson should still be seen as the No. 2 receiver if Thielen is out next week as he played 58 snaps on offense to Treadwell's 19 snaps.

Pair of catches in Thielen's stead
Johnson secured both his targets for 27 yards in the Vikings' 19-9 win over the Redskins on Thursday.
Analysis: Johnson saw expanded opportunity in place of Adam Thielen (hamstring), but his contributions weren't needed too much on a night when Stefon Diggs and Dalvin Cook combined for 12 receptions and 216 yards. Johnson has been a solid performer in his rookie campaign, posting a 15-161-1 line through five games. He'll revert to a reserve role if Thielen is ready to suit up for a Week 9 matchup against the Chiefs a week from Sunday.

More snaps on tap
Johnson is in line for an elevated role with Adam Thielen (hamstring) ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Redskins, Courtney Cronin of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Johnson has been a part of the Vikings' wide receiver rotation since Week 4, but his usage ballooned this past Sunday at Detroit when Thielen departed with a right hamstring injury. Overall, Johnson has averaged 7.8 YPT while hauling in 13 of his 17 targets in four appearances. The 2019 seventh-round pick will look for his most-productive outing as a pro Thursday versus Washington's 12th-ranked pass defense.
