Pre-Season Outlook
Reynolds, 29, is entering his seventh NFL season and fifth year with the Lions, after serving as the No. 3 RB behind Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery in 2023 and 2024. It's a role that hasn't entailed many touches, with the Lions instead allowing Gibbs to dominate backfield work when Montgomery has missed time with injuries. That's unlikely to change in 2025, which means Reynolds won't have considerable fantasy value unless both Gibbs and Montgomery are absent at the same time. If that were to happen, however, Reynolds would find himself in an excellent position to pile up yards and touchdowns, running behind one of the top offensive lines in the league. Competition for the No. 3 job appears limited, although 2024 fourth-round pick Sione Vaki could make a push to unseat Reynolds this summer.

Returning to Detroit
The Lions re-signed Reynolds to a one-year contract Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
