Heads to free agency
The Panthers released Hajrullahu on Monday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Hajrullahu will hit the open market and be free to start looking for a new landing spot as soon as the transaction of his release is processed. The CFL standout still is waiting for a chance to make his NFL debut.

Garners future contract
The Panthers signed Hajrullahu to a reserve/future contract Monday, Will Bryan of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The Panthers attempted to sign Hajrullahu -- a CFL standout -- to the practice squad in December, but the kicker ran into visa issues and couldn't leave Canada. Things should be sorted out by the time the offseason program begins, and Hajrullahu may push Joey Slye for the starting kicker role in 2021.

Waived from practice squad
The Panthers waived Hajrullahu from the practice squad Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Hajrullahu was signed by the Panthers last week. His work visa ran into issues, though, and he won't be eligible to play this season. The CFL star will look to make an NFL team in the 2021 campaign.

Links with Panthers' practice squad
The Panthers signed Hajrullahu to the practice squad Wednesday, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Analysis: Hajrullahu's opportunity with the Panthers comes in the wake of Joey Slye having missed two kicks against the Vikings in Week 12. The former CFL standout will look to impress during his time on the practice squad.

Visits Carolina
The Panthers hosted Hajrullahu for a visit Thursday, Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports.
Analysis: The Panthers could be looking to kick the tires on a new kicking option after Joey Slye missed two kicks in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, as they brought in Hajrullahu and Chandler Catanzaro for visits Thursday. Hajrullahu was a former CFL standout after his time in Western Ontario University, and he could garner a spot on the roster if he manages to impress the coaching staff.

Getting tryout with Eagles
Hajrullahu is scheduled to attend a workout with the Eagles, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: Hajrullahu spent time with the Rams this offseason, but he wasn't able to parlay his opportunity into a spot on the active roster. The former CFL standout could tentatively garner a spot on Philadelphia's practice squad, if he manages to impress during his workout.

Waived by Rams
Hajrullahu has been waived by the Rams.
Analysis: As was Austin MacGinnis, meaning that the Rams have decided to proceed with Sam Sloman as their kicker heading into Week 1. Hajrullahu will thus look to land an opportunity elsewhere or perhaps even on the L.A.'s practice squad.

Loses out to Sloman
The Rams are planning to go with Sam Sloman as their kicker over Hajrullahu and Austin MacGinnis, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The three had been competing for the job, but ultimately the team went with Sloman, a seventh-round draft pick. Hajrullahu is thus presumably slated to join the ranks of the kickers without teams, once league-wide cut-downs start rolling in.

Leading three-way battle?
Hajrullahu appears to hold the lead in the Rams' kicker competition, but he missed three of his eight field-goal attempts in Saturday's scrimmage, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: It isn't all bad news for the CFL veteran Hajrullahu, as Sam Sloman also missed three kicks and Austin MacGinnis missed two. It sounds like the three-way competition is still wide-open with the Rams now two weeks away from their season opener against the Cowboys.
