Although Washington's pass defense is among the league's weakest, it's still reassuring to see Lamb post this clean box score with his backup quarterback, especially after a slow start to the season. Lamb will need to keep playing well to maintain his momentum against the Rams in Week 5 -- a matchup where hopefully he can avoid the coverage of Jalen Ramsey as much as possible.

Overcomes early drop

Lamb recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 23-16 win over the Giants.

Analysis: Lamb dropped a deep pass that would have gone for at least a 40-yard gain and potentially a touchdown late in the second quarter. Analysis: The Cowboys' passing game didn't need to do much after three early Cincinnati fumbles led to 17 first-half points for Dallas, but Lamb made the most of his limited opportunities. The two targets were a season low for the rookie, and he hasn't reached 50 receiving yards in four straight games heading into Week 15's clash with the 49ers.

Lamb caught four of seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-19 loss to the Steelers.

Analysis: The switch to Garrett Gilbert at quarterback restored a bit of a spark to the Cowboys' passing game, and Lamb put together his best performance since Dak Prescott (ankle) was injured, with his second-quarter TD giving the Cowboys a surprising 10-0 lead that eventually evaporated. Despite the turmoil around him, the rookie wideout continues to impress, but whether Gilbert or Andy Dalton (concussion/illness) will be throwing him passes coming out of the team's Week 10 bye remains to be seen.

Lamb made a big impression during individual drills Friday by making a spectacular one-handed grab, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: While the catch itself was noteworthy enough, Lamb also got a chance to showcase his elite body control as he adjusted to a throw that was high and behind him. The rookie also took reps as a punt returner, but it's his ability as a receiver in a potentially high-volume Dallas passing game that gives Lamb such intrigue as a fantasy asset, even with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup ahead of him on the depth chart.
