Misses two kicks
Blankenship missed two of four field-goal attempts but made both of his extra-point tries in Sunday's 28-14 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: Blankenship converted his short kicks, splitting the uprights from 22 and 24 yards, but misfired from 56 yards right before halftime and 49 yards on the Colts' first drive after. Despite those misses, Blankenship still finished the regular season with 139 points, ranking fifth league-wide among kickers as a rookie.

Converts four kicks
Blankenship made his lone field-goal attempt and all three extra-point tries in Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Blankenship made a 28-yard chip shot to start the third quarter, marking his only field-goal attempt of the day. The rookie has now made 30 of 33 field-goal tries this season, including 10 of 12 attempts from beyond 40 yards. Even if the Colts fall short of the playoffs, finding their kicker of the future is a bright spot this season.

Drills 53-yarder
Blankenship connected on both field-goal attempts and all three extra-point tries in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Texans.
Analysis: Blankenship nailed a 35-yarder on the first drive of the second quarter, and he drilled a 53-yarder on the next drive, marking a career long with his first made field goal from beyond 50 yards. The rookie is in the race for the most points in the league, as his 125 ties him for second and has him just eight points shy of Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo.

Converts on eight kicks
Blankenship made three field-goal attempts and five extra-point tries in Sunday's 44-27 win over the Raiders.
Analysis: The Colts torched the Raiders on the ground and through the air, allowing Blankenship to put up 14 points. All of his field goals came from within 40 yards, but it was a significant feat nonetheless. The rookie now ranks fourth in the league with 116 points through 13 games.

Drills four kicks
Blankenship made a 42-yard field goal and all three extra-point attempts in Sunday's 26-20 win over the Texans.
Analysis: The Colts' offense was effective against a depleted Texans defense, leaving minimal opportunities for Blankenship. He was perfect once again, marking the fourth time in five games the rookie didn't miss a kick. However, Blankenship tried more than one field goal in just two of those games. He's been tough to depend on lately, but he's intriguing again in Week 14 against the Raiders, which allowed 28 points to the Jets in Week 13.

Minimal usage in blowout loss
Blankenship didn't attempt a field goal but made both extra-point attempts in Sunday's 45-26 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: The Colts scored touchdowns on each of their first two drives, and Blankenship followed up each score with an extra point. By the time the Colts found the end zone again, they were down by 18 and in need of two-point conversions. It was an unlucky game script for Blankenship's fantasy managers. He's still a must-start option with the next three games in dome settings.

Nails game-winning kick
Blankenship made four of five field-goal attempts and both extra-point tries in Sunday's 34-31 overtime win against the Packers.
Analysis: Three field goals in the second half helped the Colts overcome an 11-point halftime deficit and force overtime, and the rookie kicker connected on his fourth of the day from 39 yards in the extra period to secure the team's seventh win of the year. The rookie kicker is now tied with Daniel Carlson for the league high in points (94), and he won't kick in an outdoor setting until Week 16.

Drills both kicks Sunday
Blankenship made a 43-yard field goal and his lone extra-point in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: Blankenship led the league in points through the first six games, but he took a sharp turn following the Week 7 bye, making just one field goal and four extra points -- he missed two attempts last week -- over the past two contests. The Colts' offense continues to be mediocre, but it should provide more opportunities for Blankenship in Week 10, as the Titans have allowed an average of 25.1 points per game this year.

Misses two PATs
Blankenship converted three of five extra-point attempts during Sunday's 41-21 win over the Lions.
Analysis: The 23-year-old struggled mightily coming out of the bye week, as he pushed two PATs wide right. Blankenship didn't attempt any field goals, but he still could have had a six-point day if he converts the PATs, as the Colts opted for a two-point conversion after his first miss. Blankenship is 16-for-18 on field-goal attempts and 18-for-20 on extra-point attempts this season, and Sunday's performance could put him on thin ice if he struggles again next week versus the Ravens.

Nails another five kicks
Blankenship hit a 40-yard field goal and all four extra-point attempts in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Bengals.
Analysis: Blankenship was perfect for a third straight week, but this was the first time in the undrafted rookie's career that he made fewer than two field goals in a game. It was a solid fantasy day for the Georgia product nonetheless, as he extended his league-high point tally to 63, outpacing Justin Tucker by four. The Colts have a Week 7 bye, which leaves fantasy managers in a tough position on whether to drop him or utilize a bench spot for him. There's only a handful of kickers who qualify to be…read more

Perfect on five kicks
Blankenship made all five kicks -- three field goals and two extra points -- in Sunday's 32-23 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Blankenship has only missed one field goal from less than 40 yards this season, and he connected on all three from that range Sunday. Colts faithful should be excited to have some stability at the position after legend Adam Vinatieri's disappointing 2019 season, as Blankenship leads the league with 56 points through five games. Even with the Colts' offense being underwhelming, Blankenship is producing and should be universally rostered and started Week 6 against the Bengals.

Registers 13 points
Blankenship hit all four field goals and his lone extra-point attempt in Sunday's 19-11 win over the Bears.
Analysis: The undrafted rookie has been a solid contributor for the Colts, as he's made all nine extra points this season and 12 of 14 field goals (86 percent). Blankenship's work from distance has been solid, too, hitting four of five kicks from beyond 40 yards. It's tough being tied to the Colts' mediocre offense, but a Week 5 matchup against the Browns should yield fantasy dividends, as the Browns have allowed the eighth-most total yards (402) in the league.

Converts six kicks
Blankenship made two of three field-goal attempts and all four extra-point attempts during Sunday's 36-7 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Blankenship converted field goals from 42 and 41 yards Sunday, but he hit the right upright from 41 yards on his miss. It was still a productive day for the 23-year-old, and he's 8-for-10 on field-goal attempts and 8-for-8 on extra-point attempts through three games. A matchup with the Bears in Week 4 represents the toughest defensive test for the Colts in the young season.

Hits all six kicks
Blankenship connected on all four field goals and two extra points in Sunday's 28-11 win over the Vikings.
Analysis: Blankenship missed a 30-yard field goal in Week 1, but the undrafted free agent bounced back with perfection against Minnesota, including a 44-yard field goal. The Colts have moved the ball well with Philip Rivers under center, and they draw another favorable matchup in Week 3 with the Jets coming to town.

Misses short FG in debut
Blankenship made two of three field goal attempts, missing from 30 yards, in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville. He converted both extra-point attempts.
Analysis: It's concerning that Blankenship missed a short field goal in a close game considering the undrafted rookie likely doesn't have a strong hold on the job. He likely cannot afford many more missteps early in the season.

Wins kicking job
Blankenship will be the Colts' kicker to begin the season after Chase McLaughlin was waived Saturday, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Blakenship outperformed McLaughlin during the team's scrimmage last week, which seemed to be the difference maker in an otherwise tight competition throughout training camp. The Georgia product was a standout kicker at the collegiate level, making 80 of his 97 career field-goal attempts, but he didn't wind up getting drafted. That ultimately might have been a blessing in disguise, as Blankenship should now be set to take over for long-time Colt Adam Vinatieri at the pivotal position.…read more

Kicking battle remains close
Blankenship outperformed veteran Chase McLaughlin in Saturday's scrimmage, making six of seven field goals, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Analysis: Blankenship made kicks of 33, 37, 41, 52, 56 and 57 yards and missed from 48. McLaughlin made four of seven kicks, missing from 48, 52 and 56 yards. McLaughlin had performed better than Blankenship in the first scrimmage, so the battle for the placekicking job remains close. However, McLaughlin is still the favorite as a veteran since he made five of six field-goal attempts and all 11 PATs in his stint with the Colts last season.

Falling behind in kicker battle
Blankenship was 5-for-8 in field-goal attempts during Monday's practice at Lucas Oil Stadium, with misses from 39, 44 and 53 yards and appears behind Chase McLaughlin in the competition for the placekicker job, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Blankenship, who joined the Colts after a prolific college career at Georgia, entered training camp as an underdog to unseat McLaughlin, and it sounds like he's falling behind in the competition. Still, the Colts may not name a starter until close to the start of the regular season.

Still in kicker competition
Blankenship and Chase McLaughlin are in a tight battle for the Colts' starting kicker job, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
Analysis: McLaughlin made the rounds last year, playing a handful of games with the Chargers and 49ers, but he ultimately ended the year by suiting up for four games with the Colts. During that stretch, he connected on five of six field goals, including two from beyond 50 yards. That may give him a modest incumbent's edge in this kicking competition, but Blankenship has reportedly won a few days during training camp as well. Blankenship, a Georgia product, converted on 82 percent of his field goals and…read more
