Nets negative-one yard Week 13
Bowden hauled in his only target for five yards during Sunday's 33-28 defeat against Detroit. He also logged two rushes for minus-6 yards.
Analysis: Bowden continued to fill the role usually occupied by starting wideout Rashid Shaheed, who was ruled inactive Sunday while dealing a thigh issue sustained Week 12. As a result, the 26-year-old backup receiver played a season-high 48 offensive snaps. He also once again got involved in the rushing game as an option on end-around and stretch runs, seeing two carries early in the fourth quarter. But he was stopped for a 10-yard loss on his second carry, and he then did not factor in for the…read more

Steps up in injured receiving corps
Bowden failed to catch either of his two targets during Sunday's 24-15 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: Bowden saw his most significant usage of the season to help fill in for the Saints' injury-riddled receiving corps. With Michael Thomas (knee) already on injured reserve, New Orleans became extremely short handed after Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (thigh) were both forced out with injuries. As a result, Bowden played a season-high 46 offensive snaps and went on to account for his team's third-longest play from scrimmage on a 29-yard carry in the fourth quarter. Joins active roster
New Orleans signed Bowden to its 53-man roster Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: A little more than two weeks after being cut from the practice squad, Bowden has now found his way onto the active roster. As long as Chris Olave, Michael Thomas and Rashid Shaheed remain healthy though, there's not going to be many targets left for the Saints' other wideouts.

Cut by New Orleans
The Saints waived Bowden on Tuesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
Analysis: Bowden signed with the Saints in mid-June, but he was unable to make enough of an impact to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. He's struggled to find a role in the NFL over the past few seasons, as he spent time with the Raiders, Dolphins and Patriots before joining the Saints this summer. It's unclear whether he'll draw interest from other clubs ahead of the 2023 campaign.

Solid preseason outing Sunday
Bowden caught two of his three targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 22-17 preseason victory over the Chargers.
Analysis: Bowden caught back-to-back passes on the Saints' third offensive series, including a 32-yard catch-and-run on a screen pass from quarterback Jameis Winston. Additionally, the 25-year-old wideout handled return duties for the Saints, totaling two kickoff returns for 41 yards while also fielding four punts for 13 yards and a fair catch. Bowden's ability to create yards after catch combined with his value as a potential returner could go a long way toward carving out a role with New Orleans…read more

Links up with New Orleans
Bowden signed with the Saints on Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Bowden has struggled to gain his footing in the NFL since getting selected in the third round of the 2020 Draft by the Raiders. He was traded to the Dolphins before his rookie campaign began and made 28 receptions on 37 targets for 211 yards during his initial season. A hamstring injury ruined his 2021 and he spent all but one game on the Patriots practice squad in 2022. He'll now work to gain that footing with the Saints this season.

Let go by New England
The Patriots waived Bowden on Wednesday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Bowden, who was active for just one contest with the Patriots last season, spent the bulk of the 2022 campaign on the team's practice squad. The 2020 third-round selection will now look to parlay his versatility into another NFL opportunity.

Inks futures deal
The Patriots signed Bowden to a reserve/future contract Monday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Bowden, a 2020 third-round pick by the Raiders, spent the entire 2022 campaign on the Patriots' practice squad. He saw just one elevation (Week 9) but failed to garner a target across 14 offensive snaps. With his new contract, he'll be able to stick around New England's organization and compete for a roster spot during the offseason.

Goes back to practice squad
Bowden reverted to the Patriots' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: Bowden received his first elevation to the active roster this season prior to Sunday's Week 9 win over Indianapolis and played on 14 of the team's 63 offensive snaps. However, he didn't record any touches or targets. Bowden has a versatile skill set, but he's still looking to regain a consistent spot on an NFL roster after missing all of last season with a hamstring injury.

Elevated to active roster
Bowden was elevated from the Patriots' practice squad to the active roster on Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Bowden has spent the entire season on the Patriots' practice squad and has yet to be active for a game. However, with DeVante Parker (knee) ruled out, Bowden is poised to serve as depth among the team's receiving corps for Sunday's game against the Colts. He's most likely to see the field on special teams.

Lands on Pats' practice squad
Bowden signed a contract with New England's practice squad Thursday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Bowden was waived by the Dolphins on Monday after he failed to carve out a spot in the team's relatively deep corps of wideouts this preseason. The 24-year-old has played multiple offensive positions -- including quarterback, running back and wideout -- dating back to his college days with Kentucky. Bowden will likely need to work his way into a similar multi-positional role in order to secure a spot on New England's active roster.

Cut loose by Dolphins
The Dolphins waived Bowden on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Bowden offers versatility as a former college QB who has played running back and slot receiver in addition to returning kicks at times. He may not be skilled enough at one task to warrant a roster spot in Miami, but other teams could be interested in taking a look. Bowden was a third-round pick of the Raiders in 2020.

Trade candidate?
The Dolphins have engaged in discussions about trading Bowden, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Bowden and fellow incumbent wideout Preston Williams have both had their reps in training camp limited due to impressive showings by rookies Erik Ezukanma (fourth round) and Braylon Sanders (UDFA). Bowden's acumen on special teams should give him a leg up over Williams in terms of competing for a roster spot, but neither player has a clear path to offensive snaps in Miami's revamped receiver corps, so it's conceivable that an organization with poor depth at the position, such as Dallas, could…read more

Competing for roster spot
Alain Poupart of Sports Illustrated predicts that Bowden's versatility will land him a roster spot with the Dolphins this coming season.
Analysis: Bowden, who didn't play last season due to a hamstring injury, was sidelined during a portion of the team's OTAs, but he subsequently was able to re-take the field and should be ready to compete fully in training camp. While the 24-year-old's path to steady touches in Miami's offense is murky, Poupart suggests that Bowden's diverse skill set should land him a depth role in the team's re-tooled wideout corps, which also includes top options Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, along with Cedrick…read more

Still dealing with hamstring issue
Bowden (hamstring) isn't participating during the Dolphins' OTAs, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Bowden suffered a hamstring injury during training camp last year and was ultimately placed on injured reserve for the entire season. Health isn't the 2020 third-round pick's only concern, however, as he also faces competition for a roster spot after the Dolphins acquired Tyreek Hill via trade this offseason and drafted Erik Ezukanma in the fourth round. Facing competition for roster spot
Bowden (hamstring) will face competition from rookie fourth-round pick Erik Ezukanma this offseason, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Analysis: Bowden, who spent the entire 2021 season sidelined due to a hamstring injury, very realistically could be on the roster bubble for Miami's new coaching staff. The 24-year-old flashed some competence as a rookie in 2020, when he racked up 28 catches for 211 yards on 37 targets through 10 appearances, but he now faces competition for even a depth gig from all of Ezukanma, Preston Williams and Trent Sherfield.

Bowden (hamstring) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday and reverted to injured reserve, The Orange County Register reports.

Bowden (illness) was moved to the reserve/COVID-19 list from IR on Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Bowden was already out for the season with a hamstring injury suffered in practice during training camp. Any rehabbing at the Dolphins' facility that he is doing will have to pause until he can clear COVID protocols. Once cleared, he'll return to preparing for the 2022 season.

Bowden (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Dolphins would've waited a week if they wanted the option to bring Bowden back later this season. As is, he'll be ineligible for the entire season if he remains with the Dolphins, only able to return if he agrees to an injury settlement and gets released. No go Saturday
Bowden (hamstring) was listed as not expected to play on the Dolphins' injury report before Saturday's preseason game.
Analysis: Bowden suffered a hamstring strain during Thursday's practice and didn't play in the Dolphins' second exhibition. An MRI revealed that the hamstring wasn't fully torn, but the injury could still keep him out for an extended time. With Miami signing Will Fuller and drafting Jaylen Waddle this offseason, Bowden's stock has slipped significantly, and he now may be in jeopardy of missing the regular-season roster.

Nursing hamstring strain
Bowden suffered a hamstring strain during Thursday's practice, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Bowden underwent an MRI to diagnose the full severity of his injury, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, but the tests did not reveal a full tear. While that's good news for Bowden's recovery timetable, it puts the Dolphins in position to make a difficult roster decision. The second-year pro boasts versatility and elusiveness, but there aren't enough depth spots to go around at wide receiver, and hamstring injuries can be tricky to fully shake.

Limps off Thursday
Bowden suffered an apparent leg injury at Thursday's practice, Joe Schad of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Analysis: Bowden was holding his right leg or hamstring as he limped off the practice field. Though Bowden was solid when called upon for limited action last season, he now finds himself fighting for a roster spot in Miami's deep receiving corps. If Bowden ends up missing preseason action, with Saturday's exhibition matchup against Atlanta right around the corner, it could harm his chances of securing a depth role.

Roster spot not guaranteed
Bowden is competing for a spot on Miami's regular-season roster, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Analysis: Bowden flashed in limited opportunities as a rookie, when he secured 28 of 37 targets for 221 yards across 10 contests. The 2020 third-round pick also logged nine carries for 32 yards. Despite the versatility and elusiveness Bowden already has demonstrated at the NFL level, Miami's newly revamped wide receiver corps has enough depth that there may not be enough roster spots to go around. Career-high targets in finale
Bowden secured eight of 12 targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 56-26 loss to Buffalo.
Analysis: Bowden also lost seven yards on his only carry. The rookie third-round pick wasn't tremendously effective upon being thrust into a key offensive role with Jakeem Grant (ankle) sidelined, but it's at least been encouraging to see the Dolphins' coaching staff trust him with such important duties down the stretch. Just two catches in narrow win
Bowden secured two of three targets for eight yards during Saturday's 26-25 win over the Raiders. He also carried the ball once for eight yards.
Analysis: Bowden worked behind all of Jakeem Grant, Mack Hollins and Isaiah Ford in Miami's wide receiver corps Saturday, even with DeVante Parker (hamstring) sidelined. The rookie third-round pick has flashed real pass-catching ability, but he's not yet involved on offense with enough consistency to warrant fantasy consideration outside of deep formats.

Six catches as de facto No. 1 WR
Bowden secured six of seven targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 22-12 win over the Patriots.
Analysis: Bowden led the team in targets with DeVante Parker (hamstring), Mike Gesicki (shoulder) and Jakeem Grant (hamstring) all sidelined Sunday, and he managed fair fantasy production in PPR formats despite being limited to mediocre yardage. Depending on the health of Miami's receiving corps when Dec. 26's game against the Raiders rolls around, the rookie third-round pick could play another notable role on offense.

Could headline Week 15 WR corps
Bowden is in line to see more opportunities Sunday against the Patriots with fellow receivers DeVante Parker (hamstring) and Jakeem Grant (hamstring) both inactive for the contest, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Tight end Mike Gesicki (shoulder) is also out, so the Dolphins will need to turn to the likes of Bowden, Mack Hollins, Antonio Callaway, Malcolm Perry and Isaiah Ford to help out in the team's passing game. In last week's loss to Kansas City, Bowden logged a career-high seven catches (on nine targets) for 82 yards.

Leading receiver in Week 14 loss
Bowden caught seven of nine targets for 82 yards in Sunday's 33-27 loss to Kansas City. He also had a two-yard run and an incomplete pass.
Analysis: Bowden led the Dolphins in catches and receiving yards while tying Mack Hollins for the team lead in targets, as fellow pass-catchers DeVante Parker (leg), Mike Gesicki (shoulder) and Jakeem Grant (leg) all left the game with injuries. Bowden rushed once for 11 yards and secured all four targets for 41 yards in the Dolphins' 19-7 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Analysis: Bowden hadn't seen an offensive touch since Week 5 against the 49ers, but with all of Matt Breida (reserve/COVID-19), DeAndre Washington (hamstring) and Salvon Ahmed (shoulder) out of action Sunday, the rookie saw his most extensive opportunity of the season and made good use of it. Bowden was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday.

Prior to landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list Nov. 6, Bowden had compiled just five total offensive touches for an ouptut of eight scrimmage yards. Analysis: Bowden missed last week's game while on the COVID list and was a healthy scratch the week before. The Dolphins placed Bowden on the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, Travis Wingfield of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Bowden has either tested positive for the virus or come into close contact with an infected person, and he won't play Sunday against the Cardinals. The rookie third-rounder will need to clear the necessary protocols before returning to team activities. Bowden (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game versus the Rams, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

No chances on offense
Bowden did not garner a single rush attempt or target during Sunday's 24-0 win against the Jets.
Analysis: The third-round rookie fielded five offensive snaps against Gang Green, which is near his typical level of involvement. But Week 6 marked the first time in four appearances this season that Bowden went without a touch. He's been a peripheral contributor in his debut NFL season out of Kentucky, with four total rush attempts and just one reception, and he's expected to resume that role once Miami returns from its Week 7 bye to take on the Rams.

Three rushes in romping of 49ers
Bowden registered four rushing yards on three carries during Sunday's 43-17 win against San Francisco.
Analysis: The third-round rookie logged his first career start in Miami's Week 5 rout, also playing a season-high 15 percent of the offensive snaps. Over the course of the year, he's been more involved in the rushing realm (four carries) than as a receiver (one target) on his limited workload. For Kentucky in 2018, Bowden collected 67 receptions to nine rush attempts, but in his final collegiate season last year, he ran for 7.9 yards per carry on 185 attempts while only registering 30 catches.

Takes first career carry
Bowden had one carry for five yards during Sunday's 31-23 loss to the Seahawks.
Analysis: Miami's running game clearly runs through Myles Gaskin with Matt Breida as his backup, but it's encouraging to see the team slowly working Bowden in on offense. The rookie previously had one catch as a wide receiver in Week 2, so while his current depth role doesn't forebode fantasy production in the immediate future, a prospect with his versatility is worth monitoring in keeper and dynasty formats.

Bowden (coach's decision) is inactive for Thursday's game against the Jaguars.

Makes first NFL catch
Bowden secured his only target for a loss of one yard during Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: Bowden was one of nine Dolphins to catch a pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick during the Week 2 loss. Bowden, whom the Dolphins acquired from the Raiders on Saturday, is expected to serve primarily as a receiver during his rookie season, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Wolfe notes that Bowden will wear jersey No. 15 for Miami, which supports the notion that he'll be playing receiver rather than running back, where the Raiders had planned for him to begin his career. Analysis: The move is a surprising one after the Raiders invested a 2020 third-rounder for the Kentucky product back in April.
