Still limited at practice Friday
Baun (hand) was a limited participant at practice Friday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
Analysis: Baun was a surprise addition to the Eagles' injury report Thursday with a hand issue, and he's still not at 100 percent as the team continues its preparations for Week 14. He'll probably have to practice in full Saturday to avoid carrying an injury designation ahead of Monday's game against the Chargers.

Dealing with hand injury
Baun (hand) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session.
Analysis: The issue appears to be new for the inside linebacker, though his ability to practice might be a sign that it's nothing significant. Baun has played on nearly defensive snap this season for Philadelphia, recording 96 total tackles (51 solo), including 3.0 sacks, six passes defensed, including an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. If he ultimately can't suit up versus Los Angeles, Jihaad Campbell could be in line to see more snaps in Monday's night's game.

Baun logged five tackles, including one tackle for loss, and a pass deflection during Saturday's preseason opener against the Ravens.
Analysis: After playing on the strong side during his rookie year, Baun seemed to be a more natural fit at weak-side linebacker during last weekend's preseason opener. While he may not be much of an IDP prospect as long as he has to rotate with Kwon Alexander and second-round rookie Pete Werner (leg), that could change if Werner continues to miss time and/or something happens to Alexander, who's bouncing back from an Achilles injury that ended his 2020 campaign.

Should the Saints free up over $13 million in cap space by parting ways with Alexander this offseason, there's a solid chance he could make a bigger impact on defense in 2021.
