One catch against Rams
Parkinson caught one of two targets for eight yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Parkinson played 21 offensive snaps, which was more than Will Dissly (14) but fewer than Noah Fant (25). None of the tight ends were effective for fantasy purposes, but it was a sluggish day for the Seahawks altogether. Fantasy managers shouldn't depend on Parkinson, as he'll struggle to get targets with a loaded receiver corps.

One catch in preseason opener
Parkinson caught his only target for 10 yards in Thursday's 24-13 preseason win over the Vikings.
Analysis: Parkinson's catch came on Seattle's second drive. He's competing for playing time in a deep tight end room that also features Noah Fant and Will Dissly. The 24-year-old Parkinson had 322 yards and two touchdowns in the 2022 regular season. Seattle's next preseason game will be Aug. 19 against Dallas.

Excellent usage to end season
Parkinson caught three of six targets for 14 yards in Saturday's 41-23 playoff loss to the 49ers.
Analysis: Parkinson's usage immediately skyrocketed when Will Dissly (knee) went down with a knee injury, as he played at 79 percent of the offensive snaps over the final two regular-season games. He also recorded 16 targets over the final three games, including the postseason. Most importantly, he ran ahead of former first-round pick Noah Fant in all three of those games. Parkinson still never posted more than 47 yards in a game all season. The Seahawks' tight end room will be tough to decipher heading…read more

Remains top tight end in Seattle
Parkinson caught two of three targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 19-16 overtime win over the Rams.
Analysis: Parkinson's Week 17 usage wasn't a fluke. He operated as the top tight end ahead of Noah Fant for a second straight game Sunday, as Parkinson handled 55 snaps (79 percent) while Fant clocked in at 45 snaps (64 percent). The usage is certainly intriguing, so Parkinson has a chance to be the No. 3 pass catcher behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett in Seattle in any given week.

Operates as No. 1 tight end
Parkinson caught five of six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-6 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Parkinson worked as the Seahawks' clear No. 3 tight end all season behind Will Dissly and Noah Fant. Dissly since has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury, but instead of shifting to the No. 2 role, Parkinson operated as the top TE in Week 17. Parkinson played 80 percent of the offensive snaps while Fant was targeted three times and handled a 63 percent share. It's worth monitoring this usage again Week 18, and Parkinson is worth keeping tabs on.

Increased role ahead
Parkinson should handle an increased workload moving forward following news that Will Dissly (knee) was placed on injured reserve, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Dissly could become available later in the playoffs if the Seahawks make it, but he won't return during the regular season. Last week, Parkinson handled a season-high 30 offensive snaps and produced three catches (four targets) for 45 yards. The 2020 fourth-round pick could handle an even larger workload in Week 17 versus the Jets as the No. 2 tight end behind Noah Fant (knee).

Best performance of 2022
Parkinson caught three of four targets for 45 yards in Saturday's 24-10 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: With Tyler Lockett (hand) out of the lineup and Marquise Goodwin leaving briefly with a wrist injury, Parkinson handled a season-high 30 offensive snaps and finished with season highs in catches and receiving yards. Most notably, he played more snaps than veteran Will Dissly. We should expect Dissly to reclaim the No. 2 role because he's a skilled run-blocker, but this is a competition worth keeping tabs on in deeper fantasy leagues.

Two targets in Week 14 loss
Parkinson hauled in one of his two targets for a 10-yard gain in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: He played 17 snaps in the Week 14 loss, finishing third behind Noah Fant (29) and Will Dissly (21) among the Seahawks' tight ends. So long as Fant and Dissly are available, Parkinson is unlikely to see enough playing time to be a reliable starting option in the majority of fantasy leagues.

No targets in loss
Parkinson went without a target while playing 16 of the Seahawks' 65 snaps on offense in Sunday's 40-34 overtime loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: After seeing at least one target in each of the Seahawks' previous five games, Parkinson didn't draw any looks from quarterback Geno Smith, who attempted 37 passes on the day. Parkinson is behind Will Dissly and Noah Fant on the depth chart at tight end and can't be counted on to be a regular fantasy factor while the latter two options are available.

Season-high snap count
Parkinson hauled in both of his targets for a total of six yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: The third-year tight end logged a season-high 29 offensive snaps. Parkinson still hasn't made much of a fantasy impact this year, as he has just 12 catches for 165 yards and one touchdown through nine games.

Notches 10th reception
Parkinson caught his lone target for five yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Giants.
Analysis: Parkinson has hauled in 10 of 11 targets for 159 yards and a touchdown through eight games this season. He has averaged 20.5 offensive snaps per game this year, as he operates as the No. 3 tight end behind Will Dissly and Noah Fant.

No targets Sunday
Parkinson wasn't targeted in Sunday's 39-32 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: Parkinson has caught six passes for 115 yards and a touchdown through five games. The 23-year-old has averaged just 18.8 snaps per game, so until his usage increases, he'll have limited fantasy upside.

Registers 44 yards
Parkinson caught both of his targets for 44 yards in Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: Through three games, Parkinson leads all Seahawks tight ends with 87 receiving yards, while Will Dissly (77) and Noah Fant (54) trail closely behind. None of these players are dependable for fantasy purposes at this time.

Scores first career TD
Parkinson caught both of his targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 17-16 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: Parkinson produced just 49 receiving yards through his first two seasons in the league, but he managed to produce a career high in receiving yards and score his first career touchdown in Week 1. He handled 20 offensive snaps in the opener, so we shouldn't expect this kind of production going forward.

Snags one pass in loss
Parkinson caught one of three targets for five yards in Saturday's 32-25 preseason loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Parkinson led all Seahawks tight ends with 34 offensive snaps, as Will Dissly got the night off and Noah Fant was limited to 20 snaps. The 2020 fourth-round pick was targeted in the end zone in the third quarter but was unable to hang on as he was hit by multiple defenders while attempting to make the catch. Parkinson has a good chance to make the roster as the No. 3 tight end behind Fant and Dissly, as his unique 6-foot-7 build makes him an intriguing red-zone target.

Just five catches in second season
Parkinson caught five passes (eight targets) for 33 yards over 14 games during the 2021 season.
Analysis: Parkinson re-injured his foot in August and ended up missing the first three games of the season as a result. He rarely played when both Gerald Everett and Will Dissly were healthy, as he averaged just four offensive snaps between Weeks 6 and 15. The 6-foot-7, 251-pound tight end was decently productive in college but simply hasn't made an impact at the NFL level. Both Everett and Dissly will be free agents in March. Dissly will likely stick around, but a pass-catching role could open up if…read more

Receives one target
Parkinson didn't catch his lone target in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Even with Will Dissly in COVID-19 protocol, Parkinson couldn't get anything going offensively. The 2020 fourth-round pick will continue to work as a specialist once Dissly returns to the lineup.

Just four snaps
Parkinson didn't receive a target in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Parkinson played just four snaps on offense because both Gerald Everett and Will Dissly were active. As long Dissly and Everett are healthy, Parkinson will likely handle a limited role on offense.

Catches first pass of season
Parkinson caught one pass (two targets) for one yard in Thursday's 26-17 loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Parkinson logged 35 of 65 offensive snaps with Gerald Everett (COVID-19 protocol) out of the lineup, but he didn't make much of an impact in the passing game. Everett should be back in the lineup Week 6 against the Steelers, so Parkinson will move back to the No. 3 tight end role.

Makes season debut
Parkinson didn't receive a target in Sunday's 28-21 win over the 49ers.
Analysis: Parkinson logged 38 of 56 offensive snaps (68 percent) because Gerald Everett was on the COVID-19 list. The 22-year-old tight end drew high praise from head coach Pete Carroll during training camp before suffering a foot injury. However, his role this season will likely be minimal once Everett returns.

Added to active roster
The Seahawks activated Parkinson (foot) from injured reserve Saturday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Parkinson was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday and will be active against the 49ers on Sunday. The 22-year-old tight end battled his foot injury throughout his rookie season, so it's unclear what type of role he can play for Seattle's offense. With Gerald Everett (illness) likely unavailable Sunday, Parkinson will be needed for depth behind Will Dissly and Tyler Mabry.

Expects to return Week 4
Parkinson (foot) is expected to return from the Seahawks' injured reserve and suit up for Sunday's matchup with the 49ers, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: While the expectation is that he will return, Parkinson hasn't officially been activated yet. With Gerald Everett (illness) likely unavailable, Parkinson would provide depth at tight end behind Will Dissly and Tyler Mabry if ultimately given the green light.

Nearing return
Parkinson (foot) was designated to return from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Analysis: Parkinson has battled the same foot injury for much of his professional career, as he was sidelined until Week 8 of the 2020 campaign with a broken bone in his foot. He suffered the same injury Aug. 13 in the same foot and landed on injured reserve about three weeks later. Parkinson can now return to practice and must be activated within 21 days.

Lands on IR
The Seahawks placed Parkinson (foot) on injured reserve Tuesday, John Boyle of Seahawks.com reports.
Analysis: During training camp, Parkinson re-injured the same foot that kept him out of the majority of his rookie season, so it's no surprise that the Seahawks are being cautious to start the season. He will only have to miss the first three weeks of the 2021 campaign and will be eligible to return Week 4 if he is healthy.

Won't be ready to return this week
Coach Pete Carroll said Monday that Parkinson (foot) won't be ready to return this week, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: The Seahawks were hopeful they would get Parkinson back by the start of the regular season, but they will elect to be cautious, as he broke the same foot last year. Tyler Mabry has been promoted to the active roster ahead of Week 1 and will serve as the third tight end behind Will Dissly and Gerald Everett.

Hopeful for Week 1
Coach Pete Carroll said Sunday that Parkinson (foot) will run this week and that there's still hope he can be ready by Week 1, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Parkinson was slated to be the third tight end behind Will Dissly and Gerald Everett this season, and still will be if he is able to return for the regular season. However, the Seahawks are likely to be extra cautious, as the 22-year-old broke the same foot last year.

Uncertain for Week 1
Head coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Parkinson has a "real slight" nondisplaced fracture in his foot and remains uncertain for Week 1, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Carroll added we won't know for a while if Parkinson will be cleared for the season opener. In turn, the Seahawks added free agent TE Luke Willson for depth behind Gerald Everett and Will Dissly. The Seahawks will likely take a cautious approach with Parkinson -- whom they selected in the fourth round of the 2020 draft -- because of the delicate nature of foot injuries. Once the 6-foot-7 tight end is cleared, he should claim the No. 3 role.

Receives encouraging news
Parkinson won't require foot surgery and could return in a few weeks, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: The 6-foot-7, 251-pound tight end made little impact last season, but he was impressing in training camp before re-injuring the foot that he broke last summer. Foot injuries are always tricky, but it's encouraging that Parkinson won't need surgery and could possibly be ready for Week 1. Even if he's in the lineup for the season opener, he'll be stuck behind Gerald Everett and Will Dissly, so fantasy managers can safely leave him off their radar. Could return in a few weeks
Parkinson (foot) could return to action in a matter of weeks, as his injury isn't expected to require surgery, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The 2020 fourth-round pick suffered a broken fifth metatarsal in his foot last summer and spent the first half of his rookie season on the non-football injury list. He was activated at the end of October and barely played, but reports out of Seattle training camp this summer suggest Parkinson has looked much better heading into Year 2. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll have a role in the offense once he's healthy, but it does at least put him on track for a back-end roster spot. The latest…read more

Parkinson is slated to miss time after re-injuring the foot he broke last season, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports.
Analysis: It's a tough break for the tight end, who was having a strong summer, per Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. While it's clear that Parkinson -- who had been on track to slot in behind Will Dissly and Gerald Everett -- will be sidelined for some time, coach Pete Carroll relayed that the Seahawks plan to go "for multiple opinions on this one."

Logs eight snaps in finale
Parkinson wasn't targeted in Sunday's 26-23 win over the Rams.
Analysis: Parkinson entered the lineup because Greg Olsen (foot) experienced a "flare up" and was inactive. The rookie fourth-round pick out of Stanford logged just eight snaps on offense. The 6-foot-7, 251-pound tight end has played in six games this year, catching two passes for 16 yards. He'll likely be sidelined for Saturday's playoff game against the Rams if Olsen returns.

First NFL reception
Parkinson caught both targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 40-3 win over the Jets.
Analysis: Parkinson caught both passes from Geno Smith, who relieved Russell Wilson near the end of the third quarter due to the blowout nature of the game. The rookie tight end also logged a season-high 19 snaps on offense. He nevertheless remains the odd man out behind Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister, and he could wind up in healthy scratch territory if Greg Olsen (foot) returns this year as planned.

Rarely utilized on offense
Parkinson played just two snaps on offense in Sunday's 17-12 loss to the Giants.

Increased duties in store
Coach Pete Carroll said Tuesday that Parkinson will have a role on offense moving forward after the Seahawks' placed Greg Olsen (foot) on injured reserve, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio 950 KJR Seattle reports.
Analysis: Parkinson missed the first six games of the season with a foot injury. He made his NFL debut in Week 8 against the 49ers, but the rookie fourth-round pick served as a healthy scratch in the last three games. Parkinson will slot in as the No. 3 tight end behind Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister moving forward. The 6-foot-7, 251-pound tight end generated 77 receptions for 1,074 yards and eight touchdowns over 25 games between his final two collegiate seasons.

Sidelined for Sunday's game
Parkinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Analysis: The rookie fourth-round pick out of Stanford made his NFL debut last week after rehabbing from a foot injury that kept him out of the first six games. Parkinson logged just three offensive snaps, though, and now he'll watch from the sidelines Sunday. The Seahawks will roll with Greg Olsen, Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister at tight end.

Activated from NFI list
The Seahawks activated Parkinson (foot) from the non-football injury list Saturday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The rookie fourth-round pick could be in line for his NFL debut Sunday against the 49ers, although there's a decent chance that he's a healthy scratch because four other tight ends are on the active roster. The 6-foot-7, 251-pound tight end posted a 48-589-1 line in his age-20 collegiate season at Stanford and is hoping to bring that production to Seattle, but barring an injury, he'll likely act as depth for the rest of the season with hopes of making a meaningful impact in 2021.

Parkinson (foot) returned to practice Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Analysis: The rookie fourth-round pick as been on the reserve/non-football injury list all season, but his return to the active roster appears to be on the horizon. Parkinson was also on the NFI list for all of training camp, so it could take awhile for him to get up to speed.

Starts season on NFI list
Parkinson (foot) was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list Saturday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.
Analysis: Parkinson -- a fourth-round pick in April -- underwent surgery in June to repair a broken foot, and the rookie has yet to practice with the team. He won't be able to rejoin the team for six weeks as he rehabs the injury, and once he gets healthy, he may need to beat out Luke Willson for the No. 4 tight-end role.

Hits NFI list
The Seahawks placed Parkinson (foot) on the active/non-football injury list Monday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.

Suffers foot injury
Parkinson underwent surgery June 2 after suffering a broken fifth metatarsal in his foot during an offseason workout, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Per the report, the 2020 fourth-rounder has been in Seattle rehabbing the injury. While a precise timetable for Parkinson's return to action has not been established, it's possible that the tight end will miss time early on this season. The Seahawks also roster Greg Olsen, Will Dissly and Jacob Hollister, so even when he is ready to play, Parkinson doesn't appear to have a clear path to steady targets as a rookie.
