Cut from practice squad
Miami cut Sinnett from its practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Sinnett joined Miami's practice squad at the beginning of October, but he never saw the active roster despite Tua Tagovailoa, Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson all being injured at some point. Sinnett will look to find a new opportunity elsewhere, but it's certainly a possibility he returns to the Dolphins organization eventually.

Signs with Miami's practice squad
The Dolphins signed Sinnett to their practice squad Monday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: After being cut from Philadelphia's practice squad in September, Sinnett is getting another opportunity with a new team less than a month later. Barring another injury in Miami's quarterback room though, the 25-year-old signal caller will likely just spell Teddy Bridgewater and Skylar Thompson during practices until Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) returns.

Joining Miami's practice squad
The Dolphins will sign Sinnett to their practice squad Monday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Sinnett was cut from the Eagles' practice squad in early September, and he'll provide additional depth at quarterback for Miami while Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) is sidelined. It's not yet clear whether Sinnett will be elevated to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Jets.

Cut from practice squad
The Eagles released Sinnett from their practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: As expected, Sinnett lost the backup competition to veteran Gardner Minshew, but he rejoined the Eagles on a practice squad deal. However, the 25-year-old now finds himself as a free agent heading into Week 1 of the 2022 season. Sinnett has yet to make his regular-season NFL debut.

Sticks around on practice squad
The Eagles signed Sinnett to the practice squad Wednesday, Sage Hurley of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Sinnett competed with veteran Gardner Minshew for Philadelphia's backup quarterback spot this preseason, but he was ultimately let go as part of the team's final roster cuts Tuesday. Now on the practice squad, the 25-year-old should serve as the team's next best option at quarterback behind Minshew and Ian Book, who was claimed by the Eagles on Wednesday.

Waived by Philly
The Eagles waived Sinnett on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Active Sunday
Sinnett will serve as Gardner Minshew's backup Sunday against the Jets, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Sinnett went undrafted out of San Diego and previously spent time with the Dolphins this season. He served as Jacoby Brissett's backup while Tua Tagovailoa was out with a rib injury, but he never saw the field. With Jalen Hurts (ankle) out Sunday, Sinnett will serve a similar role, likely only to see snaps if Minshew gets injured.

Sinnett (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Chargers, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Sinnett was claimed by the Eagles after they traded Joe Flacco to the Jets. However, the 24-year-old will be inactive Sunday, as Philadelphia will roll with its usual starter Jalen Hurts, and Gardner Minshew will act as the only active backup.

Dropped to No. 3 role
Sinnett (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: After backing up Jacoby Brissett in each of the Dolphins' last three games, Sinnett will head back to the No. 3 role at quarterback with Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) starting Sunday in his first game back from injured reserve. Sinnett could be a candidate to be dropped from the 53-man roster later in the season if injuries should decimate the Dolphins' depth at other positions.

Backup for Sunday
Sinnett was promoted to the active roster Saturday.
Analysis: Sinnett suddenly enters Sunday's game in a pivotal backup role after Tua Tagovailoa (ribs) was placed on injured reserve. Veteran castoff Jacoby Brissett struggled in his 2021 debut last week, but it's hard to imagine a scenario where Sinnett would play over Brissett unless the latter succumbs to some sort of injury.

Sinnett started only one year in college but was quite impressive, throwing for 3,528 yards, 32 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He'll look to pick up a few tips from Tom Brady.
