Stellar effort in Week 13 win
Chase brought in 11 of 12 targets for 149 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 34-31 overtime win over the Jaguars on Monday night.
Analysis: Chase and fill-in quarterback Jake Browning put on quite the primetime display in the shocking upset, with the biggest play of the night between the two coming on the star receiver's 76-yard touchdown reception down the left sideline in the third quarter. The wide receiver also contributed two catches for 25 yards on Cincinnati's game-winning drive in overtime, and his yardage total was his second highest of the campaign. Chase has scored in three of the last four contests, with two of those…read more

Manages 81 yards in loss
Chase recorded four receptions on six targets for 81 yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Steelers.
Analysis: Chase was Cincinnati's most-targeted receiver by a narrow margin, but he was by far the team's most productive pass catcher. He made a few highlight reel plays, and his longest gain of the day came on a deflected pass that he collected and turned upfield for 31 yards. Chase later caught a tightly contested pass with his mouthguard in his hand. Though the catches may have come in unique circumstances, the fact that Chase was productive with Jake Browning under center for a full game is…read more

Scores in Week 11 loss
Chase secured two of seven targets for 12 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 34-20 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night.
Analysis: Even with Tee Higgins (hamstring) sidelined for a second straight contest and Chase leading the team in targets, the star receiver's production was at a season-low point. Chase managed to salvage his fantasy night to an extent via a two-yard touchdown grab with 1:08 remaining that was exponentially more meaningful from a fantasy perspective than in the context of the game itself. With Joe Burrow having suffered a wrist injury of unknown severity Thursday night as well, Chase could have an…read more

Excels despite health concerns
Chase (back) brought in five of six targets for 124 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 30-27 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase was able to clear the pregame warmup hurdle to garner active status, but he was believed to be playing with some notable discomfort stemming from the back bruise he'd suffered in the Week 9 win over the Bills. With Tee Higgins (hamstring) inactive, Chase was able to help make up for his teammate's absence via a team-high receiving yardage tally that was spearheaded by an impressive 64-yard touchdown reception late in the third quarter. The fact Chase apparently made it through the game no…read more

Suiting up Sunday
Chase (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Texans, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: After sitting out one practice and managing only limited participation in the other two this week, Chase took a questionable tag into Sunday and was viewed as a true game-time decision leading up to kickoff. While he ultimately did enough during pregame warmups to avoid the inactive list, Chase is likely suiting up at less-than-optimal health while he contends with a painful back bruise that he sustained on a hard fall to the turf in last week's win over the Bills. No reports have indicated…read more

Expected to suit up Sunday
Chase (back) is expected to be active Sunday against the Texans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Per Rapoport, Chase did what he needed to do during warmups and is now expected to be available for Sunday's contest. Either way, official confirmation of the wideout's status will arrive once the Bengals' inactives are posted ahead of the team's 1:00 ET kickoff.

Truly 50-50 for Sunday
Chase (back) is viewed as a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup against the Texans and considered truly 50-50 to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Chase is officially listed as questionable, but fantasy managers aren't expected to have clarification on his status until Cincinnati releases its inactive list about 90 minutes ahead of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff. The star wideout isn't dealing with any structural damage, but the back bruise he suffered on a hard fall during the Bengals' Week 9 win over the Bills could still affect his availability for Sunday. Hopeful to play
The Bengals are hopeful that Chase (back) will be able to play Sunday against Houston, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Chase has dealt with a back bruise throughout the week after landing hard in a victory over the Bills in Week 9. He concluded the week with two limited practices but will go through pre-game workouts before his availability is decided. Chase is officially listed as questionable and his status will become official roughly 90 minutes before the team's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Gets questionable tag for Sunday
The Bengals list Chase (back) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Analysis: After tending to what he described as a back bruise coming out of the Bengals' Week 9 win over the Bills, Chase sat out the Bengals' first practice of Week 10 on Wednesday before returning to the field Thursday and Friday as a limited participant. Though Chase's ability to finish the week on the field on back-to-back days is generally a good sign, head coach Zac Taylor was non-committal about the receiver's status for Sunday, according to Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer. Sunday status undetermined
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor was non-committal Friday when asked about the chances of Chase (back) playing Sunday against the Texans, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Per Ben Baby of ESPN.com, Chase -- who returned to practice Thursday in a limited capacity -- was present for Friday's session. The Bengals' final Week 10 injury report will be released later Friday and will reveal the extent of Chase's participation, but look for the wideout to be deemed questionable to play this weekend. Meanwhile, Taylor has already confirmed that Tee Higgins (hamstring) won't be available versus Houston.

Turns in limited practice
Chase (back) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
Analysis: Head coach Zac Taylor acknowledged earlier in the week that Chase was contending with back soreness during this past Sunday's win over the Bills, resulting in the wideout sitting out the Bengals' first Week 10 practice Wednesday. Chase's ability to return to practice in some capacity a day later is a step in the right direction, though the receiver told Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic that he's still viewing himself as day-to-day and wouldn't yet commit to being available this Sunday against…read more

Spotted at practice
Chase (back) was present for practice Thursday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Goldsmith notes that Chase -- who didn't practice Wednesday -- appeared to be going through his normal routine with the team's starting receivers Thursday, but the extent of his participation won't be known until the Bengals release their second Week 10 injury report. Chase is looking to overcome back soreness, which he experienced during Sunday's win over the Bills.

Fails to practice Wednesday
Chase (back) was listed as a non-participant in practice Wednesday.
Analysis: According to Ben Baby of ESPN.com, Chase is dealing with back soreness coming out of the Bengals' Week 9 win over the Bills and now has two more chances to return to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans. His status is thus worth monitoring closely as the week progresses, with the same applying to fellow wideout Tee Higgins (hamstring), who logged a limited session Wednesday.

Not practicing Wednesday
Chase (back) isn't present for Wednesday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Head coach Zac Taylor already said earlier this week that Chase would be a limited participant Wednesay, if the wideout was able to practice at all. Chase looks like he'll go down as a non-participant on the Bengals' first Week 10 injury report, though he seemingly still has decent odds to play this Sunday at the Texans. He was able to return to this past Sunday's 24-18 win over the Bills shortly after taking a hard fall, ultimately playing 90 percent of the available snaps.

Labeled day-to-day with back injury
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Monday that Chase is day-to-day with a back injury, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Though Chase handled a typical snap share (90 percent) on offense on his way to finishing with four catches for 41 yards on eight targets in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Bills, Taylor said the receiver was playing through a back issue that got worse as the game went along. Taylor added that Chase is still feeling sore Monday and noted that the 23-year-old may get a day off of practice to begin Week 10 prep. Modest output in victory
Chase caught four of eight targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 24-18 win over the Bills.
Analysis: Chase took a back seat to Tee Higgins (8-110-0), who finished as the Bengals' leading receiver Sunday. The usual No. 1 option also ceded a pair of touchdowns in the red zone to tight ends Drew Sample and Irv Smith Jr., resulting in a down performance by the wideout's lofty standards. Chase was coming off of a massive three-game stretch in which he produced 31 receptions, 372 yards and four touchdowns for fantasy owners, which helps soften the blow of Sunday's underwhelming line. Another elite effort in win
Chase brought in 10 of 12 targets for 100 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 31-17 in over the 49ers on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.
Analysis: Chase led Bengals pass catchers across the stat sheet and helped put the nail in the coffin of the 49ers with his 17-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter that he punctuated with a backflip in a post-score celebration. Chase now has double-digit targets in four of the last five games, including in three straight, and has hit or eclipsed the century mark on three occasions overall. Commands 13 targets
Chase recorded six receptions on 13 targets for 80 yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Seahawks.
Analysis: Even with the return of Tee Higgins (ribs), Chase dominated targets, doubling the next-closest member of the receiving corps. He was less successful in terms of efficiency, as he caught fewer than half of his opportunities, which limited him to 6.2 yards per target. Even so, he's now topped 60 receiving yards in each of his last four games. He'll face a challenge in his next outing, which will come in Week 8 against the 49ers.

Hauls in three TDs against Arizona
Chase caught 15 of 19 targets for 192 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 34-20 win over the Cardinals.
Analysis: Joe Burrow finally looked completely healthy for the first time this season, and with Tee Higgins (ribs) sidelined, Chase was far and away the top option for the Bengals quarterback. The TDs were the first of 2023 for the wideout, but this was the second time in five games he's caught double-digit passes and topped 140 yards, and over his last three contests Chase has racked up a massive 34-406-3 line on 43 targets. Seven catches in blowout loss
Chase recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: The Bengals offense continued to underwhelm in Week 4, which was particularly disappointing considering the Titans entered the game having allowed the fifth-most passing yards per game. However, with Joe Burrow only throwing for 165 yards, Chase's production was decent given the context. After combining to record only 70 receiving yards across the first two games of the season, Chase has 141 and 73 yards in his subsequent pair of contests. Breaks out with 12 catches on MNF
Chase hauled in 12 of his 15 targets for 141 receiving yards in Monday's 19-16 win over the Rams.
Analysis: Chase busted out of his early-season slump in a big way with a career best 12-catch game in a primetime matchup. The only thing missing from the superstar's receiving line was a trip to the end zone, which has eluded the wideout through three games this season. Another quiet week
Chase had five catches for 31 yards on eight targets in the Bengals' Week 2 loss to the Ravens.

Quiet in Week 1 loss
Chase caught five of nine targets for 39 yards and rushed once for two yards in Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Browns.
Analysis: Chase accounted for more than half of Joe Burrow's first-half passing yardage, but that was unfortunately just 19 of 36 yards as the Bengals trailed 10-0 at halftime. The star receiver drew an 18-yard pass interference penalty to set up a field goal for the Bengals' first points on their first possession after halftime, but it was more of the same from there, as Burrow finished with a meager 82 passing yards. Practices with Burrow on Wednesday
Chase took the field Wednesday alongside quarterback Joe Burrow (calf), who was a full practice participant for the first time since late July.
Analysis: Re-establishing chemistry shouldn't be an issue since the receiver and quarterback already have four years of experience together dating back to their college days at LSU, but the fact that Burrow is set to put in a full week of practice should at least ease any concerns fantasy managers might have had about Chase's outlook heading into Sunday's season opener at Cleveland. Preaching patience to Burrow
Speaking to NFL Network on Friday, Chase encouraged teammate Joe Burrow to fully recover from his calf injury, even if it means missing Week 1, Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Chase elaborated: "I 100 percent mean that. I just want him to be 100 percent healthy to play. I don't want him rushing nothing. I don't want people in his ear telling him to play at a certain time. I just want him to be healthy."
Analysis: Chase has his own experience recovering from an injury and taking the extra week after being technically cleared to play. He took one extra week to rest when the Bengals played the Titans (and they won anyway) in Week 12 last season in order to allow him to be 100 percent down the stretch.

Six catches not enough in loss
Chase caught six of eight targets for 75 yards in Sunday's 23-20 AFC Championship Game loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: Chase finished three targets and eight receiving yards shy of Tee Higgins' team-leading totals, and the former also was held out of the end zone for the first time this postseason while Higgins scored his first touchdown of the playoffs. The fifth overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft again was brilliant in his second NFL campaign, needing only 12 games to rack up 1,046 yards and nine TDs in the regular season before adding 220 yards and two more scores in three playoff games.

Scores in big win
Chase caught five of eight targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Bills in the AFC divisional round. He also rushed once for three yards.
Analysis: Chase started the scoring with a 28-yard touchdown to cap Cincinnati's opening drive. The wideout had another touchdown grab overturned later in the game, but Chase still led the Bengals in receiving. Thanks to Sunday's win, he'll now prepare for next weekend's showdown with the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Chase returned from injury to face Kansas City in Week 13 of the regular season and finished with seven catches for 97 yards in a 27-24 victory.

Finds end zone in playoff win
Chase caught nine of 12 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-17 wild-card round win over the Ravens.
Analysis: Chase was unstoppable early on, catching all six of his targets for 52 yards across Cincinnati's first two drives, the latter of which he capped with a seven-yard touchdown to take a 9-0 lead. The Ravens controlled time of possession thereafter and did a better job of containing Chase, but the star receiver's early contributions proved vital in the nail-biting win. Dominates opportunity in Week 18
Chase recorded eight receptions on 13 targets for 86 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-16 win over Baltimore.
Analysis: Chase earned double-digit targets for the fourth consecutive game, and he nearly doubled up Tyler Boyd, who finished second on the team with seven looks. Chase displayed some big-play ability, highlighted by a 26-yard touchdown catch as well as big gains of 20 and 17 yards. Chase had eight catches for 79 yards in Sunday's win over the Patriots, but he also lost a critical fumble in the second half and was the target on an interception by Marcus Jones that was returned for a touchdown.

Grabs eighth touchdown in win
Chase had seven receptions (13 targets) for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-23 win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Chase was bottled up for the majority of this contest before Joe Burrow found his favorite target for a short score in fourth quarter. It wasn't the most efficient use of 13 targets from the star wideout, but the touchdown put a bow on a solid point total for managers in the thick of the fantasy playoffs. Analysis: According to Wolfe, the Bengals plan on keeping an eye on Chase as the game rolls along, but so long he doesn't tweak his right hip during the contest, he looks like he'll be on the field for nearly every offensive down in his return to the lineup. Chase (hip) is expected to return from his four-game absence versus Kansas City in Week 13, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The Bengals reportedly considered having Chase retake the field for Sunday's win over Tennessee, but the team ultimately opted to play it safe with the star wideout and give him a bit more time to fully recover. The expectation is that Chase will be available alongside Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd for Sunday's potentially high-scoring affair.

Inactive Sunday
Chase (hip) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: Chase, who has missed the Bengals' last three games due to a hip injury, was a limited participant at practice Wednesday through Friday before being listed as questionable for the contest. However, the star wideout will be held out once again Sunday and will thus target a potential return to action next weekend when Cincinnati faces Kansas City at home. In Chase's continued absence, Trenton Irwin figures to log added wideout snaps alongside Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd in Week 12.

Not expected to play Sunday
Chase (hip), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, isn't expected to be active for the contest, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: In his return to practice this week, Chase reportedly turned in three encouraging limited sessions, but he's still expected to miss a fourth consecutive game. A final word on Chase's status still isn't expected to come until 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, when the Bengals will release their inactive list. If Chase is in fact included on the inactive list, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd will once again act as Joe Burrow's top wideouts.

Trending toward another absence
Chase (hip) isn't in line to play Sunday at Tennessee, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Chase got back on the practice field this week in a limited fashion after missing the last three games due to a sore hip. While he hasn't officially been ruled out by the Bengals -- coach Zac Taylor said Friday that the wide receiver would be a game-time call -- it appears Chase instead will aim to return Week 13 against the Chiefs. In the end, the decision on Chase's status will be revealed about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff.

Chase (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: According to Hobson, head coach Zac Taylor said that a decision on the wideout's Week 12 status will be made Sunday. Fortunately for those hoping to use Chase in fantasy lineups this weekend, the Bengals and Titans kick off among the early wave of games at 1 p.m. ET, giving managers plenty of options to pivot to in the event Chase finds himself on the inactive list. Another limited practice
Chase (hip) remained limited at practice Thursday.
Analysis: Now that he's logged back-to-back capped sessions, Chase is trending in the right direction ahead of this weekend's game against the Titans. That said, unless he practices fully Friday, the wideout figures to carry a Week 12 injury designation ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Limited in return to practice
Chase (hip) was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday, Jay Morrison of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Chase last saw game action Week 7, but his return to practice Wednesday represents a significant step toward the wideout potentially playing this Sunday against the Titans. Unless Chase is able to practice fully by Friday, however, he could approach Sunday's game with an injury designation.

Chase (hip) was spotted at practice Wednesday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: The Bengals will release their first Week 12 practice report later Wednesday, when the extent of Chase's participation will be known. At this stage, Chase appears to be trending in the right direction in advance of Sunday's contest against the Titans. Prior to being sidelined for the past three games, Chase was providing strong fantasy production, having caught 47 passes (on 74 targets) for 605 yards and six touchdowns in seven outings.

Expected to play, per Burrow
Chase's (hip) teammate,Joe Burrow, said Wednesday that he expects the receiver to play Sunday against the Titans, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Analysis: Such an outcome is contingent on the wideout not suffering any setbacks upon his anticipated return to practice this week, but Chase looks to be trending toward his first game action since Week 7. More clarity on Chase's status should arrive later Wednesday, when the Bengals post their first injury report of Week 12.

Coach Zac Taylor said Monday that Chase (hip) will resume practicing this week, but his availability for Sunday's matchup against the Titans remains to be determined, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

As such, Chase, who hasn't suited up since Week 7 due to a hip injury, could return to game action soon. However, the star wideout's participation at practice in the coming days likely will provide further clarity on his availability for Week 12.

Could practice next week
Chase (hip), who is out for Sunday's game against the Steelers, has a chance to practice this coming week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Per Rapoport, the wideout -- who last suited up Week 7 -- is improving and no longer requires the use of crutches. If Chase is indeed able to resume practicing in the coming days, he could return to the Bengals' lineup as soon as next Sunday against the Titans. In his absence Week 11, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd will continue to lead the team's receiver corps.

Not playing Sunday
Chase (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Chase already has missed two contests due to a hip issue, and following the Bengals' Week 10 bye, he'll make it a third this weekend. Having said that, the team opted not to place him on IR, which would have required him to sit out at least four games. Considering Chase was given a recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks, there's a chance he'll be able to return Sunday, Nov. 27 in Tennessee. First, though, he'll have to mix into drills next week.

Chase (hip) wasn't present for Wednesday's practice and is on track to remain out for Sunday's game in Pittsburgh, Andrew Gillis of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Analysis: Coming out of the Bengals' Week 10 bye, Chase is still sidelined, though Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com suggests that the wideout may be ready to action Week 12 against the Titans. In the meantime, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd are in line to continue to lead the team's receiver corps.

Not expected to land on IR
Head coach Zac Taylor stated Chase (hip) is not expected to go on injured reserve, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Given the initial prognosis was the dynamic receiver would likely miss at least four weeks after suffering a hip injury, this is certainly an interesting announcement. It likely helps that the Bengals have a Week 10 bye, which theoretically buys another week of recovery for Chase that would otherwise not count had he been placed on IR. Expect Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins to be prominent figures in the team's passing attack for however long Chase is sidelined.

Expected to miss practice Thursday
Coach Zac Taylor indicated that Chase (hip) isn't likely to practice Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The report suggests that Chase is dealing with some hip soreness, so the wideout's status will be worth monitoring as Monday night's game against the Browns approaches. Chase recorded eight receptions on 11 targets for 130 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 25-17 win over the Falcons.
Analysis: Chase posted a nearly identical line to his massive performance in Week 6, logging his second consecutive game with at least 130 yards and two scores. He reached the end zone from 41 and 32 yards, which accounted for the majority of his production. Chase also overcame a brief injury scare late in the first half and had a quiet final two quarters, though he still managed three catches for 18 yards, suggesting he escaped relatively unscathed.

Analysis: Chase was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but managed to avoid an injury designation after practicing fully Friday. He thus seems likely to be ready for this weekend's game against the Falcons, though it'll be worth keeping an eye on Cincinnati's injury reports with wideout Tee Higgins (ankle) and tight end Hayden Hurst (groin) also limited Wednesday and hoping to avoid setbacks with injuries they've been able to play through.

Chase secured four of six targets for 81 yards in the Bengals' 27-15 win over the Dolphins on Thursday night.
Analysis: Chase finished second in receptions, receiving yards and targets to Tee Higgins for the Bengals on the night, turning in his best yardage total since Week 1 against the Steelers in the process. The 2021 first-round pick's 20.3 yards per reception was a welcome sight after he'd averaged just 7.5 yards per grab over the previous two games, and Chase will aim to keep his momentum going in a key Week 5 AFC North road battle versus the Ravens a week from Sunday night.

Headed for more slot work?
Chase could see more work in the slot this year, with offensive coordinator Brian Callahan noting that the second-year wideout is a "really smart" player who knows assignments for multiple receiver spots, Paul Dehner of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Primarily an X receiver last season, Chase didn't move around the formation much early on, instead finding success with his ability to beat press coverage, win one-on-one matchups outside and run past slower defenders. The Bengals moved him around a bit more as the year went along, but his 20.6 percent slot-snap rate over the final nine games (including playoffs) was still on the low side for a top receiver. Dominant playoff debut
Chase caught nine passes for 116 yards on 12 targets and ran for 23 yards on three carries against Las Vegas on Saturday.
Analysis: Be it the regular season or playoffs, Chase has proven himself a uniquely productive player who holds top-shelf fantasy value. Chase was heavily involved early for Cincinnati and spearheaded its initial offensive attack in a game the Bengals went on to win 26-19. Tee Higgins (one 10-yard catch on four targets) will normally claim a bigger share of the Cincinnati passing game than he did against the Raiders, but both players have shown the ability to shine when the spotlight lands on them.

Analysis: The star rookie was in there for limited snaps as expected, but he did get more than the 12 yards he needed to set the rookie franchise record in that category. Ineffective against Denver
Chase recorded one reception on four targets for three yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Broncos.
Analysis: This matchup was a defensive struggle from start to finish, but even given that context, Chase posted a disappointing line. Volume was down for nearly every Cincinnati receiver, but Chase's inability to break free for big gains -- a skill that was the key to his early-season production -- remains a concern. Chase secured five of eight targets for 52 yards in the Bengals' 41-22 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase saw fellow wideouts Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd outshine him on the afternoon, but he still put together a solid fantasy performance, especially from a PPR perspective. The standout rookie is in a bit of a slump since a stellar 8-201-1 effort against the Ravens in Week 7, posting no more than six receptions or Sunday's 52 receiving yards since that game. Makes low volume count Sunday
Chase caught three of six targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-13 win over the Raiders. He also gained eight rushing yards on two carries.
Analysis: The six targets were the fewest Chase has seen since Week 3 and the 40 scrimmage yards were a season low, but the rookie wideout stayed productive by hauling in a six-yard score from Joe Burrow in the fourth quarter as the Bengals pulled away. Chase has eight TDs through his first 10 NFL games while inching closer to 1,000 receiving yards, and he could pad those numbers significantly in Week 12 against a Steelers defense he torched for two touchdowns in their first meeting this year.

Does little with 13 targets
Chase caught six of 13 targets for 49 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 41-16 loss to Cleveland. He also rushed twice for no gain.
Analysis: Chase was the intended receiver on a Joe Burrow pass that was returned for a 99-yard interception touchdown to end a promising Bengals opening drive, then the rookie wide receiver fumbled in the second quarter. He also had a ball go through his hands in the end zone in the third quarter, as some of the drops Chase struggled with in the preseason have begun to resurface. After eclipsing 50 receiving yards in each of his first seven games, Chase has failed to reach that mark in either of the last…read more

Quiet outside of short TD
Chase caught three of eight targets for 32 yards and a touchdown while adding nine yards on one rushing attempt in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Chase has done most of his scoring from distance, but he showed he can be an effective red-zone weapon as well with a two-yard touchdown in the second quarter. That was his seventh touchdown in eight games, as the rookie fifth overall pick has lived up to his draft-day billing and then some. The underrated Jets secondary kept Chase to under 50 receiving yards for the first time in his career, but he'll have a WR1 ceiling in all formats in Week 9 against the Browns.

Explodes for 201 yards
Chase had eight receptions (10 targets) for 201 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-17 rout of the Ravens.
Analysis: Chase was already on the way to a big receiving day before Joe Burrow dialed up his favorite receiver for an 82-yard touchdown late in the third quarter. The budding star wideout continues to dazzle in his rookie campaign, bringing his season totals up to 35 receptions, 754 yards and six scores through seven contests. If that wasn't impressive enough, Chase's mark of 21.5 yards per catch ranks second in the league, trailing only the Raiders' Henry Ruggs. Fantasy managers should continue riding…read more

Just misses century mark in win
Chase brought in four of six targets for 97 yards in the Bengals' 34-11 win over the Lions on Sunday.
Analysis: Chase's yardage total led the Bengals' pass catchers, with a game-high 53-yard grab playing a big part. The dynamic rookie also shared the team lead in targets, but the downturn in that category was a mild disappointment after Chase had logged 19 total looks over the previous two games. Despite falling just short of his third 100-yard effort, the first-round pick will have no shortage of appeal going into a Week 7 road showdown against the Ravens.

Scores while topping 150 yards
Chase caught six of 10 targets for 159 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-22 overtime loss to the Packers.
Analysis: Chase continued his sensational start to his NFL career with his best performance yet. This year's fifth pick had a drop early but compensated with an impressive 70-yard touchdown catch off a scramble drill just before halftime, again showing his unique chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow. That play gave Chase five scores through as many games as a pro, including four of 30-plus yards. The 21-year-old star then made an acrobatic catch along the sideline to help set up Cincinnati's chance to…read more

Solid showing in close win
Chase secured six of nine targets for 77 yards in the Bengals' 24-21 win over the Jaguars on Thursday night.
Analysis: Chase checked in second in receiving yards and targets to Tyler Boyd, and he recorded a game-high 44-yard grab on the opening drive of the third quarter to help ignite the Bengals' comeback. The rookie continued to quickly re-cultivate the connection he had with college teammate Joe Burrow, as Chase's reception and target tallies were both new high-water marks. He'll look to continue with a similar level of involvement in a Week 5 showdown against the Packers a week from Sunday, even if Tee…read more

Four TDs through three games
Chase caught four of five targets for 65 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-10 win over Pittsburgh.
Analysis: Chase found the end zone from 34 yards out with 37 seconds left in the first half on a play reminiscent of his Week 1 touchdown against Minnesota, which also came in the final minute before halftime. The rookie fifth overall pick scored again from nine yards out in the third quarter, giving him four touchdowns in his first three NFL games. With Chase and Joe Burrow having reignited the chemistry from their days together at LSU, the rookie receiver will be an appetizing fantasy play against the…read more

Scores another TD
Chase caught two of his four targets for 54 yards and a TD in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bears.
Analysis: Meanwhile, fellow WR Tee Higgins caught six of his team-high 10 targets for 60 yards and a TD and slot man Tyler Boyd hauled in seven of his nine targets for 73 yards. Chase's 42-yard TD saved his day from a fantasy perspective, but the rookie's volume took a dip Sunday after he caught five of seven targets for 101 yards and a TD in his regular-season debut last weekend. The LSU product will look to carve out a bigger target share in Week 3, when the Bengals travel to Pittsburgh.

Leading receiver in terrific debut
Chase caught five of seven targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Vikings.
Analysis: Chase had an underwhelming camp, but the rookie fifth overall pick stepped his game up in his NFL debut, bursting by the defender on a go route for a 50-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half. He finished as the team leader in catches, targets and receiving yards. Chase's chemistry with quarterback Joe Burrow dates back to their days together at LSU, and the electric rookie will look to build on this strong first impression in Week 2 against Chicago.

Drops only target
Chase failed to bring in his only target during the Bengals' 29-26 preseason loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Analysis: Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports Chase couldn't secure a bubble screen from Joe Burrow on the team's first drive, with the ball bouncing right off his hands. It was an extension of a troublesome trend for the rookie first-round pick, who was charged with three drops in preseason Week 2 against Washington and then put in extra pass-catching reps during the practice week. Baby separately reports Burrow publicly proclaims to be unconcerned about Chase's exhibition struggles, adding, "He'll be ready to…read more

Taking extra reps
Chase has been putting in extra work in the aftermath of Friday's preseason game against Washington, when he dropped three catchable balls, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
Analysis: Chase went in and worked with receivers coach Troy Walters on Saturday's off-day, and then turned in a big practice on Monday. With Joe Burrow playing in this weekend's preseason finale versus the Dolphins, Chase should get extra work in that game as well.

Struggles in second preseason game
Chase failed to record a reception on three targets in Friday's preseason game against Washington.
Analysis: All three targets hit Chase in the hands, and two particularly appeared to have the makings of routine catches. While it's not the performance Chase desired, he'll continue to get plenty of opportunities after being selected fifth overall by the Bengals in the 2021 draft. Chase's college production indicates that he has the talent to excel in the pros, though his inconsistency could lead to a slow start to his rookie campaign. This falls in line with earlier reports from training camp, which…read more

Makes first grab as Bengal
Chase caught his only target for 16 yards in Saturday's preseason win over the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The fifth overall pick in the 2021 draft hauled in a strike from Brandon Allen on the Bengals' first possession before quickly calling it a night. Expectations are high for Chase this season in no small part due to his familiarity with Joe Burrow -- who didn't play Saturday -- from their time together at LSU, but with the second-year QB unlikely to see extensive preseason action, it might not be until Week 1 that the duo gets to really flash their chemistry.

Making rookie adjustments
Chase is still "fighting the rookie learning curve" in camp, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Chase drew raves during earlier minicamps, but lining up against Chidobe Awuzie has proven to be a challenge in training camp, as Chase has struggled to create separation and has had his share of drops to boot. It's not all negative with the fifth overall pick in this year's draft, but early-season expectations should be tempered.

Impressive separation
Chase impressed the Bengals with his ability to gain separation in summer workouts, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Teammate Joe Burrow extolled Chase's abilities, reminding everyone how well they worked together at LSU. "Everybody's been surprised by how smart he was," said Burrow. "I told everyone coming in, 'He's not going to bust, he's going to know exactly what to do, he's going to be a pro.' And that's exactly what's happened." We'll see how quickly that translates against opposing teams, and there's still the concern about how many targets Chase will get with both Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd also on…read more
