Pre-Season Outlook

St. Brown is one of the league's most dependable possession receivers, consistently producing high catch totals thanks to sharp route-running and his willingness to work in traffic. After catching 90 passes as a rookie, he's topped 100 receptions in each of the past three seasons, thriving both in the slot and outside. While he doesn't see many deep looks, St. Brown still found the end zone 22 times over the past two seasons. His targets dipped slightly last year, from 164 to 141, but he offset the drop with a career-best 81.6 percent catch rate. That kind of efficiency may be hard to repeat, but he's always been north of 70 percent, even as a rookie. The Detroit offense remains strong overall, with steady QB play, dominant offensive tackles and no shortage of playmaking talent. The biggest unknown is how things will change under new offensive coordinator John Morton, who replaces Ben Johnson. St. Brown should continue to lead the team in catches, but his touchdown total might come down depending on how the new system spreads the ball among Detroit's other stars.
