Mitchell rushed six times for 24 yards in Sunday's 34-10 preseason win over the Raiders.
Analysis: Mitchell was serviceable in his first appearance as a pro. Analysis: Mitchell was a surprise scratch from the roster for Saturday's preseason opener against the Chiefs, and the reason for his absence is now known. Mitchell is not expected to play in Saturday's preseason opener against the Chiefs, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Analysis: Mitchell was able to take part in the 49ers' last practice session prior to Saturday's contest, but he was listed among the players on the "Anticipated Will Not Play" list cited in the report.
