Shifts to IR
Dulcich (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
Analysis: This isn't exactly a surprising development, as it was reported earlier this week Dulcich would miss "several weeks" with a hamstring injury. The earliest the second-year tight end is eligible to return would be a Thursday night Week 6 battle against the Chiefs. Expect Adam Trautman to see the vast majority of the tight end snaps in the absence of the 23-year-old Dulcich.

Officially ruled out
Dulcich (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Commanders, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Dulcich's absence this weekend comes as little surprise, given that Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com previously reported that the tight end was expected to miss several weeks with the injury he picked up in the Broncos' season-opening loss to the Raiders. As long as Dulcich is sidelined, Adam Trautman should operate as the Broncos' clear top tight end and potentially see added involvement in Denver's passing offense.

Logs another DNP
Dulcich (hamstring) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Logging back-to-back DNPs to begin Week 2 prep isn't a surprise for Dulcich, who is expected to miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury. Last season, he was inactive seven times due to a hamstring issue (Weeks 1-5 and 17-18), so his upcoming absence doesn't necessarily have a firm timetable. Assuming the Broncos rule out Dulcich on Friday's practice report, the Broncos will turn to Adam Trautman, Chris Manhertz and potentially undrafted rookie Nate Adkins at tight end.

Sidelined Wednesday
Dulcich (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com previously reported earlier this week that Dulcich could miss several games, but the Broncos haven't yet formally ruled the tight end out for Sunday's game against the Commanders. That said, Dulcich's absence from practice Wednesday confirms that he's unlikely to play this weekend, and he'll most likely be ruled out ahead of the Week 2 matchup by Friday. On the plus side, head coach Sean Payton noted Wednesday that Dulcich was feeling better three days removed from…read more

To miss multiple games
The Broncos expect Dulcich (hamstring) to miss multiple weeks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Dulcich was forced out of the Week 1 loss to the Raiders early after injuring the same hamstring that caused him to miss seven games as a rookie. It remains to be seen whether the Broncos consider the second-year tight end a candidate for IR. Adam Trautman will remain atop the depth chart at the position for Denver while Dulcich is sidelined.

Having MRI done
Coach Sean Payton said Monday that Dulcich (leg) will undergo an MRI, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Dulcich left Sunday's loss to the Raiders early due to a leg injury, so this MRI will determine the full severity of his issue as well as an expected recovery timetable. If Dulcich is forced to miss any amount of time, Adam Trautman will stand to benefit from increased opportunities atop Denver's tight end depth chart.

Suffers leg injury
Dulcich was forced out of Sunday's game against the Raiders due to a leg injury, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Analysis: The Broncos announced that Dulcich won't return to the contest, so he'll finish Week 1 action with two catches on as many targets for 22 yards. In his absence, look for Adam Trautman to see increased opportunities in Denver's passing attack.

Not targeted in preseason loss
Dulcich was not targeted despite being active for Friday's 18-17 preseason loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: Dulcich was surprisingly bypassed as the potential starter despite having a strong rookie campaign in 2022, coupled with Denver not having a ton of competition at that position. Instead, coach Sean Payton went outside of the organization and brought in Adam Trautman, one of his former tight ends from New Orleans to serve as his starting tight end in Denver. It seemed like a timeshare was going to develop in order to at least keep Dulcich's hands on the field, but based on who started and the…read more

Listed as No. 2 tight end
Dulcich was listed as the No. 2 tight end on the Broncos' unofficial depth chart Wednesday, Henry Chisholm of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Dulcich slotting in as the No. 2 tight end should come as a surprise, as many assumed that he earned the No. 1 spot based on his playmaking ability as a pass catcher. Instead, teammate Adam Trautman was listed as the starter. While addressing the media following the release of the first unofficial depth chart, head coach Sean Payton said, "the one thing that is interesting about this tight end group is that there are some clear roles that you can see. Making impression on Sean Payton
Dulcich is healthy for offseason practices and has been making a good impression on new coach Sean Payton, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports. "[Dulcich]'s got traits that are exciting," Payton said earlier this month, "and today was one of those days where you begin to have a vision."
Analysis: Hamstring injuries cost Dulcich the first five games of his rookie season as well as the final two. In between, the 2022 third-round pick emerged as Denver's top pass catcher at tight end, averaging 4.9 targets in QB Russell Wilson's nine starts. Dulcich caught only 60 percent of his targets -- a rather low rate for a TE -- but his 33 receptions included six gains of 20-plus yards and three of 30-plus. While a favorite to lead the team's tight ends in targets again, Dulcich isn't known for…read more

Lands on IR
Dulcich (hamstring) has been placed on IR by the Broncos, Ben Swanson of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: With the Broncos eliminated from playoff contention, Dulcich's season is officially over. The 2022 third-rounder thus concludes his rookie campaign with 33 catches (on 55 targets) for 411 yards and two TDs in 10 games. Looking ahead to next year, Dulcich should lead Denver's tight end corps out of the gate in 2023, a context that will place the UCLA product firmly in the fantasy radar at his position.

Won't play in Week 17
Dulcich (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Dulcich failed to practice in any capacity this week. With the Broncos out of the playoff picture, it wouldn't be surprising if the rookie tight end failed to suit up for the Week 18 season finale against the Chargers as well. Dulcich also suffered a hamstring injury just before the season, which kept him out until Week 6. In his absence, Eric Saubert, Eric Tomlinson, Andrew Beck and possibly Albert Okwuegbunam will see snaps at tight end against Kansas City.

Still not practicing
Dulcich (hamstring) wasn't spotted at practice Friday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Dulcich didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday either, which suggests that he's trending toward missing Sunday's game against the Chiefs. If he ends up ruled out for the contest, Eric Saubert, Eric Tomlinson and possibly Albert Okwuegbunam would be in line to see added Week 17 snaps.

Still not practicing
Dulcich (hamstring) won't practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Dulcich didn't practice Wednesday either, which clouds his status for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. If the 2022 third-rounder -- who logged a 4-39-1 line on eight targets Week 16 versus the Rams -- is unable to play this weekend, added tight end snaps would be available for Eric Saubert, Eric Tomlinson and possibly Albert Okwuegbunam.

Not practicing Wednesday
Dulcich (hamstring) wasn't spotted at Wednesday's practice, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Dulcich hurt his hamstring late in Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Rams, so his status will need to be tracked in advance of this weekend's game against the Chiefs. If Dulcich is out this weekend, more snaps at tight end would be available for Eric Saubert, Eric Tomlinson and Albert Okwuegbunam.

Not returning Sunday
Dulcich has been ruled out of Sunday's game at the Rams due to a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Prior to his departure in the fourth quarter, Dulcich reeled in four of eight targets for 39 yards and one touchdown, marking his second end-zone visit of the season. His status now will need to be watched as the Broncos prepare for a Week 17 road matchup with the Chiefs next Sunday, Jan. 1.

Disappears against Arizona
Dulcich recorded one catch on two targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 24-15 win over Arizona.
Analysis: Dulcich entered the game having seen eight targets in consecutive contests, and there was little reason to believe that would change with both Courtland Sutton (hamstring) and Kendall Hinton (hamstring) sidelined. However, Dulcich was overshadowed by several of the Broncos' peripheral pass catchers, including Eric Tomlinson and Brandon Johnson. Dulcich should have the opportunity to bounce back in Week 16, as Russell Wilson (concussion) is expected to return from a one-game absence.

Three grabs in Sunday's loss
Dulcich caught three of eight targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 34-28 loss to Kansas City.
Analysis: The rookie tight end struggled to get on the same page with Russell Wilson (concussion) early, but Dulcich made some big catches later in the game as the Broncos tried to claw their way back from a 27-0 deficit. He's has seen eight targets in back-to-back contests as his role in the offense continues to grow, but Wilson's exit in the fourth quarter puts the QB's status for Week 15 in question. Dulcich would be a less appealing fantasy option with Brett Rypien under center against the Cardinals.

Team-high receiving yardage in loss
Dulcich brought in six of eight targets for 85 yards in the Broncos' 10-9 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
Analysis: The rookie tight end bounced back from a rough stretch that had seen him produce a 7-52 line on 12 targets over his previous three games, tying his career best in receptions and posting his second-highest receiving yardage tally. Dulcich led the Broncos in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the day as well, sending him into a Week 14 home battle against the Chiefs with positive momentum.

Slump continues
Dulcich caught two of three targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Panthers.
Analysis: Dulcich showed promise in his first three appearances after debuting in Week 6, accumulating 182 receiving yards and a touchdown on 17 targets. The rookie tight end has cooled off in three games since, failing to jump-start a sputtering Broncos offense while turning 12 targets into just 52 yards. Dulcich will look to get back on track against the Ravens in Week 13.

Tallies four catches
Dulcich recorded four catches on five targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: Dulcich remained heavily involved in the Denver offense, finishing tied for second on the team with five targets. He contributed primarily in the short areas of the field, though he did turn in a 15-yard reception on the Broncos' first offensive play of the game. Since being activated from injured reserve prior to Week 6, Dulcich has at least four receptions in three of five games.

Catches one pass in loss
Dulcich caught one of four targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans.
Analysis: After a solid if belated start to his rookie campaign, Dulcich's one-catch performance was a major disappointment for fantasy managers. The 6-foot-4, 245-pound tight end was unable to get anything going as Denver's offensive struggles continued in Week 10. Despite this underwhelming performance, Dulcich played 89 percent of the offensive snaps, and Russell Wilson continues to look his way. Leads team in receiving
Dulcich recorded four receptions on five targets for 87 yards in Sunday's 21-17 win over the Jaguars.
Analysis: Dulcich continued his impressive rookie season and led the Broncos in receiving yards thanks to lengthy gains of 38, 22 and 18 yards. He's also carved out a consistent role quickly in the Denver offense, commanding 17 targets combined across the first three games of his career. That production has come with both Russell Wilson and Brett Rypien under center, so Dulcich appears likely to continue to produce moving forward.

Remains heavily involved
Dulcich recorded six receptions on nine targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: Dulcich was active for his second career game and remained entrenched as Denver's top tight end. He finished tied with Courtland Sutton for second on the team with nine targets and was second only to Jerry Jeudy in receiving yards. Dulcich worked almost exclusively in short areas of the field, though he did manage a 16-yard reception late in the fourth quarter. Finds end zone in debut
Dulcich caught two of three targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 19-16 overtime loss to the Chargers.
Analysis: Dulcich operated as Denver's No. 1 tight end and was the only Broncos player to hit paydirt Monday night. The rookie was targeted in the end zone as well but was unable to reel in the contested catch. The fact that Russell Wilson (hamstring) was willing to look Dulcich's way in his first game as a rookie was a promising sign for his potential moving forward. Set to debut on MNF
Dulcich (hamstring) has been activated from injured reserve and will make his NFL debut Monday against the Chargers.
Analysis: Dulcich may need some time to get up to speed, but there's a clear path for the rookie to immediately carve out a prominent role in an underwhelming group of Broncos tight ends led by Eric Saubert (ankle) and Albert Okwuegbunam. Drafted in the third round out of UCLA, Dulcich had been impressing in camp prior to hurting his hamstring.

Expected to debut Week 6
Head coach Nathaniel Hackett said Thursday that he hopes to have Dulcich (hamstring) back from injured reserve for the Broncos' Week 6 game against the Chargers, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: The third-round rookie out of UCLA has missed the Broncos' first five games of the season, but he was cleared to resume practicing Tuesday and looks to be making good progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury. The Broncos will presumably assess Dulcich in practices over the next three days before deciding whether he's fit to handle some snaps in Monday's game. The Broncos designated Dulcich (hamstring) for return from injured reserve Tuesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: An offseason hamstring issue followed Dulcich into training camp, the preseason and eventually the regular season, forcing him to IR for Weeks 1-5. Now that he's back on the practice field, he can be activated anytime in the next 21 days, which may happen ahead of Monday's matchup with the Chargers. May return soon
Dulcich (hamstring) is expected to begin practicing this week, according to head coach Nathanial Hackett, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: Dulcich has been dealing with a hamstring injury since the beginning of training camp, which resulted in him being placed on IR on Aug. 30. Although there were expectations he could be available for Week 5, it did not come to be. If Dulcich is able to return to practice this week, he will need to be designated to return from IR, which would open up a three-week window for him to be moved to the active roster.

Won't play Thursday
Dulcich (hamstring) will remain on injured reserve and won't play in Thursday's Week 5 contest against the Colts, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: There was optimism that Dulcich would be able to return for Week 5, the earliest possible season debut for the tight end after starting the campaign on IR. However, with the Broncos on a short week, Dulcich will remain sidelined for yet another contest. Once he's designated to return from IR, the rookie third-round pick will have a 21-day period before he'll need to be activated to the 53-man roster.

On track for Week 5 return
Per coach Nathaniel Hackett, there's "a very high chance" that Dulcich (hamstring) will practice next week and return from injured reserve when first eligible to do so Week 5 against the Colts, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: The rookie tight end had been impressing in camp prior to getting hurt, so Dulcich could carve out a prominent role once he's back. Getting up to speed in time to face the Colts won't be easy, though, as the Broncos will have a short week of practice before playing Thursday in Week 5.

Headed for IR
The Broncos will place Dulcich (hamstring) on injured reserve this week, ruling him out for four games with the expectation he'll be be ready to play Week 5, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Broncos GM George Paton said he expects the rookie tight end to be "100 percent" healthy after the four-game minimum stay on IR. It's not the kickoff to his career many hoped for when reports emerged during OTAs that Dulcich was seeing work with the starters, but it does seem he'll have chance to contribute on offense this year. The hamstring injury cost him most of training camp and all of the preseason, after initially being an issue at spring practices.

Could play Week 1
Coach Nathaniel Hackett said the Broncos are doing "everything they can" to get Dulcich (hamstring) on the field Week 1, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Analysis: It appears Dulcich will miss a third straight preseason game, in addition to most of training camp and part of the offseason program. He nonetheless has a shot at snaps early in the season, as the Broncos don't seem thrilled with projected starter Albert Okwuegbunam, who has spent a lot of time playing alongside backups and third-stringers this preseason. Dulcich (hamstring) missed practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: The 2022 third-rounder also sat out Wednesday's session, so consider Dulcich day-to-day as Saturday's preseason opener against the Cowboys approaches. When healthy, Dulcich will look to make his case to secure a key role in Denver's offense alongside returnee Albert Okwuegbunam. No limitations at practice
Dulcich (hamstring) returned to full-speed team drills Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Dulcich took the final step after going through individual drills on consecutive days earlier in the week. His absence from the first week-plus of training camp isn't ideal, but the third-round pick still has plenty of time to make his case for a role on passing downs. Making progress with hamstring
Dulcich (hamstring) has made progress this week, going through individual drills back-to-back days, Andrew Mason of 104.3 The Fan Denver reports.
Analysis: The rookie tight end seemingly is on track to rejoin team drills soon, though head coach Nathaniel Hackett said the Broncos will be careful with him given the nature of hamstring injuries. Dulcich is in the mix for targets at tight end, though Albert Okwuegbunam is the favorite for the starting job and has clear advantages over his new teammate in terms size, speed and experience. Analysis: The Broncos are taking it easy with their rookie third-round pick, and Hackett pointed out that there's still plenty of time for Dulcich to get up to speed before the regular season. Once healthy, Dulcich is expected to compete with Albert Okwuegbunam for playing time at tight end.

Dulcich (hamstring) will be worked back into practice slowly as he nurses an offseason hamstring injury, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Analysis: Coach Nathaniel Hackett said of Dulcich's injury Wednesday, "We want to make sure he can get a certain amount of work. That's why he's just going to be on the side a little bit, and we'll slowly work him back in." It's clear the team is exercising caution with the tight end as he gets back to full strength. Dulcich missed the final week of the Broncos' OTAs as well as the team's two-practice mandatory minicamp due to a minor core muscle pull, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
