Houston signed Hinish to a one-year contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Analysis: Hinish would otherwise have been bound for free agency, but he was able to get a deal done to stick with the Texans for at least one more season. He projects to play a rotational role on the interior of the defensive line again in 2025.

The Texans activated Hinish (undisclosed) from the reserve/injured list Tuesday.
Analysis: Hinish was placed on IR at the end of training camp due to an unspecified injury.
