Back practicing Tuesday
Musgrave (concussion) was spotted practicing Tuesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The Packers won't release their first official Week 5 injury report until Wednesday, but the team is holding an unofficial practice session Tuesday after having last played Thursday night in Week 4. In that 34-20 loss to the Lions, Musgrave exited early and was eventually ruled out due to a concussion. Though the extent of his activity Tuesday isn't clear, the rookie tight end's ability to take the field in any capacity is a sign that he's made some progress through the five-step concussion…read more

Ruled out against Lions
Musgrave (head) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Lions, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Musgrave originally exited the game in the second quarter to be evaluated for a head injury and did not record a catch prior to his exit. Positively, he'll have plenty of time to clear the league's concussion protocol, as the Packers don't play again until Oct. 9. Tucker Kraft and Josiah Deguara have each seen an uptick in playing time with Musgrave sidelined.

Being evaluated for concussion
Musgrave left Thursday's game against the Lions to be evaluated for a concussion, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Musgrave exited in the second quarter and was initially evaluated in the medical tent before heading to the locker room. He failed to make a catch prior to his exit. Josiah Deguara should see an uptick in playing time so long as Musgrave is absent.

Leads team in catches
Musgrave caught six of eight targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Saints.
Analysis: Musgrave was Green Bay's lone source of offense for about three quarters, which ultimately saw him lead the team in receptions. Although his output could have been better had quarterback Jordan Love not missed him on a wide-open seam route during the first half, Musgrave has quickly offered the Packers a quality option at tight end while securing 11 of 15 targets thus far.

Limited to two receptions
Musgrave was targeted three times and caught two passes for 25 yards in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Falcons.
Analysis: Musgrave was held in check, finishing with one fewer reception and half as many yards as he racked up in his Week 1 NFL debut. On the bright side, he was tied for third on the team in targets, and his snap percentage jumped from 75 percent to 88 percent. Without much depth behind him at tight end, expect Musgrave to remain busy.

Long gain in win
Musgrave caught three of four targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Bears.
Analysis: Musgrave finished second on the Packers in receiving yards, with his NFL debut highlighted by a 37-yard gain to begin the fourth quarter. On that play, though, Musgrave was all alone and missed out on an easy touchdown while stumbling to make a relatively routine catch. With a missed connection on another open deep shot earlier, Musgrave's starting tight-end role could lend itself to decent value over the course of his rookie season.

Comes up big on TD drive
Musgrave caught both of his targets for 15 yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason win over Seattle.
Analysis: Both catches came from Jordan Love and went for first downs to help the Packers score a TD on their third series of the game against Seattle's second-string defense. Most of the Green Bay starters were removed thereafter, and it appears Musgrave will be the team's top pass catcher at the position heading into a Week 1 contest at Chicago. While unlikely to take on an every-down role right out of the gate, Musgrave has the size and speed to eventually handle large workloads that include both…read more

Two receptions Saturday
Musgrave caught two of his three targets for 13 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to New England.
Analysis: Musgrave didn't finish with a stat line to write home about, but his three targets did lead all active starters Saturday. The athletic tight end has appeared in both of Green Bay's preseason contests, as he appears to be over the knee injury that limited him to two games in his final year with Oregon State. Musgrave is expected to start and see the lion's share of TE targets with little competition behind him on the depth chart.

Flashes in preseason debut
Musgrave was targeted three times and caught one passes for eight yards in Friday's 36-19 preseason victory over the Bengals.
Analysis: Musgrave did not have a big night in the box score, but he could have had quarterback Jordan Love connected with him on a couple plays that had big yardage written all over them. Regardless of the results, the rookie second-rounder worked as Green Bay's starting tight end and was a factor in the passing game when Love was on the field. Musgrave is well past the knee injury that cut short his final collegiate season and is a player to consider in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.

Working with first-team offense
Musgrave has been getting reps with the first-team offense at OTAs this week, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Analysis: After letting Robert Tonyan walk in free agency, the Packers didn't sign any veteran tight ends but used second- and third-round picks on Musgrave and Tucker Kraft, respectively. Playing time at tight end thus appears to be up for grabs, with fourth-year player Josiah Deguara also in the mix for reps. As for Musgrave, head coach Matt LaFleur has praised the rookie for the speed and size (6-foot-6, 253 pounds) he brings to the table, and he likely profiles as the top receiving threat among the…read more
