Sims had one reception for nine yards on his only target in Sunday's win over Washington.
Analysis: It was surprising to see Sims get a target as he'd played just ten snaps on offense since joining the Vikings in October. However, the Vikings used plenty of three-tight-end sets in the win. Sims isn't likely to get more than a few targets the rest of the season unless injuries strike T.J. Hockenson and Josh Oliver, however.

Healthy scratch Sunday
Sims (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Analysis: The tight end was claimed off waivers by the Vikings on Monday and appeared to have a chance to play, with Josh Oliver dealing with a foot injury.
