    Analysis: Denver has yet to release Friday's official injury report, but Vele will almost certainly be on it, though it remains to be seen whether the rookie wide receiver will be listed as questionable, doubtful or out. After an eight-catch NFL debut Week 1 against the Seahawks, Vele's unlikely to have a significant role if he plays at all Sunday against the Steelers.

    Analysis: Per Tomasson, Vele -- who also didn't practice Wednesday -- was spotted on a side field during Thursday's session.     Vele finished with eight receptions on as many targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 26-20 loss to Seattle.

    Analysis: Vele didn't do a whole lot with the short receptions, as Bo Nix struggled to get the ball downfield to his receivers in the one-score loss. The seventh-round rookie still stood out in the box score over Marvin Mims (no receptions) while tying Josh Reynolds in targets (eight) behind No. 1 wideout Courtland Sutton (12 targets). Vele's heavy involvement makes the rookie wideout a worthy target as an early waiver-wire option in deeper leagues.
