Brooks faces tough odds as a rookie, coming in as a sixth-round pick in a backfield where Chase Brown is expected to handle most of the work and veterans Zack Moss and Samaje Perine will compete for whatever is left. All three have shown they can contribute on passing downs, so Brooks' own versatility may not lead to early chances. Still, if he does get an opening, his college track record suggests he can deliver. At Texas Tech, he piled up 4,557 rushing yards and 45 touchdowns, along with 102 catches, showing a mix of power and balance that could translate well to the NFL. Brooks is no speed demon, but his 4.52 40 was a solid time relative to his combine measurements of 5-foot-9, 214 pounds.
