The Cowboys raised some eyebrows by waiting until the fifth round of the 2025 Draft to address their backfield, eventually selecting Blue, who turned heads with a 4.38-second 40-yard dash at the combine. While his smaller build at 5-foot-9 and 196 pounds might limit how much rushing volume he handles, his versatility stands out. Blue posted a 42-368-6 receiving line in his final season at Texas, along with 730 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 134 carries. After sitting behind Bijan Robinson and Jonathon Brooks earlier in his college career, he shared the Texas backfield with Tre Wisner last year. Now in Dallas, Blue enters a relatively open competition for snaps alongside veterans Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders. With a strong offensive line in place, led by standout interior talent, Blue is stepping into the ideal environment for a late-round rookie to establish fantasy value.
