A sixth-round pick in this year's draft, Borregales is poised to claim New England's placekicking role but must first outshine veteran John Parker Romo in a training camp competition. During his four years starting at the University of Miami, Borregales made 86.5% of his field goals and 99.5% of extra points, with only 13 misses total, including just one in his final season. Last year's kicker, Joey Slye, left in free agency while Romo signed in January after making 11 of 12 field goals and seven of eight extra-point tries in four games for the Vikings last season. The job is Borregales' to win.
