Signs with New York
The Jets signed Cook to the active roster Saturday, Susanna Weir and Eric Allen of the team's official site report.
Analysis: With Justin Fields (knee) ruled out, Cook will be the backup to Tyrod Taylor for Sunday's divisional contest with the Dolphins. The quarterback was elevated twice this season, once in Week 3 to be the backup to Taylor and once in Week 8 to be the backup to Fields.

Analysis: Cook played in all three of the team's preseason games, completing 25 of 38 passes for 235 yards and a touchdown, while he also threw an interception.
