  • Signed from practice squad

    The Browns signed Reid to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday, Brad Stainbrook of 247Sports.com reports.

    Analysis: Reid earns a spot on Cleveland's 53-man roster, which has linebackers Tony Fields (ankle) and Mohamoud Diabate (hip) on IR until at least mid-October. Sunday's matchup against Jacksonville will be telling as to Reid's role, but if he does play, it's probable he contributes mostly on special teams while holding down a reserve role on defense.
