Solid numbers in loss

Lamb caught five of six targets for 65 yards and gained one rushing yard on one carry in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Seahawks.

Analysis: In a vacuum it looks like a solid performance, but Lamb actually finished fourth on the Cowboys in receiving yards on a day when Dak Prescott aired it out 57 times. The rookie wideout has looked good to begin his career, catching 16 of 21 targets for 230 yards and a TD through three games, and he'll try to add to those numbers Week 4 against a Browns defense that's already given up five touchdowns to opposing WRs.

Team's top receiver against Atlanta

Lamb hauled in six of nine targets for 106 receiving yards during Sunday's 40-39 win against the Falcons.

Analysis: The first-round rookie wideout had an encouraging yet modest NFL debut last week, registering 59 receiving yards on five catches. However, Week 2 marked his breakout. Lamb and Amari Cooper torched the depleted Falcons secondary, combining for a dozen catches and more than 200 yards on the afternoon. Analysis: Lamb made a big splash with a 33-yard reception on a deep crossing pattern, but it was otherwise a quiet night for the 17th overall pick in his NFL debut. Lamb has lined up both outside and in the slot during camp and has looked comfortable in all formations, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Analysis: Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore seems intent on finding ways to get the ball into the rookie's hands, as Lamb has been used on jet sweeps and reverses as well. It remains to be seen how big a workload Lamb can carve out working behind established options Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup this season, but he has the talent to make an impact on a per-touch basis even if he doesn't get a lot of volume.

Lamb made a big impression during individual drills Friday by making a spectacular one-handed grab, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis: While the catch itself was noteworthy enough, Lamb also got a chance to showcase his elite body control as he adjusted to a throw that was high and behind him. The rookie also took reps as a punt returner, but it's his ability as a receiver in a potentially high-volume Dallas passing game that gives Lamb such intrigue as a fantasy asset, even with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup ahead of him on the depth chart.

Could make impact as returner

Lamb could be used as the Cowboys' primary punt returner in addition to his duties on offense, Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com reports.

Analysis: Dallas hasn't had a player return a punt for a touchdown since 2017 and didn't have a single punt return over 15 yards last season, so the door is wide open for Lamb to seize the job. The rookie receiver had three returns of 40-plus yards during his college career and an 8.8 yard average on punt returns, and his elusiveness in the open field could make him a weapon on new coach John Fassel's special teams unit.
