Positively, it was still Pickens' most productive performance since a Week 7 win over the Rams and marked only the second time he's topped 50 yards in six games since.

Analysis: The Steelers offense looked much more effective this week after offensive coordinator Matt Canada was fired ahead of Week 12, and Pickens had his best game since tallying 107 receiving yards against the Rams in Week 7. Pickens still could show some inconsistency as the season progresses, but it appears likely that he'll have more upside with a new offensive play caller in Pittsburgh.

Pickens caught two of five targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Panthers.

Analysis: Pickens made another impressive contested catch during the first half, going for 38 yards on what was ultimately Pittsburgh's longest passing play of the game. The rookie only hauled in one other throw his way, but Pickens has still now topped 50 yards in four of his last five games.

Shows off big-play ability

Pickens recorded three receptions on three targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 16-14 loss to the Ravens.

Analysis: Pickens was an afterthought in terms of targets, and he's now seen four or fewer looks in four of his last six games. However, he continued to show off his playmaking ability by recording receptions of 42 and 25 yards. While he has only one touchdown in that span, Pickens has five catches of 20 or more yards in his last four contests.

Limited against Atlanta

Pickens secured one of two targets for two yards during the Steelers' 19-16 win over Atlanta on Sunday.

Analysis: Pickens had racked up at least 50 yards from scrimmage over his three appearances following Pittsburgh's Week 9 bye, but he was held in check during Sunday's narrow win. The rookie second-rounder has been more involved in the Steelers offense after the team traded Chase Claypool to the Bears, and Pickens will have a chance to bounce back with a favorable matchup against a Baltimore secondary in Week 14.

Leading receiver in Week 12 win

Pickens caught three of six targets for 57 yards and also scored a two-point conversion in Monday's 24-17 win over the Colts.

Analysis: Pickens got open in the end zone late in the first half, but rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett overthrew him. The pair linked up for a two-point conversion in the fourth quarter as Pittsburgh pulled ahead 24-17, so Pickens got a chance to celebrate in the end zone after all. The rookie wideout led the team in receiving yards, topping 50 for the fifth time in his last eight games. He'll have a nice opportunity to build on this effort in Week 13 against the vulnerable Atlanta secondary.

Scores TD prior to Week 11 ejection

Pickens caught four of six targets for 83 yards and a touchdown prior to being ejected in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 37-30 loss to the Bengals.

Analysis: After finding the end zone on the ground in Pittsburgh's previous game, Pickens caught his second career receiving touchdown in this one, scoring from 24 yards out in the second quarter. Pickens secured three of four targets for 32 yards while rushing twice for 23 yards and a touchdown during the Steelers' 20-10 win over New Orleans on Sunday.

Analysis: Pickens was held without any touches during Pittsburgh's Week 8 loss to the Eagles, but he reached the end zone for the second time this season as the Steelers returned from the bye week Sunday. The rookie second-rounder should have more opportunities to contribute down the stretch after Chase Claypool was dealt to the Bears ahead of the trade deadline.

No receptions against Philadelphia

Pickens failed to secure any of his three targets during the Steelers' 35-13 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

Analysis: Although Pickens was on the field for 86 percent of Pittsburgh's offensive snaps Sunday, he was held without a reception for the first time in his career. The rookie second-rounder had several productive games over the last few weeks after Kenny Pickett was named the Steelers' starting quarterback, and Pickens will face a more favorable defense against the Saints on Nov. 13 following Pittsburgh's Week 9 bye.
