Posts complete dud
Henry was shut down in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Broncos, recording just two receptions for 10 yards.
Analysis: Mike Williams, Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen accounted for nearly 90 percent of the team's total receiving yards, saddling Henry with easily his worst game of 2019. The dismal outing has to be disappointing for fantasy owners, but Henry has had just four games with 20 or less receiving yards since Week 4 of the 2017 season, so it's fair to assume the star tight end could be poised for a turnaround.

Another nice showing
Henry caught six of nine targets for 69 yards in Monday night's 24-17 loss to the Chiefs. He also hauled in a successful two-point conversion.
Analysis: Henry was again regularly utilized by quarterback Philip Rivers, placing third on the Chargers in both receptions and targets on the evening. His two-point grab also offered a little bonus to another solid fantasy showing. Through seven appearances this season, Henry is averaging 70 receiving yards per game, making him one of the more reliable tight ends across the league.

Gets into end zone during loss
Henry secured four of seven targets for 30 yards and a touchdown in the Chargers' 26-24 loss to the Raiders on Thursday.
Analysis: The highlight of Henry's night came on a two-yard touchdown reception with 8:24 remaining in the second quarter. Otherwise, the third-year tight end was kept quiet, and he was unable to come up with his only target on the Chargers' last-gasp drive in the fourth quarter. Henry had been trending upward in recent games, posting at least 84 receiving yards in three of the four contests prior to Thursday. However, his yardage tally against the Raiders qualified as a season low, so he'll look to…read more

Records 10 targets
Henry caught seven of his 10 targets for 84 yards in the 26-11 win Sunday over the Packers.
Analysis: Henry shredded a Packers defense that had no answers for the continuous combinations of slants and crossing routes Los Angeles threw at them, routinely taking advantage of a slow linebacker corps to run for additional yards after the catch. Much like Antonio Gates in the past, Henry is quickly developing into Rivers' favorite target in the middle of the field, often operating opposite Keenan Allen on crossing patterns to take advantage of both players' expert route-running abilities. Despite…read more

Kept in check
Henry caught four of his six targets for 47 yards in the 17-16 win Sunday over the Bears.
Analysis: This was always going to be a difficult matchup for Henry and the rest of the Chargers, so it seemed likely the third-year tight end would have trouble replicating his previous two weeks figures. In a game in which quarterback Philip Rivers completed just 19 passes, it's a positive sign that Henry netted over a fifth of the looks, and it seems likely the 24-year-old will continue to be an elite option at the fantasy tight end position, especially with a handful of easier matchups to come.

Another big game
Henry hauled in six of his eight targets for 97 yards in Week 7 against the Titans.
Analysis: Henry was a major part of the Chargers' passing attack once again, tying for second on the team with his eight targets. He accounted for several big plays, highlighted by two 23-yard receptions in the fourth quarter. The team and quarterback Philip Rivers want Henry to be a big part of the offensive gamplan; he's amassed 17 targets in two games since returning from a knee injury. Given the landscape of the tight end position, Henry is quickly turning into an elite option, though he will draw a…read more

Catches two TDs in return
Henry (knee) caught eight of his nine targets for 100 yards and two touchdowns in the 24-17 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
Analysis: So much for concerns about a limited snap count. The starting tight end was making his return to the field after a four-game absence due to a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee. Henry was the primary beneficiary of a spirited fourth-quarter rally, catching three passes, including two touchdowns, in the fourth quarter. With the Steelers' defense hell-bent on stopping Keenan Allen, both Henry and Mike Williams received the largest target volume as the two combined for 19 targets, although…read more

Returns to lineup Sunday
Henry (knee) is listed as active for Sunday night's game against the Steelers.
Analysis: Henry -- who suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Week 1 -- will give it a go Sunday night, but Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com previously relayed that coach Anthony Lynn seems inclined to limit the tight end's snaps in his return to action. Henry is thus a speculative fantasy play in Week 6, but as long as he avoids any setbacks as the season rolls along, he figures to see his workload increase incrementally in the coming weeks.

Expected to play Sunday
Henry (knee), who is listed as questionable on the official injury report, is expected to play Sunday night against Pittsburgh, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Henry was able to fully practice Friday, so it looks like he will return after missing four games. However, the Chargers' late kickoff presents some risk for fantasy owners, as his status may not be known until 90 minutes before the 8:20 p.m. EDT kickoff. Even if does return, Henry -- who suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Week 1 -- could be eased into action with a reduced workload.

Listed as questionable, may be limited
Henry (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Steelers after practicing fully Friday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Per Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com, coach Anthony Lynn noted that the team will have a jog-through Saturday and see how Henry is doing at that point. "If (it) feels good, then yeah, I'll put him out there for a few plays," Lynn indicated Friday. With that, as well as the Chargers' late kickoff in mind, Henry is a risky fantasy roll Week 6. Logs another limited practice Thursday
Henry (knee) remained limited at practice Thursday.
Analysis: That Henry was able to log another limited practice session implies that things went well for him in his return to the field Wednesday. It remains to be seen, however, if the tight end is a candidate to return to action this weekend against the Steelers, with Friday's final Week 6 injury report hopefully adding clarity on that front, especially given the team's 8:20 ET kickoff Sunday night.

Listed as limited participant
Henry (knee) was limited at practice Wednesday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: It remains to be seen if the tight end will be able to suit up Sunday night against the Steelers, but Henry -- who suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Week 1 -- is clearly progressing to the point at which he's a candidate to re-enter the fantasy equation as soon as he's able to log his usual complement of snaps.

On track to return to practice
Henry (knee) is slated to practice in a limited capacity Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Henry, who suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Week 1, thus continues to trend in the right direction as Sunday's game against the Steelers approaches. It remains to be seen if the tight end will progress to the point that he'll be active this weekend, but Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com previously relayed via coach Anthony Lynn that Henry "was moving around pretty good last week" while working with trainers.

May get practice reps soon
Coach Anthony Lynn said Monday that Henry (knee) could participate in practice this week, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports. "He was moving around pretty good last week," Lynn said. "So we'll see if we can try to work him in [to practice] this week. But there's no guarantee he'll be back."
Analysis: Henry worked on the side with trainers in practice last week, and a return to team practices is the next step in his recovery. Even if he's able to get on the practice field, though, he's still considered a long shot to play Sunday versus the Steelers unless he can elevate to full participation and take contact. Henry appears to have a good shot at playing Week 7 versus the Titans, however, and he's be a decent waiver-wire stash given how consistent tight ends are a commodity once again.

Resumes running
Henry was running sprints with a brace on his injured left knee at the portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: While Henry should still be listed as a non-participant on the Chargers' Thursday injury report, his activity off to the side suggests he's making some steady progress in his recovery from a left tibia plateau fracture. When Henry was diagnosed with the injury Sept. 11, his initial timeline called for a 4-to-6-week recovery, so counting on him returning to action in Week 6 versus Pittsburgh may be a tad ambitious.

Making progress
Henry (knee) was spotted on the field in shorts and a T-shirt working on his own during practice Wednesday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Meanwhile, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com notes that Henry is improving at this stage, with coach Anthony Lynn indicating that the team will see where the tight end is at later this week. Though Henry isn't a candidate to play in Week 5, the progress he appears to be making is encouraging.

Likely out 4-to-6 weeks
Henry's (knee) tibia plateau fracture could keep him sidelined for around 4-to-6 weeks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: With Henry out for at least the next few games, Virgil Green and Sean Culkin are next up in the team's tight-end pecking order. Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com notes that long-time Charger Antonio Gates "has not closed the door on a potential return," but it's unclear if Los Angeles intends to reach out to the 39-year-old.

Slated to miss time
Henry suffered a tibia plateau fracture to his left knee in Sunday's 30-24 overtime win over the Colts, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: A timeline for Henry's return to action hasn't yet been determined, but it's clear that he's going to miss some game time. Next up on the Chargers' depth chart at tight end is Virgil Green, though it wouldn't be shocking if the team reached out to Antonio Gates if the veteran is interested in a reunion.

Posts 60 in second half
Henry caught four of his five targets for 60 yards in the overtime victory Sunday over the Colts.
Analysis: Henry was shut out in the first half, but the tight end found his stride in the second, ultimately overshadowing wide receivers Mike Williams and Travis Benjamin. The 24-year-old is likely no better than No. 4 in terms of quarterback Phillip Rivers' favorite pass catchers, but situated in an explosive offense he'll likely continue to be a high-ceiling, moderate-floor fantasy option at his position.

Quiet performance in preseason loss
Henry caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's preseason loss to the Saints.
Analysis: The Chargers didn't give many snaps to their first-team offense, and after Henry made a grab on the first possession he quickly made his way to the sidelines. The fourth-year tight end missed all of last season due to an ACL tear, so a restricted exhibition workload is to be expected, but with Antonio Gates having ridden off into the sunset, the path is clear for Henry to finally live up to his billing as the 35th overall pick in the 2016 draft.

Pair of grabs in preseason opener
Henry secured both of his targets for 15 yards in the Chargers' 17-13 preseason loss to the Cardinals on Thursday.
Analysis: It wasn't officially Henry's return to action following his May 2018 ACL tear, as he had played 14 snaps in last January's AFC Championship loss to the Patriots. However, the fourth-year tight end recorded statistics in a game for the first time since December 2017, the first step toward preparing for what is expected to be an extensive role in 2019. Flashes excellent hands
Henry (knee) made a handful of impressive catches during OTAs, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Now a year removed from tearing his ACL, Henry looks fully healthy entering his fourth professional season. Considering veteran mainstay Antonio Gates hasn't re-signed with the Chargers and Virgil Green remains around purely as a blocking tight end, the 24-year-old could be in position for a major chunk of the team's target share, particularly between the 20s. Keeps progressing nicely
Head coach Anthony Lynn said Tuesday that Henry (knee) has looked healthy this offseason, and expects him to be a full-go for training camp, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Henry is now a year removed from undergoing knee surgery to repair a torn ACL. The tight end himself echoed his coach's sentiments earlier this offseason, acknowledging that his knee feels good throughout training. Targets have been a concern at the tight end position in Los Angeles, considering how heavily the team has relied upon Melvin Gordon and Keenan Allen in recent years, but a healthy Henry could be a breakout fantasy candidate for 2019.

Feeling good at offseason program
Henry said his surgically repaired right knee feels good, but he did acknowledge feeling occasional soreness after workouts, Ricky Henne of the Chargers 'official website reports. "I'm pretty much full-go," Henry said Monday. "Everything feels good. It still gets sore every once in a while, but it's nothing too bad. It's nothing that's crazy. It's just a workout soreness."
Analysis: The 24-year-old tight end didn't have any limitations Monday when the Chargers opened their offseason program with the usual strength and conditioning work. Henry's full participation shouldn't come as any surprise given that he played 14 snaps in a Jan. 13 playoff loss to the Patriots less than eight months after suffering an ACL tear. Slated for rehab-free offseason
General manager Tom Telesco recently said Henry (knee) is on track to be ready for the first day of OTAs, Al Butler of United Press International reports.
Analysis: Henry tore his ACL in OTAs last offseason and remarkably made it back to log 14 snaps in the Chargers' second playoff game Jan. 13. The tight end admitted he wasn't 100 percent at that point, though, and his lowly playing time clearly reflected that. It's still notable he didn't suffer any significant setbacks, so it appears he'll have a full, rehab-free offseason to prepare for the 2019 campaign.

Still working his way back
Henry, who returned to game action in the Chargers' Jan. 13 playoff loss to the Patriots, acknowledged that he's still not 100 percent at this stage, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: The tight end only played 14 snaps on offense in his first contest since suffering a torn ACL back in May, but Henry's mere presence on the field following his impressive recovery timetable bodes well for his chances of regaining top form in advance of the 2019 season. With that in mind, he will continue on his rehab path over the next few months leading up to the start of the Chargers' offseason program April 15. Sees minimal work in season debut
Henry (knee) played 14 of the Chargers' 71 offensive snaps in Sunday's 41-28 loss to the Patriots in the divisional round. He failed to reel in his lone target of the contest.
Analysis: Cleared to suit up less than eight months after tearing the ACL in his right knee, Henry was only able to contribute in a minimal capacity. Fellow tight ends Antonio Gates (44) and Virgil Green (21) both earned more snaps, even though the Chargers' pass-heavy game script would have typically favored Henry. Suits up Sunday
Henry (knee) is listed as active for Sunday's playoff game against the Patriots.
Analysis: Henry, who is bouncing back from surgery to repair his ACL back in May, will thus make his season debut for the Chargers on Sunday. Prior to suffering his injury, the 24-year-old displayed plenty of promise as a pass catcher, and his return to the mix gives QB Philip Rivers another option in the passing game. Expected to play Sunday
Henry (knee) is expected to suit up for Sunday's divisional-round playoff game against the Patriots, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Official confirmation of his status will arrive upon the release of the Chargers' inactives in advance of the team's 1:05 ET contest, but it appears as though Henry, who has been recovering from a torn right ACL that he suffered back in May, will make his season debut Sunday. In such a scenario, he'll provide QB Philip Rivers with another pass-catching weapon, but it's expected that the tight end will be on some sort of "pitch count" in his return to action.

Officially questionable for Sunday
Henry (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional-round game in New England, Sam Fortier of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: The Chargers activated Henry from the PUP list Monday, which marked the final day of the 21-day window in which to evaluate him and make sure his right knee could handle game action. Clearly, the team still has some questions regarding the stability of that knee, despite handling every practice rep thrown his way this week. The Chargers have activated Henry (knee) from the team's PUP list.
Analysis: Prior to suffering a torn ACL back in May, Henry was viewed as an ascending talent at the tight end position. Now that he's back in the mix, he'll look to regain that momentum, but it's unclear how much work he'll see in Sunday's divisional-round playoff game against the Patriots. Though Henry (knee) won't play Sunday against the Ravens, he would likely be activated from the Chargers' PUP list should the team advance to the divisional round of the playoffs, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Henry, who tore his ACL back in May, has bounced back remarkably well from what seemed destined to sideline him for the entirety of the 2018 campaign (postseason included), but should the Chargers get past the Ravens on Sunday, it appears as though he'll be activated Monday. Coach Anthony Lynn said the Chargers haven't made a decision about Henry (knee) playing in Sunday's wild-card game in Baltimore but noted that the tight end will be on a "pitch count" if he suits up, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Henry seems to be closing in on a return from a torn ACL in near-record time, with an appearance Sunday marking a little more than seven and a half months from the initial injury. Before that comes to fruition, though, he'll have to activated from the PUP list. As a result, he didn't appear on Wednesday's practice report because he has yet to rejoin the 53-man roster. General manager Tom Telesco hasn't ruled out Henry (knee) being available for the wild-card round, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.

Henry (knee) returned to practice Monday, opening a 21-day window for the Chargers to place him on the active roster or rule him out for the rest of the season.
Analysis: Cleared for individual drills less than seven months after suffering an ACL tear, Henry seems to be enjoying an unusually rapid recovery with eyes toward suiting up at some point during the playoffs.
