Signs with NFC South foe
Armah signed with the Saints on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Armah played 55 games for the Panthers over the past four seasons. He was mostly used in a blocking role, but he managed to score three touchdowns anyway. This signing likely means that fullback Michael Burton won't return to New Orleans. Burton averaged roughly 14 offensive snaps per game in 2020, so Armah can expect a similar role during his first season in the Big Easy.

Plays all 16 games
Armah finished the 2020 season with six rushes for nine yards and five receptions on nine targets for 18 yards in 16 games.
Analysis: Armah once again served as Carolina's fullback, playing all 16 games for a third straight season. Unlike the prior two campaigns, though, Armah wasn't able to find the end zone at all, and he was featured on less than 15 percent of the Panthers' total offensive snaps. As one of the few true fullbacks in the league with experience filling an occasional offensive role, the veteran should garner interest as a free agent this offseason.

Secures only target
Armah hauled in his only target during Sunday's 32-27 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: Armah's lone catch only got back to the line of scrimmage, but it's notable that he did draw a look in the red zone for the first time since Week 6. On a less positive note, the fullback has played just seven combined offensive snaps over the last two weeks. That's his lowest usage over a two-game stretch all season.

Garners one target
Armah failed to catch his lone target during Sunday's win over the Lions.
Analysis: The 26-year-old continues to see a handful of snaps per contest, and he averaged less than one touch per game. Armah has five carries for six yards and three catches for nine yards in 11 games this season.

Catches one pass
Armah caught his only target for 14 yards in Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: Armah already has three touches through Carolina's first two games, as coordinator Joe Brady looks to diversify his options out of the backfield with occasional fullback usage. Although Armah's production hasn't been anything special, he at least gets rewarded for his blocking with a touch here and there. Furthermore, if tailback Christian McCaffrey, who exited late with an ankle concern Sunday, is limited going forward, Armah could stand to get a couple more looks in Week 3 versus the Chargers.

Rushes twice Sunday
Armah finished with two carries for one yard in Sunday's 34-30 loss to the Raiders.
Analysis: Armah got a chance to score with a carry from the four-yard line to start the fourth quarter, but the fullback could only manage a yard up the middle. He then was trusted on a critical fourth-and-one call with under two minutes left, but he was stuffed for no gain. Although Armah is unlikely to garner more touches in upcoming weeks, it's noteworthy that his number was called in those situations, even if he failed to take advantage of them. On the bright side, he helped pave the way for another…read more

Scores touchdown this season
Armah finished the 2019 season with six carries for 11 yards and a touchdown and two receptions for six yards across 16 games.
Analysis: Armah again served as Carolina's fullback this season, and though that role doesn't lend itself to much fantasy value, he was at least turned in a one-yard touchdown plunge in Week 1. The veteran remains under contract with the Panthers next season, so expect him to reprise his usual duties as a lead blocker for star running back Christian McCaffrey.
