Joins Dallas' practice squad
Harmon signed with Dallas' practice squad Wednesday, Todd Archer of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Harmon will stay in Dallas despite having been waived Tuesday. The 26-year-old hasn't appeared in a regular season game since 2019 when he caught 30 passes for 365 yards for the Commanders but he will look for an opportunity to be elevated this season.

Cut by Cowboys
Dallas waived Harmon on Tuesday.
Analysis: Harmon signed with the Cowboys in late July while CeeDee Lamb was holding out for a contract extension. Harmon played in all three preseason games, registering five catches for 70 yards. The 2019 sixth-round pick will explore his next options should he clear waivers.

Signs contract with Dallas
The Cowboys signed Harmon to a contract Saturday, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Harmon is one of two receivers Dallas signed Saturday in the wake of top wideout CeeDee Lamb's holdout. The 26-year-old Harmon last played in the NFL for Washington in 2019, when he caught 30 passes for 365 yards and no touchdowns over 16 games. Harmon tore his ACL in July of 2020 and had been working with Washington's practice squad since recovering the following June.

Waived by Washington
The Commanders waived Harmon on Tuesday.
Analysis: Harmon signed a reserve/future contract with Washington at the conclusion of last season, but he'll likely have to settle for another practice squad gig in 2022. The 2019 sixth-round pick hasn't logged a regular-season snap since his rookie campaign in 2019, when he caught 30 passes for 365 yards and zero touchdowns across 16 appearances.

Remains in Washington
Harmon signed a reserve/future contract with Washington on Monday.
Analysis: Harmon didn't see game action in 2021 and spent most of the season on Washington's practice squad. He hasn't logged a regular-season snap since his rookie campaign in 2019, when he caught 30 passes for 365 yards and zero touchdowns in 16 games.

Back with Washington
Washington re-signed Harmon to the practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Harmon was released from the practice squad just one day ago, but he now returns to the scout team with Chris Blewitt having been promoted. The 2019 sixth-round pick hasn't suited up for NFL action since his rookie season.

Jettisoned from practice squad
Washington cut Harmon from the practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Harmon, a 2019 sixth-round pick, has not suited up for NFL action since playing 16 games in his rookie season. The former North Carolina State standout will now turn his attention toward carving out a role elsewhere in the league, perhaps with a team that doesn't possess as much depth at wide receiver as Washington.

Back with WFT's practice squad
Harmon has signed a deal to join Washington's practice squad.
Analysis: After getting drafted by Washington in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Harmon was cut by the team midway through August. The receiver will rejoin the team, however, this time on the practice squad. With Curtis Samuel coming off the IR list soon, Harmon likely won't get pulled up to Washington's active roster anytime soon.

Let go by Washington
Harmon has been cut by Washington, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Coach Ron Rivera noted that Harmon's exit is indicative of Washington's depth at the wideout position. As JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington points out, the timing of the move gives Harmon -- who had been working mostly with the squad's third-teamers -- a chance to sign elsewhere and make a run at a 53-man roster spot.

Back from knee injury
Harmon (knee) practiced in pads Sunday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: The leg injury that had bothered Harmon has been specified as a knee injury, but either way, he's over it and back at practice. The 2019 sixth-round pick should suit up in Thursday's preseason opener against the Patriots.

Tending to leg injury
Harmon (leg) isn't taking part in Friday's practice, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Harmon left Thursday's session early with what was termed a leg injury, per John Keim of ESPN.com. After missing all of last season due to a torn ACL suffered July 2020, Harmon was able to participate in the offseason program and early stages of training camp, but now another issue of unknown severity is keeping him on the sideline.

Returns from ACL tear
Harmon (knee) is taking part in practices at OTAs Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Analysis: Making his way back from the ACL tear he suffered last July, the young wideout reportedly caught everyone's attention with a diving catch during Wednesday's session. Harmon was one of the favorites for the No. 2 receiver job in Washington at this time last year, but heading into the 2021 season, he'll be part of a deep group competing for the third and fourth spots behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel. He'll face competition for those spots from Adam Humphries, Cam Sims and Antonio…read more

Placed on NFI list
Harmon (knee) was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list Saturday.
Analysis: Harmon sustained a torn ACL in July and will miss the 2020 season, so he'll remain on the NFI list this year. The 2019 sixth-round pick performed well in his rookie season with a 30-365-0 line, so he'll set his focus on getting back to full health for 2021. Dontrelle Inman and Antonio Gandy-Golden will battle for reps on the outside, across from Terry McLaurin.

Moved to NFI list
Washington placed Harmon (knee) on the active/non-football injury list Monday.
Analysis: During preparations for his second pro campaign, Harmon suffered a torn ACL, ensuring he won't see the field in 2020. As a rookie sixth-rounder last season, he capped it with a 22-290-0 line on 35 targets over the final seven games. Look for Antonio Gandy-Golden, a fourth-round pick this year, to help pick up the slack on the outside opposite Terry McLaurin.

Tears ACL
Harmon suffered a torn ACL while training this summer, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: The 2019 sixth-round pick enjoyed a solid finish to his rookie season, averaging 3.1 catches for 41.4 yards on 5.0 targets over the final seven games. Harmon was expected to compete for a starting job during training camp, but he'll instead turn his focus to rehabbing for 2021. He had surgery last week and says he's doing well. Meanwhile, rookie fourth-round pick Antonio Gandy-Golden now has a better chance to earn outside snaps.

Facing competition from rookies
Harmon could face competition from rookie draft picks Antonio Gibson (third round) and Antonio Gandy-Golden (fourth round), John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Gibson is arguably more of a threat to slot man Steven Sims or even passing-down back J.D. McKissic, while Gandy-Golden is a direct competitor for the perimeter snaps that went to Harmon throughout the second half of last season. The 2019 sixth-round pick finished his rookie season with a 68.2 percent catch rate and 8.3 yards per target, but he never became a player that demanded heavy volume, drawing no more than six targets in any one game. Finishes year with 365 yards
Harmon caught three of five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 47-16 loss to Dallas, finishing his rookie season with 30 receptions for 365 yards on 44 targets.
Analysis: The sixth-round pick had no more than 58 yards in any game and never scored a touchdown, but he did play at least 66 percent of offensive snaps in seven consecutive games to close out the season, averaging 3.1 catches for 41.4 yards on 5.0 targets over that stretch. While fellow rookies Terry McLaurin (concussion) and Steven Sims Jr. held far more appeal for fantasy managers, Harmon did well to catch 68.2 percent of his chances for 8.3 yards per target in an offense that finished the season…read more

Delivers season-best yardage
Harmon caught five of six passes for 58 yards and completed his lone pass attempt for 11 yards during Sunday's 41-35 overtime loss to the Giants.
Analysis: Harmon provided his most productive outing of the season as he finished second among Washington's wide receivers in offensive snaps, only one snap behind Terry McLaurin. The rookie sixth-round pick has enjoyed a strong second half of the season working as the team's No. 3 wide receiver, catching 19 passes for 257 yards in the last six games.

Two receptions in start
Harmon recorded two receptions on three targets for 22 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: He got the start Sunday alongside Terry McLaurin and Steven Sims after Paul Richardson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve. Harmon now has 14 receptions for 199 yards in the past five contests and could see his reps continue to climb over the final two games of the year.

Filling in for Richardson
Harmon is expected to start in Washington's final three games of the season after Paul Richardson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site
Analysis: Harmon had already been seeing starter-level snaps while Richardson missed three of the Redskins' previous four games and was pulled early in the other due to injury. Between those four contests, Harmon combined to produce 12 receptions for 177 yards and no touchdowns on 21 targets. Though Harmon should draw a decent amount of targets the rest of the way, he'll likely struggle to translate those looks into useful fantasy production while rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins directs one of the…read more

Catches long pass
Harmon caught one for four targets for 30 yards during Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Packers.
Analysis: The 21-year-old got down to the two-yard line with his 30-yard reception in the second quarter, setting up a Washington touchdown. Harmon actually ranked second among Redskins wideouts with 55 offensive snaps (behind Terry McLaurin), though Steven Sims was still more involved with four catches on seven targets. The rookie sixth-round pick could continue seeing a higher snap share if Paul Richardson (hamstring) and Trey Quinn (concussion) remain sidelined, but the inconsistency of Washington's…read more

Ready for another start
Harmon is poised to make another start Sunday against the Packers with Paul Richardson (hamstring) ruled out for the contest, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site reports.
Analysis: Harmon played at least two-thirds of the Redskins' offensive snaps each of the past three weeks, averaging 3.7 catches for 49 yards on 5.7 targets. He's made a nice case to keep his starting job if/when Richardson returns from the hamstring injury, but it's difficult to find fantasy upside in a passing game led by rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins.

Leads team in receiving
Harmon caught three of five targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 29-21 win over the Panthers.
Analysis: With Paul Richardson inactive due to a hamstring injury, Harmon played 84 percent of snaps on offense en route to leading the team in both targets and receiving yards. It was his third week in a row with five or more targets and 43 or more yards, with the NC State product emerging as a solid complement to fellow rookie Terry McLaurin, who caught two of four passes for eight yards in Sunday's game. There's a good chance McLaurin and Harmon will continue to take most of the snaps even if…read more

Filling in for Paul Richardson
Harmon is expected to serve as one of Washington's starting receivers Sunday at Carolina with Paul Richardson (hamstring) ruled out, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site reports.
Analysis: The rookie technically has started five of 11 games, but he's only surpassed a 60 percent snap share the past two weeks, catching eight of 12 targets for 96 yards in that span. Harmon played 92 percent of snaps two weeks ago when Richardson was inactive, so a workload on that level could be on tap versus the Panthers.

Targeted six times in win
Harmon caught three of six passes for 43 yards during Sunday's 19-16 win over the Lions.
Analysis: The rookie wideout's production was supposed to take a hit with the return of Paul Richardson, but Harmon still managed to see six targets for the second consecutive week. He did most of his damage early in the fourth quarter, making a leaping catch over the middle off play action for a gain of 26 yards. Sunday brings a matchup against a solid Panthers pass defense. Playing Harmon could be a risk, both due to the possibility of Richardson rounding back into form and the overall struggles…read more

Could see fewer snaps
Coach Bill Callahan said he isn't sure how Harmon's role will change with Paul Richardson returning from a hamstring injury for Sunday's game against the Lions, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site reports.
Analysis: The rookie had already been eating into the veteran's playing time before Richardson sat out last week's 34-17 loss to the Jets. Harmon finished the afternoon with season highs across the board, catching five of six targets for 53 yards on a 92 percent snap share. It's a safe bet the 22-year-old stays involved in some capacity, but he may drop back to a lesser role now that Richardson is healthy again.

Second to McLaurin among 'Skins WRs
Harmon caught five of six targets for 53 receiving yards during Sunday's 34-17 loss to the Jets.
Analysis: The N.C. State product may see an uptick in involvement over the latter half of the season with Washington out of the playoff mix and likely aiming to evaluate its own personnel before embarking on a sure-to-be active offseason. Harmon had not been targeted more than twice in any game prior to Week 11, but against the Jets, he garnered two more targets than any other Redskins player. Monitoring his involvement in Week 12 against Detroit's struggling pass defense will be a worthwhile endeavor,…read more

Gets more playing time
Harmon caught one of two targets for six yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Bills.
Analysis: It didn't show up on the stat sheet, but Harmon actually took some playing time away from Paul Richardson, who caught four of five targets for 42 yards while playing 47 percent of the snaps on offense. Harman took 49 percent, his most in a game since Week 4 when Terry McLaurin was inactive due to injury. With any hope for a competitive season long gone, the Redskins may take a closer look at Harmon after a Week 10 bye.
