Re-signs with Jaguars
The Jaguars re-signed Campbell to a one-year contract Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Analysis: Campbell wasn't tendered as a restricted free agent but is still going back to Jacksonville for 2023. He appeared in just five games last season, seeing a total of 41 snaps on defense and special teams.

Won't debut Sunday
Campbell (not injury related) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos.
Analysis: Campbell signed with the Jaguars on Thursday following the placement of Shaquill Griffin (back) on injured reserve. Campbell will remain out for Week 8 as he presumably tries to learn his new team's playbook. The undrafted defensive back appeared in 30 contests over the last two campaigns with the Chargers, but he's yet to play in a game this season.

Finds new home
Campbell signed with the Jaguars on Thursday.
Analysis: Campbell's signing comes one day after Jacksonville placed Shaquill Griffin (back) on IR. The 29-year-old was waived from injured reserve by the Chargers in September after playing in 16 games for them last season. Campbell finished the 2021 season having recorded 40 tackles, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown. Campbell will likely shore up the depth in the Jaguars' secondary, although he could earn a bigger role as he adapts to his new team.

Lands workout with Bears
Campbell (undisclosed) received a tryout with Chicago on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Campbell was placed on IR by the Chargers on Aug. 25 and waived Sept. 13. However, the 29-year-old appears to be fully recovered from whatever injury he was dealing with. Now healthy, if he is unable to get a deal with the Bears, he'll likely continue to pursue opportunities elsewhere.

Let go Tuesday
Campbell (undisclosed) was waived from IR on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Campbell reverted to IR on Aug. 25 after going unclaimed on the waiver wire. The 29-year-old was originally considered day-to-day with a soft tissue injury at the start of camp, but he was unable to recover enough to compete. Campbell now will be free to find an opportunity elsewhere once he is healthy.

Reverts to injured reserve
Campbell (undisclosed) reverted to IR on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
Analysis: Campbell was believed to be dealing with a soft tissue injury that left him with a day-to-day recovery time. However, he was eventually waived with an injury designation, and he reverted to IR after clearing waivers. If Vaughn is able to reach an injury settlement with the team, he'll be free to pursue opportunities with other clubs.

Let go by Bolts
The Chargers waived Campbell (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Campbell was dealing with a soft tissue injury at the beginning of training camp and never cleared the issue. He'll revert to the Chargers' injured reserve list if he clears waivers.

Not at camp
Campbell (undisclosed) didn't practice Wednesday, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Analysis: Coach Brandon Staley said Campbell is dealing with a "soft tissue" injury and suggested he's day-to-day. The 29-year-old corner appeared in 16 games and recorded 40 tackles in 2021 and figures to provide depth to an already-strong Chargers secondary once he returns.

Returns from COVID list
Campbell (illness) has been activated from the Chargers' reserve/COVID-19 list, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Campbell's absence in the Chargers' Week 16 loss to the Texans was his first of the season. With several other starters in the defensive backfield still on the COVID list, his return will certainly be welcomed.

Goes on COVID-19 list
The Chargers placed Campbell on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
Analysis: According to Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times, head coach Brandon Staley labeled Campbell as day-to-day, which would seem to suggest that the 28-year-old cornerback is on the list as a vaccinated player that tested positive for the virus. Per the NFL's new COVID-19 protocols, Campbell will be eligible to rejoin the team as soon as he's deemed to be asymptomatic. Campbell thus has an outside shot of gaining clearance prior to Sunday's game against the Texans. He's appeared in all 14 of the…read more

Ready to take on Eagles
Campbell (groin) is active for Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
Analysis: Campbell was added to the injury report Saturday after logging full practices all week. However, he'll be ready to suit up and will be a key part of the Chargers' secondary due to the absences of both Michael Davis (hamstring) and Asante Samuel (concussion).

Added to injury report
Campbell (groin) was added to the injury report Saturday and is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles.
Analysis: Campbell has been a key piece of the Chargers secondary this year, serving as the third option behind Asante Samuel and Michael Davis. In his potential absence, Chris Harris, Ryan Smith, and Kemon Hall would see more opportunities.

Waived by Chargers
The Chargers waived Campbell on Monday.
Analysis: With Michael Davis expected to be reinstated from a two-game suspension for Week 15, the Chargers cleared room on the roster for him. Campbell will look to latch onto another roster around the league, but he's more likely to be a practice squad candidate.

Waived by Chargers
Campbell was waived by the Chargers on Saturday.
Analysis: Perilously thin at safety, the Chargers signed Shalom Luani to the active roster, cutting Campbell as a result. The depth cornerback is a likely candidate for the practice squad should he pass through waivers.
