Let go by Baltimore
Fry was waived by the Ravens on Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Fry signed with the Ravens last weekend after being waived by the Bears, and he served as the team's kicker in Thursday's preseason finale. The 24-year-old had no chance of making the team with Justin Tucker healthy, but he showcased himself well by making field goals from 21 and 48 yards while converting both extra-point attempts.

Heading to Baltimore
Fry inked a contract with the Ravens on Sunday.
Analysis: Fry was recently let go by the Bears after he lost the kicking battle with Eddy Pineiro. The South Carolina product could have signed with a better organization for his chances of making a team, considering the most accurate kicker in NFL history, Justin Tucker, resides on the roster. Fry will be the third kicker on the roster, behind Tucker and Cameron Nizialek.

Let go by Chicago
The Bears waived Fry on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: In what was assumed to be an even battle up to this point with fellow kicker Eddie Pineiro, the South Carolina product was let go. Fry seemed to have taken the lead early, after he made a 43-yard field goal in the team's first preseason game, even after the Panthers iced him. Fry is clear to sign elsewhere and could be an intriguing option even if a team wants to put pressure on its assumed starter to perform.

Makes only field-goal attempt
Fry took the early lead in the Bears' kicking competition, Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: Ironically, Fry's only field-goal attempt was 'The Parkey Kick"- 43 yards toward the north goalpost, after a timeout to ice him. After knocking the kick right down the middle, the home crowd erupted, and Fry likely felt some of the pressure subside. He also benefited in the competition when teammate Eddie Pineiro missed a 48-yard attempt. It's likely that this competition will continue for the next couple weeks, but the winner may be a strong fantasy option as part of an emerging offense that…read more

Even in kicker battle
General manager Ryan Pace said Monday that Fry and Eddy Pineiro are evenly matched in the Bears' offseason kicker competition, Larry Mayer of the Bears' official site reports.
Analysis: Chicago's starting kicker job will be decided in training camp and could come down to the wire with Fry and Pineiro currently neck and neck. Fry is coming off an impressive stint in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football, in which he converted all 14 of his field-goal tries with the Orlando Apollos. He faces strong competition in Pineiro, who appeared on track to start for the Raiders in 2018 before sustaining a season-ending groin injury during the preseason.
