Lands with Washington
The Commanders signed Strachan to their practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Strachan is back with Washington after spending a couple weeks with the organization prior to being let go earlier in November. He's yet to play in a game this season and has a career 6-130-0 receiving line on 15 targets across 23 contests.

Gets let go
Strachan was cut from the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday.
Analysis: Strachan failed to make the Colts' 53-man roster out of training camp and ultimately linked up with Washington in October. In a corresponding move, the Commanders signed Efe Obada to their practice squad.

Signs with practice squad
Strachan signed with the Commanders' practice squad Tuesday, Zach Selby of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: The wide receiver was waived by the Panthers in August after playing on 54 preseason snaps and catching one pass. Strachan has six catches for 130 yards and no touchdowns in 23 regular-season games across three seasons. The 2021 seventh-round pick's last catch came in 2023.

Out in Carolina
The Panthers waived Strachan on Tuesday.
Analysis: Strachan played 54 preseason snaps for the Panthers but finished with just one catch for seven yards. He appeared in four games for Carolina last season, catching one 45-yard pass on three targets. Strachan has six career grabs for 130 yards and recently turned 27 years old.

Plays four games
Strachan finished the regular season with one catch on three targets for 45 yards in four games.
Analysis: Strachan featured for a career-low amount of games since entering the league as a seventh-round pick in 2021. Although he's under contract with the Panthers for next season, Strachan will have to earn a roster spot under a new front office.

Stays sidelined
Strachan (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Jaguars.
Analysis: Strachan will be a healthy scratch for the third consecutive week as the Panthers choose to dress just four wide receivers. The Charleston product will have one more chance to suit up with Carolina this season in Week 18.

Healthy scratch Sunday
Strachan (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Packers.
Analysis: Strachan will be a healthy scratch for the second straight week as the Panthers will choose to dress just four wide receivers for Week 16. The Charleston product has just one catch on three targets for 45 yards in his four games with the Panthers this season.

Will not play
Strachan (coach's decision) will not play in Sunday's matchup with the Falcons, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official website reports.
Analysis: Strachan made his debut on the active roster in Week 10 and subsequently played four out of five weeks. His absence Sunday indicates Carolina is comfortable going with thinner depth at wide receiver in favor of more depth somewhere else on the roster.

Joins active roster
Carolina signed Strachan to its active roster Friday.
Analysis: Strachan has bounced back and forth between the Panthers' active roster and practice squad this season, and he's appeared in two games thus far. In those appearances, the third-year wideout was able to catch one of his two targets for 45 yards. Strachan's signing is likely in response to Laviska Shenault (ankle) shifting to injured reserve Thursday.

Elevated ahead of Week 11
The Panthers elevated Strachan from their practice squad to their active roster Saturday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis: Strachan will be active on gameday for the second straight week after catching one of two targets for 45 yards against the Bears in Week 10. The third-year wideout has shown a penchant for big plays in his limited NFL action, as three of his six career catches have gone for 20-plus yards. Strachan is unlikely to see enough snaps against the Cowboys on Sunday to be a fantasy target, however.

Back to practice squad
Strachan reverted to the Panthers' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Analysis: Strachan was elevated from Carolina's practice squad prior to Thursday's loss to the Bears. It was his first time suiting up this season. The pass catcher saw the field for 12 offensive snaps and logged one reception for 45 yards on two targets. He could be a candidate to be called up again in Week 11.

Elevated from practice squad
The Panthers elevated Strachan from the practice squad for Thursday night's game against the Bears, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

May have new opportunity
Strachan is expected to sign with the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis: Strachan was cut from the Colts' practice squad Tuesday, so it didn't take long for the Charleston product to find a new home. The 2021 seventh-round selection appeared in 13 games for Indianapolis last season, recording three catches on nine targets for 59 yards.

Nabs 18-yard catch in preseason
Strachan had one reception for 18 yards in Saturday's preseason loss at Buffalo.
Analysis: Strachan got time in the second quarter with the second-team offense. At 6-foot-5, Strachan could be a viable red-zone target if he wins a significant role, but the 2021 seventh-rounder is battling for one of the final receiver spots on the roster.

No targets in season finale
Strachan did not have a target and played just three snaps on offense during Sunday's 32-31 loss versus Houston.
Analysis: Strachan got one target the week before with Ashton Dulin out due to a concussion, but he barely got on the field when he returned for the finale. Strachan had just three receptions for 59 yards on nine targets during the season. The 2021 seventh-rounder will likely be in a battle to retain a roster spot for 2023.

Cleared for Monday
Strachan (concussion) is good to go for Monday's matchup with the Chargers.

Logs full practice Thursday
Strachan (concussion) was listed as a full participant on the Colts' injury report Thursday.
Analysis: Strachan popped up with a concussion on Indianapolis' injury report last Wednesday, which left him sidelined for Saturday's loss to the Vikings. It's still if the 25-year-old was able to clear the league's protocols before returning to practice in full Thursday, so his status is still up in the air for Monday's game versus the Chargers. Strachan has not hauled in a target since Week 2, so his availability doesn't figure to play much of a factor in the Colts offense.

Won't play Saturday
Strachan (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's game with the Vikings, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Strachan didn't show up on the team's injury report until Wednesday, so it appears he may have suffered the concussion during practice Tuesday. With the Colts on a short week and the late addition to the injury report, Strachan would have been hard-pressed to clear protocols ahead of Saturday's contest. His next opportunity to suit up will be Week 16 against the Chargers.

Strachan didn't practice Wednesday due to a concussion.
Analysis: After not being listed on the initial injury report Tuesday, Strachan landed on the list Wednesday as a non-participant due to a concussion. Inactive for second straight game
Strachan (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Strachan finds himself as a healthy scratch for a second straight game after appearing in the team's first nine games of the season. Michael Pittman, Parris Campbell, Alec Pierce, Ashton Dulin and Keke Coutee will be the only active wideouts for the Colts on Sunday.

No receptions despite larger role
Strachan didn't have a reception on two targets in Sunday's win over Jacksonville.
Analysis: Strachan played 19 snaps on offense and went out for 13 routes, but he wasn't much of a factor. He's getting some playing time as the fourth receiver with Ashton Dulin on injured reserve with a foot injury, but it doesn't look like Strachan will be a big part of the game plan.

Small role Sunday
Strachan did not have a target or reception while playing just six snaps on offense in Sunday's win over Kansas City.
Analysis: Strachan is a distant fifth receiver in the offense and may not get much playing time unless there are several injuries. He had just three targets last week when both Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce were out with injuries, so that doesn't bode well for any future meaningful role.

Only one catch with larger role
Strachan had one reception for 23 yards on three targets in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville. He also drew a flag for an illegal shift/false start.
Analysis: Strachan was the primary third receiver with Michael Pittman (quadriceps) and Alec Pierce (concussion) hurt and played on 35 of the offense's 50 snaps. However, Strachan struggled to get open, and the bad penalty may hurt his chances if the Colts decide to revamp the game plan for the receiving corps after a very poor performance where the offense did not score.

Larger role than expected
Strachan had two receptions for 36 yards on two targets in Sunday's overtime tie at Houston.
Analysis: Strachan played on 11 of the offense's 92 snaps, so he didn't have a huge role. Still, it was somewhat surprising to see Strachan get snaps in the passing game, let alone two big receptions, given the top four starting wideouts were healthy. That may bode well for Strachan's role in the offense should a starting wideout get hurt or fall out of favor.

Strachan has won a spot on Indy's 53-man roster, 107.5 FM The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Analysis: Strachan and Dezmon Patmon won the final two spots on the wide receiver depth chart. Strachan likely begins the season as the No. 6 receiver since he's working his way back from knee surgery this summer. Strachan had four receptions for 56 yards and a touchdown in two preseason games.

Strachan had three receptions, including a 15-yard touchdown catch, on three targets for 45 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to Detroit.

Removed from active/PUP list
The Colts activated Strachan from the active/PUP list Monday, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Analysis: Strachan began training camp on the PUP list after undergoing offseason knee surgery, but he's officially been cleared to practice for the first time this season. The 2021 seventh-round pick caught two of three targets for 26 yards across six appearances as a rookie and will look to carve out a bigger role in Year 2. At 6-foot-5, he could be another red-zone threat for Matt Ryan, but he'll likely have to compete with Dezmon Patmon and Keke Coutee for a roster spot.

Recovering from knee surgery
Strachan underwent surgery on his knee this summer, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Although currently on the active/PUP list, Strachan is still expected to participate in training camp at some point. Once he returns, he'll battle for a depth role in a wide receiver room that features six other players with in-game NFL experience and a 2022 second-round pick.

Uneventful rookie season
Strachan caught two of his three targets for 26 yards across six appearances during the 2021 campaign.
Analysis: Both of Strachan's receptions came during Week 1 against the Seahawks. The rookie saw only one target Week 2 before being a healthy scratch for 11 of the last 15 games, including the final eight. He'll still be under contract for the 2022 season, but behind Michael Pittman, the Colts' wideout corps could be in store for a facelift during the offseason.

Healthy scratch again
Strachan (coach's decision) is a healthy inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
Analysis: Strachan will be in street clothes for the seventh straight game. The rookie wideout's chances of suiting up in the Jan. 9 regular-season finale in Jacksonville wouldn't seem to be promising, as the Colts could get Parris Campbell (foot) back from injured reserve for that contest.

No receptions despite larger role
Strachan did not convert his only target into a reception in Sunday's loss to the Rams.
Analysis: Strachan played 33 snaps on offense, the third most of any Colts receiver, as he got more playing time with Parris Campbell sidelined with an abdominal injury. However, Strachan wasn't a big part of the game plan. Still, he could emerge with a larger role next week against Tennessee if Campbell remains out.

Could see larger role
Strachan could see an increased role Sunday against the Rams with Parris Campbell (abdomen) inactive for the contest, Mike Wells of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: WIth T.Y. Hilton (neck) also joining Campbell on the sideline, Strachan should move into the No. 3 receiver role. However, DeMichael Harris, just called up from the practice squad, could also be a factor. The Colts may utilize their tight ends in the passing game more frequently as well.

Strachan (ankle) isn't on the injury report heading into Sunday's game against the Rams after practicing fully Friday.

Limited by ankle issue Thursday
The Colts listed Strachan as a limited participant at Thursday's practice due to an ankle injury.
Analysis: Thanks to T.Y. Hilton (neck) opening the season on injured reserve, Strachan earned a decent-sized role in his NFL debut Week 1 against the Seahawks. In the Colts' 28-16 loss, Strachan played 16 snaps as the team's No. 4 receiver and reeled in two targets for 26 yards. Five grabs Friday
Strachan caught five of seven targets for 61 yards in Friday's preseason win over the Lions.
Analysis: The 2021 seventh-round pick is still in the hunt for the No. 5 spot on the depth chart at wide receiver, and Strachan only helped his case by significantly out-producing Ashton Dulin (two catches for seven yards), although Dezmon Patmon (two catches for 64 yards) also made an impact with a 60-yard grab late in the second quarter to help set up a field goal. Making strong impression
Strachan appears to be the leading candidate for the fifth receiver role after an impressive first half of training camp, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 ESPN Indianapolis reports.
Analysis: The Colts selected Strachan in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 229th overall. He's built upon a strong showing at spring practices to where it looks like he's set to make the 53-man roster. However, he may not get many targets as the fifth receiver, especially if the Indy passing game struggles with Carson Wentz sidelined 5-12 weeks after foot surgery.

Makes good early impression
Strachan made a strong impression in spring workouts and stood out among a deep receiving corps, ESPN Indianapolis 107.5 The Fan reports. "Strachan, the size and speed and he's got good short area quickness, he just has great competitive disposition as an athlete," coach Frank Reich said of the wideout.
Analysis: The Colts selected Strachan in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 229th overall. The 6-foot-5, 224-pounder found success as a two-year starter at Charleston, but he'll need to become at least a bit more refined to carve out a role in Indianapolis. He's a long shot to find a steady role on offense, but it looks like he has a shot at making the roster as a reserve receiver and special teams player.
