Just two targets vs. Rams
Legette caught one of two targets for one yard in Sunday's 31-28 win over the Rams.
Analysis: The second-year pro from South Carolina didn't benefit from the Panthers' run-heavy approach (40 rush attempts) during Sunday's win, failing to reach double-digit receiving yards for the third time this season. When Carolina did pass, Legette was outshined by Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan, who combined to catch five of eight targets for 117 yards and two touchdowns. Legette now has 28 catches on 53 targets for 287 yards and three touchdowns through 11 games, and his week-to-week volatility…read more

Three catches in Week 12 loss
Legette brought in three of five targets for 22 yards in the Panthers' 20-9 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
Analysis: Legette tied with Jalen Coker for second in receptions on the Panthers for the night, although that equated to very modest yardage during what was an uninspiring performance for Bryce Young. Legette was coming off his second-highest receiving yardage total (83) of the season in Week 11 against the Falcons, so Monday night's downturn was particularly glaring. Legette next faces a talented Rams secondary in a Week 13 home matchup Sunday.

Opens week with full practice
Panthers head coach Dave Canales said that Legette (hip) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Legette didn't return to this past Sunday's 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons after exiting late in the fourth quarter due to a hip issue, but his ability to open Week 12 prep as a full participant suggests he was likely held out mostly as a precaution. Assuming Legette incurs no setbacks with the hip during practice sessions Friday and Saturday, he should head into Monday's game in San Francisco without an injury designation. Despite his early exit, the second-year wideout turned in one of…read more

Spotted practicing Thursday
Legette (hip) is participating in practice Thursday, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: It remains to be seen whether Legette is listed as a full or limited participant Thursday, but it's nonetheless encouraging that he's taking part in Carolina's first official practice of the week ahead of Monday's game against the 49ers. The 2024 first-round pick injured his hip in the fourth quarter of Carolina's Week 11 overtime win over the Falcons but relayed Tuesday that he believes he'll suit up in Week 12. That optimism is supported by Legette's presence at Thursday's practice.

Expects to play through hip issue
Legette (hip) said that he anticipates being available for Monday's game against the 49ers, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Before injuring his hip late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons and not returning, Legette delivered one of his best performances of the season, finishing the afternoon with four catches for 83 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. Though Legette acknowledged Tuesday that he's still banged up two days after the game, he's optimistic that he'll suit up in San Francisco, especially given that he'll have an extra day to heal up before the Panthers resume…read more

Big day in OT win
Legette caught four of eight targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-27 overtime win over the Falcons before exiting in the fourth quarter due to a hip injury, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Legette sustained the injury on the Panthers' final possession of the fourth quarter and didn't return for the overtime period. However, he still finished as Carolina's second-leading receiver, highlighted by a 36-yard touchdown from Bryce Young in the third quarter that pulled the Panthers within one score. The second-year wideout remains an integral part of Carolina's offense, catching 24 of 46 targets for 264 yards and three touchdowns across nine appearances this season. The extent of…read more

Blanked in Week 10
Legette was targeted just once and didn't record a reception in Sunday's 17-7 loss to the Saints.
Analysis: The second-year wideout from South Carolina went without a catch for the first time this season in the Week 10 loss. He was overshadowed by Tetairoa McMillan and Jalen Coker, who led Carolina's wide receivers with 60 and 21 yards, respectively. Since Legette's breakout performance in the Week 7 win over the Jets (9-92-1), he's caught just three of seven targets for 39 yards over the past three games. Logs 22 yards in Week 9
Legette caught one of three targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 16-13 win over the Packers.
Analysis: Legette was evaluated for a possible concussion after taking a hit to the head in the second quarter, but he later returned and finished with 31 offensive snaps. Since posting a 9-92-1 receiving line against the Jets in Week 7, the second-year wideout has been quiet, recording just three catches for 39 yards over Carolina's last two contests. However, his lack of production in Week 9 can likely be attributed to the poor weather conditions and quarterback Bryce Young attempting only 20 passes…read more

Legette (head) was cleared to return to Sunday's game in Green Bay, Kassidy Hill of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette was checked for a possible concussion after taking a hit to the helmet at the end of a 22-yard catch in the second quarter that left him shaken up. He'll be looking to build upon the aforementioned reception for the rest of Week 9 action.

Getting concussion check
Legette is being evaluated for a possible concussion during Sunday's game at Green Bay, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: At the end of a 22-yard connection with QB Bryce Young in the second quarter, Legette endured a hit to the helmet and was clearly shaken up. If he's diagnosed with a concussion, Legette will be out for the rest of Week 9 and subject to clearance from an independent neurologist for his next game action.

Cleared to play
Legette (illness) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Green Bay.
Analysis: Legette returned to full participation Friday after missing practice Thursday. He should be ready for his usual starting role come Sunday, but production has been in short supply apart from a 9-92-1 outburst Week 7 against the Jets.

Misses practice with illness
Legette sat out Thursday's practice due to an illness.
Analysis: Legette didn't appear on the Panthers' initial injury report that was released Wednesday, so the illness is likely something that cropped up Wednesday night or Thursday morning. So long as Legette is able to get back on the practice field in some capacity Friday, he should have a good chance at gaining clearance to suit up this Sunday at Green Bay.

Quiet with two receptions in loss
Legette brought in two of three targets for 17 yards in the Panthers' 40-9 loss to the Bills on Sunday.
Analysis: One week after posting a career-best 9-92-1 line against the Jets, Legette saw a significant downturn in the lopsided loss. The second-year wideout's Week 7 breakout is more or less an outlier, considering Legette has topped out at three receptions and 31 receiving yards otherwise in terms of single-game highs. Legette will take a middling 19-159-2 line on 34 targets over six games into a Week 9 road trip to Green Bay.

Legette caught nine of 11 targets for 92 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 13-6 win over the Jets.
Analysis: The 2024 first-round pick had the best game of his pro career in the Week 7 win, setting personal highs in both receptions (nine) and receiving yards (92). He led the Panthers' receiving corps in catches, yards and touchdowns, while Tetairoa McMillan, Jimmy Horn and Jalen Coker combined for just four catches for 41 yards on nine targets. Just two targets vs. Dallas
Legette caught both of his targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Cowboys.
Analysis: Since returning from injury in Carolina's Week 5 win over the Dolphins, Legette has been targeted just five times, catching four passes for 42 yards and a touchdown over the team's last two games. He was outpaced by rookie wideouts Tetairoa McMillan (3-39-2) and Jimmy Horn (2-36-0), finishing sixth on the team in receiving yards during Sunday's victory. Makes TD grab in return from injury
Legette secured two of three targets for 31 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 27-24 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
Analysis: Making his return from a two-game absence due to a hamstring injury, Legette made an impact with a seven-yard scoring grab late in the second quarter that ignited a comeback from a 17-0 deficit. Despite the score, the 2024 first-round pick continues to struggle to generate anything resembling useful fantasy production, as he now has a 6-39-1 line on 18 targets through his three games. Legette (hamstring) was a full participant at Wednesday's walkthrough.
Analysis: Legette looks set to return from his two-game absence and take the field Sunday versus the Dolphins. Head coach Dave Canales confirmed as much, saying Wednesday that "we are getting [Legette] back" for Week 5. Analysis: Legette has missed back-to-back games and was unable to practice in any capacity en route to being ruled out for Week 4, but it appears he has a better chance to return Week 5 to take on the Dolphins on Sunday, Oct. 5. Across two regular-season appearances so far, the 2024 first-round pick has secured just four of 15 targets for eight yards.

Legette (hamstring) won't play Sunday against the Patriots.
Analysis: Legette, who was unable to practice this week, thus will target a potential return to action Sunday, Oct. 5 against the Dolphins. In Legette's absence this weekend, David Moore, Hunter Renfrow and Brycen Tremayne are candidates to see added Week 4 snaps alongside fellow WR Tetairoa McMillan (calf, questionable).

Remains sidelined Thursday
Legette (hamstring) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Legette got in a trio of limited practices last week with the hamstring issue but was ultimately inactive for Week 3 against the Falcons. He's now logging DNPs this week, and it's unclear if he experience some sort of setback with the hamstring. David Moore played a position-high 97 percent of the offensive snaps last Sunday versus Atlanta and would be in line for increased reps again if Legette is unable to play.

No practice Wednesday
Legette (hamstring) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
Analysis: Prior to being inactive Week 3, Legette was listed as limited on all three practice reports, so his downgrade to begin this week may be cause for concern. However, coach Dave Canales told Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site Wednesday that Legette is considered "day-to-day," meaning the wide receiver's status will continue to monitored as the week goes on to get a sense of his chances to return to action Sunday in New England.

Missing practice Wednesday
Legette (hamstring) is not participating in the early portion of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette sat out Carolina's blowout win over the Falcons in Week 3, but ahead of the contest he had logged a trio of limited practices. By comparison, his lack of participation Wednesday seems to represent a step in the wrong direction. The second-year pro will have two more chances to get back on the practice field before Sunday's road matchup against New England.

Sitting out in Week 3
Legette (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette earned significant snap shares (78 and 80 percent) in the first two games of the season, but his combined line of 4-8-0 on 15 targets to date doesn't reflect that fact. He then was limited in practice during Week 3 prep due to a hamstring issue that will sideline him Sunday. In Legette's stead, David Moore is expected to start alongside top WR Tetairoa McMillan, while Hunter Renfrow, Brycen Tremayne and Dalevon Campbell will be the other available options at the position.

Questionable for Week 3
Legette (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Carolina.
Analysis: Legette was a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday, never quite progressing to full. Brycen Tremayne was Carolina's No. 4 receiver last week, but David Moore and Jimmy Horn also could help fill the gap if Legette ends up inactive ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday. Given his poor form the past two weeks, Legette's absence wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for the Carolina offense.

Legette (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Analysis: Legette has now logged back-to-back limited practice sessions due to a hamstring injury, meaning Friday will be his final opportunity to upgrade to full reps ahead of Sunday's home matchup against the Falcons. Through two regular-season appearances thus far, Legette has managed just four catches for eight yards despite having drawn 15 targets.

Picks up minor injury
Legette was a limited practice participant Wednesday due to a hamstring injury.
Analysis: Participation of any kind at the start of the week is a good sign for Sunday availability. Legette showed no clear sign of injury in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals, logging an 81 percent snap share and an 81 percent route share, but he caught just one of eight targets for minus-two yards on a day when Carolina's other wideouts combined for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Disappoints in Week 2
Legette caught one of eight targets for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: The second-year wideout has managed just four receptions for eight yards through two games this season, a concerning start considering the Panthers attempted 90 passes over that span. However, there's still reason for optimism regarding Legette's season-long fantasy output, as his 15 targets tie Hunter Renfrow for the second-most on the team. Legette will look to turn that volume into production in a divisional matchup against the Falcons in Week 3.

Does little with Week 1 volume
Legette caught three of seven targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 26-10 loss to the Jaguars.
Analysis: The second-year wideout saw a solid share of Bryce Young's attention, but rookie Tetairoa McMillan was the Panthers' clear top option in the passing game, and Legette's longest gain went for just nine yards. After an inconsistent rookie season in 2024, Carolina is hoping Legette can take a step forward as a sophomore, but this wasn't an encouraging performance from the 32nd overall pick in last year's draft. Impressing at camp
Head coach Dave Canales told reporters Tuesday that Legette (foot) has looked "big and fast" this offseason, Anthony Rizzuti of USA Today reports.
Analysis: The 2024 first-round pick from South Carolina underwent offseason foot surgery, but he appears to be fully recovered. Legette showed flashes of brilliance in his rookie campaign, recording 44 receptions for 497 yards and four touchdowns across 16 games. However, he struggled with his focus at times, dropping eight passes. Analysis: Legette underwent the surgery to address a lingering issue he played through during the 2024 campaign. The first-rounder is coming off an underwhelming rookie campaign, having put together just a 49-497-4 receiving line on 87 targets across 16 regular-season appearances. Despite the limited playing time, the 2024 first-round pick from South Carolina was somewhat productive, recording 30 or more receiving yards for the 10th time in his rookie campaign. Analysis: Legette will continue to play through hip and wrist injuries, the latter of which may require surgery after the season. Still, he'll aim to end his rookie campaign on a high note, as he's seen at least eight targets in three of his last four appearances. Legette brought in five of nine targets for 28 yards in the Panthers' 48-14 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
Analysis: Legette made his return from a one-game absence due to hip and wrist injuries and finished tied for the team lead in receptions while also setting the pace in targets. However, the rookie could do little with his five catches, his highest total since Week 4. Analysis: Legette missed his first game of the season in last Sunday's win over Arizona, but he appears to be trending in the right direction toward a return after logging limited practice sessions both Thursday and Friday. Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Monday that Legette (hip) is day-to-day but added that the wideout will need "significant" improvement this week in order to suit up Sunday against Tampa Bay, Joe Person of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Legette may be showing improvement given Canales' description of his timeframe, as the wideout was deemed week-to-week back on Dec. 16. However, the rookie's status for Sunday remains in flux, given the coach's additional comments. Analysis: Canales said he would "love to have a chance for [Legette] to finish the season strongly," but the rookie first-round pick is expected to miss at least one contest due to the groin injury he sustained during Carolina's 30-14 loss to the Cowboys in Week 15. If Legette indeed isn't able to suit up versus Arizona, Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker and David Moore will be positioned as Bryce Young's clear top wide receivers, with Deven Thompkins acting in the No. 4 role.

Injures groin Sunday
Legette suffered a groin injury during Sunday's contest against the Cowboys, Kassidy Hill of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Before he departed in the middle of the third quarter, Legette had two catches (on three targets) for seven yards and one carry for two yards. For as long as Legette is sidelined, Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker, David Moore and Deven Thompkins are the healthy and available wide receivers for the Panthers.

Set for offseason wrist surgery
Legette said Thursday that he plans to undergo surgery in the offseason to address ligament damage to his wrist, Alex Zietlow of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Analysis: Legette first injured the wrist during his third season of college at South Carolina in 2021 and suffered an aggravation in a Week 9 win over the Saints, but it hasn't resulted in him being limited over the Panthers' ensuing four games. He's not included on the Panthers' Week 15 injury report and should continue to play through the issue over the final four games of the season with no noticeable effects.

Struggles with drops in Week 14
Legette caught two of eight targets for 39 yards in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Eagles.
Analysis: The rookie wideout had trouble hanging onto the ball all day, but Legette's biggest drop came in the fourth quarter when he couldn't haul in what might have been a game-winning 32-yard touchdown in the final minute. Legette has still caught multiple passes in eight straight games, posting a 26-281-3 line on 46 targets over that stretch. He'll try to put his volume to better use in Week 15 against the Cowboys.

Gaining momentum
Legette caught four of his eight targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 26-23 overtime loss to the Buccaneers.
Analysis: The 2024 first-round pick from South Carolina posted his third game of the season with 50-plus receiving yards in Week 13, including his second in as many weeks. His 53 yards ranked third among Panthers receiving threats in Sunday's loss, trailing Adam Thielen (99 yards) and Tommy Tremble (77 yards). Four catches in close loss
Legette caught four of his six targets for 56 yards during Sunday's 30-27 loss versus the Chiefs.
Analysis: Despite pacing Carolina's wide receivers in snaps in Week 12, Legette's six targets lagged behind teammate David Moore (10). His struggles reeling in targets also continued, as he dropped a well-placed deep ball from Bryce Young late in the fourth quarter. The Panthers will host a poor Buccaneers defense in Week 13.

Three grabs in Germany win
Legette secured three of four targets for 40 yards in the Panthers' 20-17 overtime win over the Giants in Munich on Sunday.
Analysis: Legette tied Jalen Coker for the team lead in receptions while falling just a yard short of his teammate's team-high figure in that category. Legette has been busy during Bryce Young's current three-game starting stint -- the wideout now sports an 11-117-2 line in that span -- and he should continue enjoying a steady role during a Week 12 home matchup against the Chiefs on Sunday, Nov. 24 following a Week 11 bye, even if Adam Thielen (IR, hamstring) returns for that contest.

Key role in close win
Legette brought in four of six targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers' 23-22 win over the Saints on Sunday. He also rushed once for six yards.
Analysis: Legette shared the team lead in receptions with Ja'Tavion Sanders and set the pace in targets as well, and the rookie recorded two particularly critical catches. Legette tallied his fourth touchdown of his career on a three-yard grab early in the second quarter to give Carolina its first points of the day, and he also came down with a 26-yard catch over the middle on third-and-10 during the Panthers' game-winning drive. Analysis: Legette was a midweek addition to the Panthers' Week 9 injury report due to a toe issue, culminating with back-to-back limited sessions. Analysis: Legette popped up on the injury report Thursday due to a toe injury and ended the week with a pair of limited practices. He was deemed questionable heading into the weekend, but he looks as though he'll be able to give it a go versus the Saints. Receives Week 9 questionable tag
Legette (toe) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette was added to the Panthers' injury report Thursday, when he was a limited participant in practice due to the toe injury. He again was limited in Friday's session, prompting the Panthers to give him a designation heading into the weekend. Added to injury report
Legette was limited at Thursday's practice due to a toe injury, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette is a midweek addition to Carolina's practice report, so his status bears watching Friday to see if he may be in danger of sitting out (or being inhibited) Sunday versus the Saints. In the wake of the Diontae Johnson trade earlier this week, Legette is in line to pace the Panthers' receiving corps moving forward, but the current health concern may throw a wrench into those expectations in the short term.

Finds end zone in Sunday's loss
Legette caught four of seven targets for 34 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-14 loss to the Broncos.
Analysis: The rookie wideout opened the scoring by grabbing a six-yard strike from Bryce Young in the first quarter. Legette has gotten into the end zone three times in the last five games, but he's managed only 16 catches for 134 yards on 25 targets over that stretch. Tops depth chart with Johnson out
Legette is in position for a larger role Sunday against the Broncos, as the Panthers will be without Diontae Johnson (rib) and Adam Thielen (hamstring), Kassidy Hill of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette could work as the top option in a depleted Panthers receiving corps that also includes Jalen Coker, David Moore and Jonathan Mingo. Denver boasts one of the league's stingiest secondaries, and the Broncos could get top cornerback Patrick Surtain (concussion) back from a one-game absence. Legette has caught 18 of 28 targets for 177 yards and two touchdowns through seven games. The Panthers will have Bryce Young rather than Andy Dalton (thumb) at quarterback Sunday.

Just two catches vs. Commanders
Legette caught two of his three targets for three yards in Sunday's 40-7 loss to the Commanders. He also rushed once for six yards.
Analysis: All three of Legette's touches came in the second half, possibly benefiting from a favorable game script with the Panthers trailing by as much as 37. The 2024 first-round pick is projected to continue serving as the Panthers' No. 2 wide receiver while Adam Thielen (hamstring) remains sidelined. Despite a favorable second-half game script that saw Carolina trailing by multiple scores, Legette was targeted just once in that time. Legette (shoulder) practiced fully Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports.
Analysis: Legette made an early departure from this past Sunday's loss in Chicago due to a shoulder injury, and he underwent tests on his AC joint earlier this week. Those tests must have turned up nothing too serious, considering he handled all on-field work Wednesday. The same can't be said for fellow wide receiver Diontae Johnson (ankle), who remained limited for a third straight practice going back to last week.

Legette (shoulder) said Monday he expects to suit up for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Falcons, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Legette is set to undergo imaging tests Monday to determine whether he sustained an AC joint injury while being forced out of Week 5's loss to the Bears, but the rookie first-round pick doesn't anticipate having to miss any time. Nonetheless, fantasy managers will want to monitor Legette's practice activity leading up to Week 6 action. Analysis: Coming off his big Week 4 against the Bengals, Legette was mostly a non-factor versus Chicago prior to leaving in the second half. Catches first touchdown Sunday
Legette caught six of his 10 targets for 66 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 34-24 loss to the Bengals. He added two rushes for 10 yards.
Analysis: Legette had caught just six passes for 77 yards through his first three games in Carolina. However, the 2024 first-round pick saw more snaps with Adam Thielen (hamstring) missing Sunday's contest, and Legette took full advantage of his increased opportunities, posting a 6-66-1 receiving line. Two catches against Raiders
Legette recorded two catches on three targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 36-22 win over the Raiders.
Analysis: Legette wasn't targeted in Week 2, so this performance was a step in the right direction. However, it was less impressive in the context of the rest of the offense, as Diontae Johnson racked up 122 yards while Adam Thielen (hamstring) caught a long touchdown before exiting. Canales downplayed the severity of Legette's injury, per Joe Person of The Athletic, stating that if the Panthers were currently preparing for a game week the wideout would be practicing.
