Status in question for Week 14
McConkey (knee/shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in Kansas City.
Analysis: McConkey is tending to not only a longstanding AC joint sprain in his shoulder but a sprained knee that he suffered this past Sunday in Atlanta. The pair of health concerns capped his practice reps this week, but his status remains up in the air ahead of Week 14 action. With an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, fantasy managers may be in a bind if McConkey ends up inactive, and the current healthy wide receivers on the Chargers' active roster are Quentin Johnston, Joshua Palmer, Jalen Reagor, Derius…read more

Another limited practice
McConkey (knee/shoulder) remained limited at practice Thursday.
Analysis: McConkey also was limited Wednesday, so he'll probably need to practice fully Friday in order to approach Sunday night's game against the Chiefs without an injury designation. Through 12 games to date, McConkey -- who has scored four TDs in that span -- paces the Chargers in catches (58), targets (81) and receiving yards (815), a level of production that will keep the 2024 second-rounder firmly on the Week 14 fantasy lineup radar, provided he's available.

Logs limited practice Wednesday
McConkey was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to shoulder and knee injuries.
Analysis: According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, McConkey's shoulder injury is an AC joint sprain that has been an ongoing issue, while the knee injury is a sprain that the rookie wideout sustained late in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Falcons. While McConkey's ability to practice in some fashion to begin Week 14 prep is an encouraging sign, he's far from a lock to be cleared ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Ideally for fantasy managers, McConkey will practice fully by Friday and avoid taking…read more

Expected to practice Wednesday
Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said he expects McConkey (knee) to practice Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: After a knee injury knocked out McConkey of Sunday's 17-13 win over Atlanta in the fourth quarter, Harbaugh said Monday that the rookie was "working through a couple things" and uncertain to practice this week. Any form of participation Wednesday would put McConkey on the right track to play Sunday against the Chiefs.

Uncertainty around knee injury
Coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday that McConkey (knee) is "working through a couple things," and it remains to be seen if he will practice this week, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: McConkey did all of the heavy lifting Sunday against the Falcons, securing nine of 12 targets for 117 yards, but he exited late with a knee injury and was unable to return. It's unclear if he's dealing with a day-to-day or week-to-week type of injury. McConkey should be considered questionable for next Sunday's AFC West bout with the Chiefs. If McConkey needs to miss time, the Chargers will roll with Quentin Johnston, Joshua Palmer, DJ Chark, Jalen Reagor and Derius Davis at wide receiver.

Injures knee Sunday
McConkey exited Sunday's 17-13 win over the Falcons with a knee injury.
Analysis: Prior to his departure from the contest, McConkey caught nine of his 12 targets for 117 yards. Now that the wideout is dealing with a knee issue, his status will need to be monitored as next weekend's game against the Chiefs approaches. If McConkey ends up limited or out in Week 14, DJ Chark, Jalen Reagor and Derius Davis would be candidates to log added WR snaps behind Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer.

Leading WR in MNF loss
McConkey (shoulder) caught all six of his targets for 83 yards in Monday's 30-23 loss to the Ravens.
Analysis: McConkey led all Chargers receivers outside of targets in Monday's narrow loss to Baltimore. The second-round rookie posted his third-highest receiving total of the season. McConkey has elevated himself to become Justin Herbert's top option in recent weeks, making him a strong fantasy play for next Sunday's matchup against the Falcons.

Active versus Ravens
McConkey (shoulder) is listed as active for Monday night's game against the Ravens.
Analysis: After logging a DNP on Thursday, McConkey was deemed limited Friday and Saturday before approaching Monday night's contest listed as questionable. With the 2024 second-rounder's availability versus Baltimore confirmed, McConkey is in line to remain a key target for QB Justin Herbert alongside fellow wideouts Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer. In his last outing, McConkey caught six passes (on nine targets) for a career-high 123 receiving yards in the Chargers' Week 11 win over the Bengals.

Expected to play Monday night
McConkey (shoulder) is expected to play Monday night against Baltimore, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: McConkey missed practice Thursday but was able to log back-to-back limited sessions Friday and Saturday before being labeled as questionable to play against the Ravens. With McConkey likely to play, Justin Herbert should have his full wide receiver weaponry, including Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer, in what is a plus matchup on paper for the Los Angeles passing offense.

Deemed questionable for Monday
McConkey (shoulder) is questionable for Monday's Week 12 battle against Baltimore.
Analysis: McConkey recorded a career-high 123 receiving yards against Cincinnati last Sunday, but he also picked up a shoulder injury. The rookie receiver logged a DNP/LP/LP practice progression this week, and it's uncertain if he'll be able to suit up for Monday Night Football. If McConkey misses the contest, Quentin Johnston and Joshua Palmer would be the Chargers' top two wideouts against the Ravens.

Logs limited practice Friday
McConkey (shoulder) was limited at practice Friday.
Analysis: McConkey was deemed a non-participant on Thursday's practice estimate, but the wideout's ability to work in Friday's session, albeit with a cap on his reps, bodes well for his chances of being available Monday night against the Ravens. In any case, Saturday's final injury report will relay whether McConkey approaches Week 12 action with an injury designation or fully cleared to face Baltimore.

Spotted at Friday's practice
McConkey (shoulder) is participating in practice Friday, Kris Rhim of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: McConkey missed practice Thursday due to a shoulder injury. He sustained the injury in the first half of Sunday night's win over the Bengals but returned to the game after a brief trip to the locker room and proceeded to finish with 123 receiving yards. The extent of McConkey's participation level will be clarified later Friday, but he's trending in the right direction ahead of Monday's juicy matchup against a Ravens secondary that has allowed the most receiving yards (2,084) to wide receivers…read more

Estimated as non-practice participant
McConkey (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant on Thursday's practice estimate.
Analysis: McConkey was on the field for 73 percent of the Chargers' snaps on offense during the team's Week 11 win over the Bengals en route to catching six of his nine targets for 123 yards. However, now that he's listed as having a shoulder issue, the wideout's status is worth tracking as Monday night's game against the Ravens approaches. Look for added context regarding McConkey's Week 12 playing prospects to arrive via his participation level in Friday's practice.

Two catches on game-winning drive
McConkey caught six of his nine targets for 123 yards in the 34-27 win over the Bengals on Sunday.
Analysis: McConkey was briefly in the locker room due to an apparent shoulder injury in the first half, but the rookie returned relatively shortly thereafter. Justin Herbert found the Georgia product twice on the final drive of the game, as McConkey tallied receptions of 28 and 27 yards to help put the team in field-goal range before J.K. Hurts shoulder on SNF
McConkey (shoulder) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Bengals.
Analysis: McConkey got up favoring his shoulder after landing hard at the end of a 20-yard catch in the first quarter. That was the rookie's only target prior to the injury. The Chargers' other active wide receivers Sunday night are Quentin Johnston, Joshua Palmer, Jalen Reagor and Derius Davis.

Longest reception of day
McConkey caught both of his targets for 52 yards in a 27-17 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Analysis: McConkey had the team's most explosive play of the afternoon, a nice 18-yard out route deep in enemy territory that the rookie then jettisoned for nearly another 20 yards. The reception was part of a 95-yard touchdown drive early in the fourth quarter that effectively iced the game. The 22-year-old has typically been the go-to wide receiver for the offense, but in a game during which Justin Herbert attempted just 18 passes there was never going to be a ton of volume to prop up a massive fantasy…read more

Five catches in win
McConkey secured five of seven targets for 64 yards in the Chargers' 27-10 win over the Browns on Sunday.
Analysis: McConkey set the pace in receptions and targets for the Chargers while checking in second in receiving yards to Quentin Johnston. The rookie has shown consistently improving chemistry with Justin Herbert, now having recorded at least five receptions in four of the last five contests. McConkey next takes aim at the Titans in a Week 10 home matchup.

McConkey (hip) practiced fully Thursday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Analysis: The same goes for Quentin Johnston (ankle), which sets the stage for the Chargers to have their top three wideouts (McConkey, Johnston and Joshua Palmer) available Sunday against the Browns. It also looks like DJ Chark (groin, IR) is trending toward returning to action this weekend, but in any case, McConkey should maintain steady enough volume going forward to yield weekly fantasy lineup utility.

Limited practice Wednesday
McConkey (hip) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports.
Analysis: McConkey continues to manage a hip issue, but with no reported setbacks coming out of this past Sunday's win over the Saints, the rookie might have had his reps capped Wednesday for maintenance reasons. He'll have two more chances to increase his practice participation and clear up any lingering concern about his health ahead of this weekend's game against the Browns.

Two TDs in breakout performance
McConkey (hip) caught all six of his targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 26-8 win over the Saints.
Analysis: McConkey was questionable heading into the game due to a hip injury, but the rookie didn't seem hampered at all physically in a breakout performance that included a 60-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter and a nine-yard touchdown in the fourth. His two touchdown catches in this one matched McConkey's total from his first six NFL games, and the second-round pick out of Georgia has seen at least six targets in all but one game in what has been a promising start to his career. Analysis: McConkey remains questionable due to a hip issue, but he appears set to be cleared when the Chargers release their inactive list 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. The rookie wideout didn't practice Wednesday and Thursday but returned for a limited session Friday. Grabs five receptions Monday
McConkey (hip) caught five of seven targets for 46 yards in Monday's 17-15 loss to the Cardinals.
Analysis: McConkey was one of several Chargers' wideouts carrying injury designations heading into Monday's contest. The 2024 second-round pick managed to overcome a hip injury in order to suit up and fill a prominent role on offense. McConkey (hip) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Cardinals.
Analysis: McConkey was a limited participant in practice all week, putting some question into his status for Monday's contest. Analysis: McConkey was listed as limited on Thursday's practice estimate, a level of participation he maintained a day later. He thus has one more chance to upgrade to full participation and in turn potentially clearing himself ahead of Monday night's game against the Cardinals. With a 19-219-2 line on 32 targets through five games to date, McConkey has carved out a degree of fantasy utility in his first season as pro, thanks to his steady involvement in the Chargers' passing game.

McConkey (hip) was listed as limited on Thursday's practice estimate.
Analysis: McConkey, who caught four of his eight targets for 43 yards in this past Sunday's 23-16 win over the Broncos, is one of three Chargers' WRs on the team's Week 7 injury report. In addition to McConkey, Quentin Johnston (ankle) was deemed a 'DNP' in Thursday's practice, while Simi Fehoko (shoulder/groin) was listed as limited. Leads team in targets
McConkey caught four of his eight targets for 43 yards in the 23-16 victory over the Broncos on Sunday.
Analysis: McConkey led the team in targets by a wide margin, but quarterback Justin Herbert spread the ball around plenty as nine different players caught a pass in this contest. The rookie second-round pick briefly left the game in the first half due to an injury, but he was able to return relatively quickly. Best game as pro
McConkey recorded five receptions on seven targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Chiefs.
Analysis: McConkey was one of the few bright spots in Sunday's loss, as he combined both volume and big-play ability in a game for the first time as a pro. He was impressive on the Chargers' opening drive, racking up three catches for 27 yards -- highlighted by a seven-yard touchdown reception. Analysis: McConkey's longest reception, an 18-yarder in the fourth quarter, actually came from backup QB Taylor Heinicke, who took over in the final 15 minutes after Justin Herbert appeared to aggravate an ankle injury he had coming into the contest. Analysis: It's worth noting McConkey's touchdown came in the waning moments of the game as the weary Raiders defense sold out to stop the run, allowing the rookie to get wide open on a short crossing route. He easily juked two defenders en route to the end zone. McConkey caught his only target for five yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Rams.
Analysis: McConkey made his debut for the Chargers against the team's cross-town rivals after sitting out last week's exhibition. The 34th selection in this year's draft didn't get a ton of burn with the rest of the starters Saturday, but he registered the first preseason catch of his career from the arm of backup quarterback Easton Stick. Though McConkey was in uniform to warm up Saturday, he changed to street clothes before kickoff. Working with starters consistently
McConkey, Joshua Palmer and DJ Chark have been the main receivers for the first-team offense during Chargers training camp, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Popper notes that McConkey has "flashed" throughout spring and summer practices and looks particularly good while working from the slot.
